Hi I live in Dearborn Heights, MI. zip is 48125... I Have a car I believe is capable of doing over 160 MPH.. I have had it at 90ish on regular freeways but I don't want to go faster cause anything 25 mph and over is possible jail time for reckless driving since the speed limit is 70 you would be completely dumb to do over 95 and risk it... I'm wondering if anyone knows a spot like... a HUGE abandoned lot.. small road with no police on it ever lol.. I know about the autobahn but that is in germeny and I am not -shipping- vehicles etc to do something that will take 30 seconds lol.. some might say just do it on the freeway but I'm not risking jail time over it.. I got money for any sort of speeding ticket but that is where I draw the line. So if you know any spots within about 25-40 miles of Dearborn Heights Michigan zip code =48125 then please post and I'll give 5 stars thanks very much I'm not doing this just for fun me and someone made a $400 bet that it can't touch the 160 mph mark and I know for a fact it can do 170 stock I just need an area to do it at without the worry of police officers thanks!!! It's a 04 Mustang SVT -the manual trans one- if you know anything about these cars they are pretty cheap to start with compared to vettes and these.. vipers you speak of.. and there are hundreds of 0-160 runs of these 100% stock on youtube... and if I wanted this car to be a scream machine whiplash acceleration kind of car look up -Kenne Bell mustang cobra/svt- on youtube and look at the 0-160/170+ runs these do in a matter of seconds.. THESE are NOT your average 3.8l v6 auto trans woman driving mustangs here and it is a LOT cheaper then any -Viper- etc I've ever found there are no race tracks in my area I'm tempted to wait till 4 AM then go on a deserted road it would probably be my only choice here soon besides @160-170 the only thing you would have to -maybe- look for it a helicopter over you.. if that happens.. it don't matter what you have your screwed lol odds of that where I live are slim to none though crown vics around here top at 145 mph and slug after 120.. tempting lol.

You need to find a race track. But honestly, most local tracks won't have long enough straights to get a car to that speed. Also, what kind of car is it? Most cars have limiters on them that top out at 110-120mph. Unless you have a premium sports car, you'll never get anywhere near that. Even Corvettes, which are pretty tame as far as supercars go, top out at like 157mph. So unless you've got a built drag car, or a Viper or any kind of Italian, or British supercar, you're outta luck. EDIT: Those SVTs top out at a (limited) speed of 155mph. I am also willing to bet it would take a very, very long time to get there. If you did minor work to it as far as exhausts, and intakes go, remapped the ECU, and disabled the limiter, you might make it to 170, but it'd be hard on that engine. They simply aren't made to handle those kinds of RPMs, and you'd have a good chance of blowing your head, a rod, or destroying your pistons. If you spent more time and money, you could put in high compression pistons, have the crank welded, and put on a turbo/supercharger. But you'd be so far from stock by that point that the only thing it has in common with the SVT is the name. Hi, i would like to start by saying that i did NOT put the lights on the vehicle. its a 2001 ford crown victoria i had bought it used and the owner has grill lights and a interior lightbar on the front windsheild on the car. i know that each state and city is different for these laws. im wondering as long as i dont use the lights and always have them -off- if in the state of michigan can i drive my car without getting hassled from the authority's. i do NOT want to take the lights out cause it would be a pain they are drilled in the interior and would leave a mess and the grill lights are also -screw- mounted so that would leave 2 big holes in my grill that i dont want. i know in some states you cant even have any police lights on your car period. but in others i know for a fact you can have them but they cannot be used cause if they are turned on and you are caught its impersonating an officer or what ever the charges are. just wondering if i were to get stopped for something and they seen the lights if i would be ok since i did not intentionaly equip the lights myself also. thanks guys.

Well you could always apply for a social security card. If you have the rights to work legally then you have the rights to a social security card. It takes 14 days but in the meantime they will give you a document that says you applied and a letter for the DMV. If you don't have legal rights to work and no rights to social security card, then your goose is cooked. Most other states requires two pieces of ID... and how do you expect to get a drivers license and opperate a car when I don't hear you mention a permit. Did you hold a US license before? because if not you will need to ask MTA to start running buses your way for at least another 2 months. Good luck

Yup. I have found that either a gun (nasty, smelly things), or a nice tire iron, or baseball bat (my personal favorite), help get the other guy's perspective in good order. Try it once or twice. You have to get angry enough to not be afraid what the other guy's gonna do. After the first time, word gets around. People will step aside and leave you alone. I've been cussed and called a "mo-fo" on several occasions. I curse them back and tell them to "get you sum!" I'm a big NDN girl, so I guess I scared them. Nobody stepped up.

A quick way to calculate a mortgage in your head is taking the cost of $7 out of your pocket for every $1000 in the cost of the home.. so, if you are buying a home for $160,000, it would cost you an additional $1,120 a month to own a second home.
