Hi on saturday morning i went into my back yard with my dog I live in revere massachusetts which is a city and there are no ponds on water sources for a few miles and there is a highway right behing me and when i went into my backyard there was a water turtle about 5 inches long walking in my fenched yard i own and know alot about turtle and it is a painted turtle becuase i have 2 of my own. I do not know how it got there and i have him right now but i do not know what is best i do not want to release him where i found him becuase of no water and no food and many car which equals death and i tried to feed him he wont really eat and he hates to swim all he does is bask i am confused and with cold weather here i dont want to just throw him into a lake or if some one released him he prob never even hibernated before so i dont know what to do please let me hear what you got to say thanks so much!!!
