A question about traveling long distance with cats
Question:
I am thinking about moving, and I have 3 cats that are 10 and 8. (2 are 8). I am going to be going a long distance though.. from Missouri to Washington state. I do not know the best way to travel with them.. and the safest.. and make is non-stressful to my babies. They do not like the car.. they hate the car and yowl all the time. I need some advise please they have only been in the car for no longer than 30 minutes before.

Answer:
I just moved across country with FOUR cats - I called 1-800-pet-meds and bought "Be Serene". I tested it a few weeks ahead of time to see how much I needed for each individual cat. It comes in a small bottle with a dropper-cap - and one bottle will be MORE than enough. I still have over a half a bottle left. It was a little over $19. Make sure also you start to get them used to be in a carrier. A few weeks before moving, put the carrier in a place they hang out around, take off the door if possible (if not, make sure it can NOT close by accident or rubbing their head on) and put a blanket/towel with a little catnip on it (do not change the blanket/towel, it'll have their scent on it after all this training). Praise them quietly when they go in so they get to know it as a positive interaction. I do want to give you one personal warning. The operator at the 1-800-pet-meds said to put a few drops on the blanket/towel in the carrier to keep them calm - don't do it - it made me less than alert while driving... so it did effect me as well. Put it in their food/water or rub a little on their ear tips or head - but don't put it on the blanket if you are going to have them with you in the closed-window car.

How is living in St. Louis, Missouri compared to Atlanta?
Question:
I'm considering going to graduate school at Washington U. but I'm a little hesitant about moving to St. Louis. I've heard they have one of the highest crime rates in the US (ranked like #3 I think, yikes!). So, what's it like living there? I live in Atlanta now, so can anyone make any comparisons (cost, public transport, activities, nightlife...)? Also, would it it necessary to own a car to get around? Thanks!!

Answer:
I went to Emory in Atlanta and Washington U Law in St. Louis. Atlanta is more face paced and cosmopolitan. St. Louis has more of a "home town" atmosphere with a lot of neat ethnic neighborhoods. You really can't do much better than Wash. U. Moreover, St. Louis is a marvelous town. It is very safe, particularly around Wash U. Yes, there is some crime but that is in isolated pockets mainly in North City and North County, well away from Wash U. You just can't go wrong with Wash U. and St. Louis. Cost of living is lower in St. Louis. We have a good bus system and light rail system. Nightlife is hopping in the Central West End on Delmar (near Wash U.) or downtown on Laclede's Landing. Once you visit the Wash U. campus and surrounding areas you won't want to leave.

best car scrap prices in missouri?
Question:
63090 washington MO. I have a 97 dodge intrepid, 3.3 v6. the only thing wrong with it is it has a knock in the engine, minor dents, still actually drives decent everything else is fine but i really think its days are almost up and im getting a different car in a few days and want some money. so where can i go with it or whats the best site with highest price for scraping. im looking for like $375 minimum

Answer:
Most Scrap yards will give you about $100 dollars. Your best bet is to sell it the way it is, and be sure to inform the person buying it what it is doing. If you hide the fact, they can come back and sue you. A lot of people with mechanical knowledge and expertise will buy cars needing repairs and swap engines or whatever they need to do.

This might be alot to ask but I want to know?
Question:

Answer:

Army BT, and AIT cheating? How easy is it to have sexual relations in BT??
Question:
I am a college sophomore and my boyfriend of three years is leaving for the Army on July 26th. We live in Washington DC. He will do his basic training in Missouri and his AIT in Texas. All in all, he will be pretty much gone until April. In the last two months, our relationship has really been thrown for a loop. He didnt like the way I would always down talk him (he wasnt in school, not working a decent paying job, no car, etc.) I got upset most of the time because I cared for him and wanted to best. But in May, he got fed up w/ me & left me for another girl. I fought soooo hard to get him back, and I did. He claims all his feelings for this girl are gone, but we havent really had time to rekindle all the feelings we have 4 each other. Now he has to leave, and I fear he will cheat on me w/ an Army girl at BT or anyone in AIT. I was really hurt when he left me so I know that this is where most of my doubts are coming from but I cant help it. Any words of wisdom?

Answer:
I doubt he will even have time to cheat at Basic... Hell, I dont even think he will have the energy by the end of the day to even want to... But AIT is different. Like the people above me said, it can be easy to get into a relationship while at AIT... If its nothing but guys, then they will all hang out at the local bars together, maybe even try to pick up women. I went to AIT with both guys and girls. We were always chasing women... And trust me.. those hormones are flowing after 2 months in basic training without relations.... I think the best thing for you to do, is to sit down and talk to him about it... Let him know how you are feeling about the whole situation, and let him know what you are expecting of him... Tell him if he does decide to cheat, dont let him string you along and to be honest with you... Just be open with him about it.

What states serve Car Title Loans?
Question:
I know there are some states that do car title loans some states that don't. Can anyone give me a list of states that do and states that don't? Does Minnesota? Pennsylvania? Michigan? Ohio? Maryland? Washington? DC? Oklahoma? Nebraska? Virginia? Massachusetts? Rhode Island? Arkansas? North Carolina? Iowa? Missouri? Connecticut? South Carolina? Utah? Thank you.

Answer:
This bit of information is much harder to find than I anticipated. However, I did find a pdf that does go into the gory details of the title loan laws by state. "Thirteen states have either enacted title loan laws or court decisions have authorized high cost title loans under pawn laws, and four additional states set no rate caps on loans made by licensed lenders. States that authorize title loans by specific laws or regulations that include very high rate caps are Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Mississippi, Montana and Tennessee. Car title loans are specifically authorized with no rate caps in Idaho, Illinois, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, Oregon and Utah. Licensed lenders, including title lenders, are permitted to make loans with no rate caps in Delaware, New Mexico, South Dakota and Wisconsin."

Question:

Looking for great family friendly sites to make this trip very memoriable. We are already planning stops at Crater Lake, Yellowston, Redwood Forest. Four Corners, and the Statue of Liberty. Thanks for all your advice!

Answer:
It would help us all immensely if you could provide your exact stops in each state so that we can better advise you. Get a National Parks Pass > $ 80.00 Good for a year at any NPS site that charges a fee . Get the expensive AAA membership. Not only is it good for towing but it will save you money on motes , restaurants and hopefully not car repairs. Sam's club will do the same thing. Get a CB radio. There are a lot of places in the West where cell phones simply won't work. Get back to us We back . I'll try to get you to PHX today then other places on other days. Since snow is going to be a real issue on this trip I'm going to try to get most of the snow in wilderness driving out of the way as early possible . Get your Rand McNally out for this and I have personally driven about 90% of the roads I'm sending you down I would go Oregon , Boise ID>Arco ID > West Yellowstone MT >Jackson WY>Green River WY > Vernal UT>Moab UT > Monticello UT> Cortez CO > Mesa Verde NP >Shiprock NM> Four Corners > Montezuma Creek UT>Blanding UT I'm sending you north on a loop that will take you north to the Jct of SR 95 west on Sr SR 95 then south on SR 261. The squiggles on SR 261 represent Moquoi Dugway.Moguoi Dugway is a washboard gravel road w/ no guard rails that switchbacks a couple of thousand feet of cliff face at a 10% grade. The view is stunning, Some people that have driven it love it while others still have the impressions of their fingers permanently imbedded in their steering wheels. If you chose not to go that route then Montezuma Creek UT > Mexican Hat UT make sure that you do the detour for the Goosenecks of the San Juan River State Park.> Kayenta AZ > Cameron Az- Reserve a room for the 2 nights at the Cameron Trading Post .
