Yes, renting a car in Minneapolis is the best way. There is an historic hotel in downtown Red Wind called the St. James. It is really beautiful and has a restaurant inside. Walk down to the river and enjoy the scenery in the park. There is also a small local art gallery inside the train station. All within a couple of blocks of the hotel.

My brother loves Ovechkin, so when the Caps came in town, I bought him tickets for his birthday. I used a really big box, with lots of empty bags and papers in it, and put the tickets in a small Ziploc bag so it doesn't get riped off and put it in the box. It looked like there was nothing at all in it. But, he finally find them, and was pretty happy! And I also used a lot of hockey tape to wrap it...but that's just a tradition in our family, since its harder to remove and takes more time. Not really creative, but it was fun too see him unwrap it and trying to find the gift.
