This beauty of a gal has lived here all my life.and still single wink ,wink...it is a great place to live many celebrities have come from,around the many great areas here.need i say Actor Tim Allen knows kalamazoo ,michigan he once got arrested in kalamazoo for drugs..his sister lives in portage too.there is many great colleges like Western University,Kalamazoo community college knows as KVCC has plans to build a fancy culinary school in the near future too..and also kalamazoo,college.. and Everest medical school here...as for jobs there is plenty of jobs,fast food,service jobs,and tech jobs....i just heard perrego drugs in plain well michigan here is hiring 100 new employees soon...There is many great shops here,and thrift stores,and if your in need of clothing etc there is free clothing shops,and thrift stores too...plenty of yard sales start in the spring time thru the summer months...and free cycle.org is a great site if your in need of stuff and a free site at that ..there goal is to reduce waste at land fills...also pleanty of churches during the summer months now offer free clothing give away's if your in need of stuff.(thought i better mention that as well). We also have many great fast food places,many great movie theaters and many play houses etc ..many great book stores .the kalamazoo,library down town in the basement has a place called friends of the library and many discounted books if you like to read like this gal does..during the summer they usually have a ten cent book sales we love to go too my son and i..he is all grown up and lives in Kalamazoo now..i am still in a town called Mattawan ,Michigan but i come from Kalamazoo,Michigan..many great donout shops or gyms to work out at..many great eateries,fine dining too, as it is winter here just use common since on slippery roads can be very trechourous here .a cop once told me when driving on slippery roads drive at a speed where you can controll the wheel at all times..which would be between 20 -to 35 miles and hour or at a slow speed...Here in Mattawan ,Michigan we have many steep hills and with ice look out...though if you have a family and children we have many great public schools here..i grew up in kalamazoo ,Michigan and the Vicksburg ,Michigan area.. if you like to ski there is Timber Ridge. I was parked in a large lot away from the main building. I was parked within three spots form a sign saying visitors lot. There was no other signage saying the lot was illegal. There is a single sing at the apartments enterence saying that illegally parked cars will be towed at owners expense. The person I was visiting at the apartment said i was legally parked.
