How do I get to the Palace in Auburn Hills from Downtown Detroit by public transport?
Question:
I'm from Australia and am in Detroit for a few days. I have a ticket to the Pistons NBA game on Sunday April 9th at the Palace in Auburn Hills. The game starts at 1pm, and I want to know how to get there via public transport from Downtown Detroit. I have been to the SMART transit centre on Woodard Ave, and they advised me that there will be no 'Pistons express' bus for this game on Sunday. They said I could catch the 450 bus to Pontiac, and then I would have to walk over an hour, as the 756 bus does not run on Sundays. How else can I get there without a car? (BTW, I realise Detroit is the motor city, but surely there must be some way of getting to Auburn Hills by Bus on a Sunday)

Answer:
I don't think that you can. You'll probably have to take a cab. What you could do to save some money is take the 450 to Pontiac and take the cab from there, it would probably save you some money.

The Palace of Auburn Hills in Michigan - Parking?
Question:
Me and my friends are going to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra in December at the Palace of Auburn Hills, and we're getting dropped off and picked up by two different people. Does anyone know if there's a place where you can get dropped off without having to pay parking for the car? And if you do, how much is parking?

Answer:
Parking Charges Concert Parking $15.00 per car $30.00 per limo $60.00 per bus or RV Dropping off and Picking Up When dropping off a guest for a game, you may enter any drive and will be charged the parking fee. Please obtain a receipt. Drop your party off at the Comcast Pavilion or East Entrance. When exiting the property, present your receipt for a refund of your parking fee. When returning to pick up your party, enter the North entrance on Lapeer Road (next to the marquee sign). There is no charge to return to pick up your party. You should arrange to meet your party outside the Comcast Pavilion or East Entrance after the game. We suggest you arrive before the end of the 3rd quarter to avoid heavy outbound traffic. Limos and buses are not eligible for refunds. Refunds are only available for a short time. If you remain on the Palace property for an extended period of time you will not be refunded. All refunds are at our discretion. Detroit Airport to Auburn Hills?
Question:
What is the cheapest/easiest way to get to The Palace of Auburn Hills from the airport in Detroit (DTW)? Looking on coming up there for an event but wanted to avoid taking a taxi/rent a car.

Answer:
Agree with the Metro Cars recommendation, however, you may want to consider flying into Flint Bishop Airport as an alternative. It is every bit as close, and is a much easier drive than going thru the city of Detroit. AirTran offers very competitive fares to FNT. Best of luck.

Early morning parking NEAR the Palace of Auburn Hills.?
Question:
I'm going to a concert tomorrow, and plan on getting there extra early to get a good place in the crowd. can anyone tell me where i can go to park my car, within a walking distance of the Palace, before their own parking lot opens?

Answer:
i'd skip parking in favor of just taking the SMART bus direct to the Palace. they have connecting service from Detroit via Pontiac. Good Luck!

Of these colleges, which allow students to bring cars?
Question:
Please denote which years (freshman-senior) this policy applies to. The first person to do it for all of the colleges will immediately get 10 points. Auburn U Brown U U Chicago UConn Cornell U Duke U U Florida GWU UGA Harvard U JMU UMD College Park UMiami UNC Chapel Hill Northeastern U Northwestern U UPenn Princeton U U South Florida, Tampa Tufts U Vanderbilt U UVA College of WIlliam & Mary Yale U

Answer:
I didn't want to post earlier and drive away potential responders who would know more. The only one I know for sure is that UPenn only lets seniors bring cars. I believe Princeton, Harvard, brown, cornell,Princeton, and Yale all have similar policies (perhaps the ivy league has some sort of joint car policy?) I have freshman friends at brown harvard and yale and none of them have cars.

Question:

Answer:
Shopping, movies, manicures, makeovers, hair dye, truth or dare (lol) make a my space account together, go to a pet store, get a bunch of junk food and chow down, take crazy pictures of eachother,or you could each tell eachother a funny thing about yourself that you both have never told anyone before trust me sounds corny but my sis and I did it and we still laugh about it today we never told anyone else about it but we have lil inside jokes about it all the time. Oh here's a game me and my sis use to play we would blind fold one of us and then take things out of the fridge and make the other one taste it and try to guess what it was you would be surprised what possibilities this can open up!! lol have fun!!!

i need a question answered please.?
Question:
ok i live in eastpointe mi and i might be getting a job at the palace of auburn hills and my question is ,is there transportation that can get me back and forth from 10 mile in eastpointe to the palace. My job,if i get it will start at either at 6:00 am or at noon.So can a cab take me or metro car or are there smart bus routes i can take.

Answer:
http://maps.google.com/ I found the The Palace of Auburn Hills, 6 Championship Drive Auburn Hills, MI 48326 I found Eastpointe, MI, roughly Mile 9 at Gratiot; just north of Detroit. You ask about transportation to take you 10 miles.... uh.... it is closer to 34 miles. About 40 miles freeway if you have a car or motorcycle. It would take about $100 on a cab. On the bus it is a 2-3 hour trip. If you get a job in Auburn Hills, you can get an apartment in Auburn Hills for about $600 a month -- bike or walk.

I have a question about the Public Bus?
Question:
Ok, I've had a car since i was 16, so i have no idea how to use the public bus. can someone help me. I'm looking for a bus that will take me from Dearborn, MI 48120 to auburn hills, MI 48326 (the palace of auburn hills to be exact.) Where is the bus stop so i can get on board? Will the bus driver stop me in front of the palace ( i want to go watch the Lakers play the Pistons on Nov. 17) please help me. Most helpful comment will get Best Answer. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!

Answer:
There is no transit service that goes all the way to the Palace. The closest place you can get to on SMART is the corner of Walton Blvd and Opdyke Rd, about 1.5 miles from the Palace. To get there from Dearborn, take SMART route 200 east (inbound) to downtown Detroit, then SMART route 450 north (outbound) to Huron and Perry, then route 756 east to Opdyke and Walton, then walk north along MI-24. Not having been there, I don't know whether this walk is pleasant, or even possible.
