How would I get from Manchester New Hampshire to Boston when I have no car?
Question:
I am going to a job orientation in Manchester New Hampshire, for 3 days, from the 21st to the 23rd. I have a ride up there, and the company is putting new hires up in a hotel for 2 nights, which means that after the last day of orientation, which ends at 4:30pm, I'm going to need to find a way back to Boston. Any ideas on transportation?

Answer:
You could rent a car one-way and drive to Boston. The hotel you are staying at should be able to recommend some ways for you to get to Boston too. There also must be shuttles from Manchester to Boston. Another option is flying from Manchester airport to Logan airport. Major airlines fly in and out of Manchester.

Does anyone know how much it costs to trade at New Smithfield Market car boot sale in Manchester on Sundays?
Question:
Iam wanting to do a car boot sale this coming Sunday.I believe it is very popular here, but have not been able to find out how much they charge per car/pitch. Does anyone know what the charge is here please.

Answer:
£28 per pitch. "There's no need to book, just turn up on Sunday and join the queue, gates open from 6am. Casual spaces are allocated on a first come, first served basis. We only provide the spaces, you will need to bring with you all the selling equipment you may need. Don't forget to bring the daily space fee with you, which increased to £28 per space on 1 April 2007."

how many hours is new york, ny from manchester new hampshire by bus or car?

Answer:
Car is 4 - 5 hours. By bus I'm guessing it would be somewhat longer if there were stops along the way.

If you don't have a car, what is the best way to get from Boston to Manchester, New Hampshire?

Answer:
Your best option is probably Concord Trailways buslines for $15 one way. Here's the link to their schedule. http://www.concordtrailways.com/new_hampshire_bus_sc hedule.htm Here's the fares. http://www.concordtrailways.com/concord_trailways_bus_far es.htm 2nd best is probably the train (Amtrak) which'll get you from Boston to Manchester in about an hour (station to station), except Amtrak uses connecting bus service too! Here's their link. http://www.cwrr.com/Amtrak/e_thrwy.html http://www.cwrr .com/Amtrak/e_thrwy.html#mbc Vermont transit Lines also operates in that corridor. Here's their schedule info. http://www.vermonttransit.com/table62.html There is also a FREE shuttle (Manchester Bus) from Charleston, BUT ONLY IF you are departing/arriving on a flight into Manchester. However, you didn’t mention anything about flying into/out of Manchester, so you’re probably out of luck on this one. However, if you depart/arrive on a flight into Manchester airport, you can take the Manchester shuttle from Woburn/Charleston/Sullivan Square after catching the MBTA (subway/bus) to there. It's every two hours (not hourly as some people say). Then again, you could always call to see if they’d take your Logan ticket as a transfer. Here’s the link for more info including timetable, contact info, connecting info, and conditions for the free shuttle. http://www.flymanchester.com/transportation/shuttle_s ervice.php So, net/net, bus it is! Hope that helps!

I have experience in customer service, retail, security (but, put down depression to get my license and no one will hire me now) and a personal care associate. Is there anyone that knows whose hiring?

Answer:
Your question has shown up in the UK Manchester category. You will need to re-post it in the correct category to get any useful answers.

Cheapest way to get from Massachusetts to New Hampshire? No car?
Question:
Hi, I am from Massachusetts and need to go to New Hampshire. I have no car and very little money. What is the cheapest way (for two people) to get to New Hampshire using public transpo/T/bus? I am trying to get to Manchester but just to get into New Hampshire would be enough.

Answer:
Take the Amtrak, buses are awful. And it likely has a good schedule and may be cheapest. Search on Amtrak "Boston to Manchester" or something like that. Nothing like traveling in comfort, walk around, better views, better restroom.... Train departs Springfield MA to Claremont NH http://www.visit-newhampshire.com/current_category.2561/compa nies_list.html Concord Trailways <-------- Toll Free: (800) 639-3317 http://www.concordcoachlines.com/concord-to-boston.html Better url ! $24 I think -- this is it. Hey, it looks like the second choice is better because there is no Amtrak in Manchester according to internet and Claremont is about 60 mi further NW of Manchester, so for the train you would need to bus back 60 mi to Manchester.

Looking for some places to use as a photographic background in Manchester.?
Question:
I'm looking at taking some arty photos of my car against some of Manchester's architectural / industrial areas (new buildings, railway arches etc). Can anyone recommend anywhere?

Answer:
Hiya. Castlefield is a good area for new developments and canal side stuff too. There's a great church on Mancunian Way which has been converted into apartments and is lit up at night. Ancoats has some good old mill type buildings (Sankeys night club being one of these). The area in the city centre around Selfridges has some very interesting architecture. Old tudor (i think!) buildings next to modern developments. Also Urbis just round the corner is great for a modern setting, made of glass and an interesting shape. Piccadilliy's railway arches are interesting and provide a good back drop for an industrial setting. The Beetham Tower at the end of Deansgate is the tallest residential building in UK and could be good too. These are all city centre type areas and you could get round them all easily in a day. Hope this helps!

Transport from Manchester center to stockport?
Question:
Hey guys, i'm moving into a new apartment in manchester city center in september and will be attending stockport college the following september.I'm new to the area and don't fancy bringing my car with me. (I would rather go by train if its possible) Thanks! does anyone know the cheapest and quickest way to get to stockport college from manchester center daily?

Answer:
As long as you're not traveling in rush hour traffic, the 192 bus is always an option. It is very frequent, every 5 minutes or so. The bus goes down the A6 through Longsight and Levenshume and takes about 25 mins in normal traffic, in rush hour it can take over an hour. Ignore any stories of it being the most dangerous bus route in Europe, it's outdated and only ever really applied to Friday/Saturday nights. If you plan to use the bus regularly, I would recommend buying a weekly megarider for £11, so i've been told. The train is probably a better choice as it is always quick, 15-20 minutes at the most. The train is about £2.50 for a day return ticket. This is between Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport train stations. From Stockport train station it's about a 5 minute walk down Station road and the A6 to Stockport college.
