is there a cab service in Holland, Michigan?
Question:
I have a friend who lives in Holland, Michigan with her boyfriends family. She doesn't have a car and he nor his family will not take her to Chicago (where she moved from). She tells me there is no cab service out there....is she correct?

Answer:
Thats not true, you can find Cabs anywhere, and the "Sweet_Di" has listed cabs there, the thing is Holland, Mi is a small town, so you wont find cabs on the street say like in Chicago or New York City, but there are plenty of cabs there, and just be forewarned, they will be very expensive to take someone to Chicago, couple of hundred bucks. Better off flying there, by going to Grand Rapids and then taking a plane to Chicago. Best Wishes, Prince!

Cars in Michigan cost more than California, wtf?
Question:
Man, what a rip off here in Michigan. I moved here in Sept 2011 seven months now. I'm 28 and working out here. I been vehicle shopping on Craiglist and the price is ridiculous. I can't find a reliable and decent looking vehicle within my price range ($2,000-4,000) but I really want to spend the most is 2,000. I checked Kelly Blue Book and it shows the difference comparing the two states. It doesn't make sense shouldn't it be the other way around. I sold and bought on Craiglist before so I know what I am talking about. I also have cousin and friends I went with plenty of time to check out a car. I seen A LOT of vehicles posted on Craiglist in Michigan and most of them look like sh*t for the price I really want to pay. What you will find in Michigan Craiglist for a $2,000 vehicle. - rust, nothing but rust. Big a*s rust holes like a bunch of termite chewing thru the metal. - 200k mileage and up - 1996 model and below only, maybe now and then you'll find a new model in this price range - don't run and look like sh*t like a gernade was thrown at it and they're trying to sell it for 2,000 - lots of dents - salvage title - major mechanical issues - people post from out of state like Kansas, IL, IN or place that are 3 hour away (you almost never see that kind of posting in CA.). I mean really who will drive 3 hours to go check it out by the time you get there someone in that area bought it. What you will find in California Craiglist for $2,000 - 90k -180k mileage anything over 200k the price really have to drop BUT not in Michigan! - no rust at all - 2009 model and below, usually the new model that sell cheap have issues but you can still find a lot of them selling in the 2,000-3,000 range. - basically something decent no dents, decent mileage, and everything functional. Anywhere from 1,200 - 2,000in California that's literally the average and you'll still get something decent. If your from Michigan don't take this the wrong way. I have looked in Batte Creek, Lansing, Muskegon, Holland, GR. just about the whole West Michigan area. I'm still looking. I am just surprise at the cost I guess this even it out since the cost of living here is a lot cheaper.

When can my husband apply to reinstate his license?
Question:
My husband and I are unfortunately having to apply for a bankruptcy! Thongs just happened. Anyway, one of the debts is from State Farm. We got into an accident a few years back. The officer didnt give him a ticket and all the other drivers had state farm too, a little odd to me. State farm came up with a stupid reason for kicking him off and sued him. We werent able tp keep paying and since they couldnt garnish his military disability because it is not an income they had the state suspend his license. At one point he was able to get a restricted license and drive only his one vehicle. We had to pay qiute a bit more for a special insurance. Within a month or so the license expired of course they didnt tell us. We were in Holland, michigan at the time and had to pay them $200. Now they act like he cant even get a restricted license until the debt is paid back to State Farm...what crooks! Didnt understand why we even paid to state farm when they didnt even pay for the accident. It was an accident in the mid of winter where simeone got into an accident. We were going around a curve and didnt notice the line of cars in time. We got into the accident and hit three cars, then someone got into an accident after us. We are from Grand Rapids, michigan. This accident made us decide to apply for bankruptcy or it will be years before we can drive again. My question is how soon after we start the bankruptcy in Michigan can he apply to get his license reinstated? Also do we have to wait for the debts to be removed before going to secretary of state or can we just show them his forms for starting the bankruptcy for him to get his license reinstated? And are there fees associated with license reinstatement? Serious answers only please, thanks!! :-)

Car Accident in Michgan....need answers to something?
Question:
So I am a Janitor at a middle school in Holland, Michigan. A fellow coworker parked right behind me and I backed up into her. This is a privae parking lot. There wasn't a whole lot of damage done but it is still aparent. The 911 dispatcher said to just riht down eachothers information and hand it in to the insurace companies tomorrow. We both have PLPD insurance...am I ging to end up having to pay for anythng? and will my insurance go up?

Answer:
if this was your first accident with in the last 3 years, then probably not. sense a police report was not made, then it won't affect your premiums. sense this was in a private lot, the other driver will have to take you to small claims court to collect for the damage that was done to their car. with just no fault insurance, that's the routine. if you settle with the other party, make sure you write a check and on the memo part of the check, write, "settlement for accident" so he/she can't sue you............ hope this has helped you..... good luck
