Can cops search your car for fireworks when leaving Pahrump?

I've heard that Pahrump is the place to go for fireworks in Nevada, but that cops can (and do) pull over cars and search them for fireworks when crossing the county border going back to Vegas. How can they get away with this? I seem to recall that the Supreme court said that cops have to have a reason to search a car.

Answer:
It's not unusual for police in one jurisdiction to monitor activities in another jurisdiction and then exercise their police powers once you enter their jurisdiction. If they observe you loading fireworks in your vehicle they have all the reason that they need to justify the search. Missouri has very low tobacco and alcohol taxes compared to the 9 surrounding states and it's not unusual to see out-of-state undercover police stake-outs at retailers near the state lines. If they observe you leaving with large quantities and heading across the state line, they will pull you over legally.

i was watching this show and they went to pahrump for a speedway like they were racing lambos around this track where and what is the speed way called? is it worth it? can u drive your own car? is there anything else to see in pahrump

i live here. race track is called spring mountain raceway. yes you can rent the track and race your own vehicle, but it seriously is like 3000 dollars. usually big car groups do this. yes there are also driving courses that you can take with corvettes but these also run in the thousands. the only other thing really to see in pahrump is the whore houses. they are legal they are 45 miles from vegas. You can go in and even just eat lunch their while the girls try and sell themselves to you. Females and males are welcome. Sheris ranch & chicken ranch are the names. google them they have websites. Otherwise this town has like ten RV parks, ten casinos that suck, a walmart, and some fast food and a strip club.. OHHH if you know who Heidi Fliess is ( former hollywood madam, look her up she celebrity status from the nintys) she has a coin luandry place that is called Dirty Laundry. Cool for pics and to say you have been there..hmmm thats about it. This town sucks..

How do i get fireworks from Pahrump to L.A?

How do i get fireworks from Pahrump nevada to Los angeles California without being caught. It's cuz i've read stories that a couple years ago (not sure if they still do it) cops would stake out in fireworks stores parking lots and if they saw someone with a california license plate load fireworks into their car they would send the plate number to the border patrol and they would pull that car over and search it 4 fireworks. so holw do i transport the fireworks without being caught

I might be going to pahrump to get some fireworks. I know i cant light them off in the county so where can i go? I dont want to go somewhere too far away from pahrump because i live in california and i dont want to take a huge car ride home. Does anyone know if i can just find a place in the desert and light them off?

There is a launching pad located near the Moapa fireworks shops where it is legal to set them off.

affordable, light track car for beginners?

im 15 and cant drive for another year but my dads a member out at spring mountain raceway in pahrump, nevada and my he plans to let me race out there when im old enough. i already track go karts so im use to speed. He wants me to find a car myself though. he currently drives a spec 944, and he has friends with miatas, so i know about those. I need some suggestions for a good, light and affordable (at most 4 grand) track car. it doesn't have to be a daily driver i already hav one of those. i prefer older cars like the ac cobra, but that's too expensive. thank you
