How long would it take from nevada sparks to colorado springs by car?
Question:
thank you for your anwsers~

Answer:
The previous answer is WAY OFF!! You would have to average about 120 miles per hour to make it in 8 hours!! Maybe on a NASCAR track but not on I-70. It is about 1130 miles - its going to take you at least 15 - 17 hours depending on how much you want to go above the speed limit.

does anyone know how to lease a car. what credit score is needed. mine is 680?
Question:
i am looking for a place in reno or sparks nevada.

Answer:
DON'T LEASE A VEHICLE.................... Leasing has its drawbacks. Once you're in the leasing habit, monthly payments go on forever. You do get to drive one late-model car after another, but you're always on the steep side of the depreciation curve--the time of a car's life when it depreciates the fastest. (It's the same as if you traded in your car in every two or three years.) When you own a car, you can put on as many miles as you like without a financial penalty, and wear and tear need not be a special concern. When you lease, you pay penalties of perhaps 25 cents per mile for going over the preset mileage limit--usually 12,000 to 15,000 miles per year. You'll also have to pay to have the car reconditioned if the dealer judges that it suffers from excess wear and tear when you turn it in. Of course, if you own a vehicle, excessive wear and tear will lower its resale value. If you need to get out of the lease before its term expires, you may be stuck with thousands of dollars in early-termination fees and penalties--all due at once. The bottom line: leasing is best for those who drive less than 15,000 miles a year, who keep a vehicle in good shape, and who tend to get a new car every two or three years anyway.

Registering an out of State car in Clark County Nevada?
Question:
I have a 1982 Mercedes-Benz 300SD turbo-diesel. In Clark county an annual smog check is required for this vehicle. How difficult is this test? A read on the DMV website that they will do a dyno test in conjunction with putting a probe in the tailpipe. Is this kind of car known for doing poorly in these kinds of tests? I realize the car has a lower standard than newer cars. I also noticed there weren't very many old Mercedes Diesels in Las Vegas compared to where I'm coming from. Could this mandatory smog test be a real problem for me? It's not like there is much to repair on this car if it fails. There is no Catalytic converter, no spark plugs and associated wires, no points and rotors, no O2 sensor. Probably the only thing they can do to improve it is an air filter change, valve adjustment, and new fuel injectors. But all of those things are perfectly fine right now. So should I be worried? Could the fact that there are no cars like this in Las Vegas be an indicator that the smog tests are too severe?

Answer:
I don't know about smog, but I know in my state they do emissions tests. cars that are old do not have to pass an emissions test. double check to see if you're required to do a smog test since the car is so old before you worry about it

Ticketed for throwing lit cigarette out of window?
Question:
Hi everyone, First off, I would like to say I am an upstanding citizen, who hasn't had any violations in 6 years. I live in the Reno/Sparks area in Nevada, and at 3 am last night coming home from work, tired threw my cigarette out of the window. Sad thing was, I had the ashtray open, but wasn't paying attention. Here's the problem. The ticket is $1132. I was pulled over in Sparks, but I google the Reno area and it's $240, I can't find anything on this except the statute. I am frustrated at the amount of this ticket, my husband is laid off from work, and there is no way we can pay it. I have a court date set for April, what should I do? I've only ever had a speeding ticket 6 years ago for $95, paid it and slowed down. For all angry people out there, everyone makes mistakes, but $1132 for throwing a cigarette out of the window is more expensive than having people drinking alcohol in your car, or reckless driving OR hit and run. It's $100 less than a DUI, which endangers lives. I think this is very steep. I also got the 3rd degree from this cop, even though I wasn't speeding, nor violated any rules of the road warranting such a harsh attitude from the cop. It's February, and all it's done for a month is rain and snow, and this was on a highway with nothing around but road and gravel. How can I get this fine to a more reasonable level? I'm not denying that I did it, but I cannot pay this amount, not with my husband out of work. Thanks everyone. Like I said this is a highway. A fairly large one, surrounded by gravel, and it's Feb. I know very well the concequences of the forest fires, I watch them burn every year due to lightning, only California out does Nevada in yearly forest fires. I do not think $1132 is appropiate, I also don't understand why 1 mile away in Reno, it's $240, but in Sparks it's so steep. I would also rather have the law enforcement chasing drunk drivers, and those who speed through school zones and endanger my children. Why is a fine for speeding through a school zone only $250? I think somewhere under $300 would be appropriate for this offense. That's enough to wake people up, me included.

Answer:
Courts looks at this as 1.littering and 2.hazard to the surrounding area. Both cases the state has to pay people to pick up litter / take out the fires so they are trying to make people think 2x's about this. You should call the courts and ask if you may come up with a payment plan or do community service.

Is he even worth trying to date?
Question:
The guy I like might like me back and I really really like him. He goes to my church. Today during the sermon he kept looking over at me and then I'd look over at him and then we'd both quickly turn away... we did it like 5 times in a half hour it was really cute I think. There are a few problems though... my best friend hates him. He goes to a different school. I might live in Nevada all summer since my dad just bought a company there. I don't want to fall in love with him and then have to break up with him because i'll have to move. We're 14 so we don't have cars so it will be hard to see each other but he only lives across town. But when I talk to him I feel sparks that are undeniable. I want to date him but I'm afraid that there are too many things tearing us apart.
