Questions Related to quincy, massachusetts cars

Provided By Y! Answers

Tell me how to bite my tongue! Tell me how to keep loving my country (USA) after what I saw today?
Question:
I went to the ROXIES supermarket in QUINCY MASSACHUSETTS today and stood inline behind 4 IRAQ muslims with BERKA's covering their head. First they paid for all sorts of food with a MASSACHUSETTS free food WELFARE card - ANd they all had one... I don't like that, but not a problem.... Then, I bought my few items ( paid cash ) and walked out. The the KICKER!!!! They were parked right next to me in like a 2006 BMW 7 series... They were driving an $85,000 dollar car!!!!! Meanwhile, I work and pay my taxes and for my own food and drive an old NEON!!! WTF!!! HELP, I'm pissed!

Answer:
Only in America right?!? I think we should do away with the food stamps. I can't help you as far as you being ticked, maybe start writing your Representatives......next time you see them copy down their plate number, track them down and turn them in for welfare fraud.

I need to go to court for a red light violation?
Question:
I'm really nervous and scared about this. This is my first time ever got into a situation like this and going to court. Can anyone help me with some tips? Please I'll be very much appreciated!!!! I live in Boston, Massachusetts, and this happened in Quincy. I received it in mail yesterday, I have no idea how this works. It's not a ticket, on the envelope it says citation process something...and it's just sheet of paper with all my information and saying it's for red light. the office crossed out the place for fee amount, and he checked in the box says criminal offense i think. First of all, I don't understand why instead of a ticket I got that slip, I thought they just give me the ticket and ask me to pay the fines. And how should I prepare for the court? I thought about it and please let me know if there's anything wrong... So, I was driving my friend home around 8pm that night, and it's a four way traffic, I was on the left turn lane. I was driving a mini cooper and there were two big cars ( suv, van?)in front of me at the time, so I couldn't really see the signal. by the time I was making the left turn, the light turned yellow, I did hesitate for a second, because I usually stops for yellow lights, but at the time the head of the car was already passing the line, and I thought it's safe to just pass the yellow light and make the turn, instead of stopping there, because the up coming traffic might hit me accidentally. Do you think if I can make the case if this is my explanation? is it better to provide photographs of the intersection? And I remember when the police pulled me over, he told me that he was on the other side, so if his light turned green, my light must be red... Do you think that his position at the time could make a solid case? I'm really scared, and I know I need to dress nice and be respectful in court. I live in Boston, does anyone know what are the penalties for running red light in Boston? what are the fines? Do they suspend my license? And fighting red light ticket is it difficult in Massachusetts or Boston? Were there any successful cases or what's the rate of beating the tickets? Please, any help insights would be useful. Now I'm even scared to drive....

Answer:
First, don't worry so much, it's not the biggest deal in the world, I promise it will be painless. Unfortunately in my experience, whether you actually are guilty or not matters very little when fighting a traffic ticket. When you go in for the first time in front of a judge on a traffic ticket, you are just there to plead guilty or not, and to set a date for a trial, if you plea not guilty; To fight the ticket for real, takes much more effort than it's worth, and the court always takes the word of the cop over the civilian, so you're basically guaranteed to lose. But don't fret, the court doesn't want a trial either, it costs to much money(that's why they set this system up in this sham of a way). They will offer you a chance to plea down, with less( or no points) and a fine, and that's basically it, you have to take it. When you're in front of the judge, tell them you're story in the most likable way possible, and they may give you a lucky break(it does happen), but don't expect it. So really there's nothing to get your nerves up over, you already got the ticket, that's the hard part. Now just go in, and try your best to charm your fine down as low as possible.

I got a red light ticket, and I don't know what to do?

Answer:
Running a red light isn't a criminal offense, even if it was entirely intentional. It is a traffic violation, nothing more. Since it didn't give you a fine amount, it means you have to go to court. When you go, you will enter a plea of either guilty or not guilty. If you enter guilty, the judge will set the fine for the infraction and any license suspension if s/he deems it necessary. You should plead not guilty in my non-lawyerly-opinion. This way, you can argue your case and even if found guilty, get a lesser fine since it wasn't intentional. If you crossed while the light was yellow and have a way to successfully argue that, then you should be found not guilty since going through a yellow is not illegal. You stated that the cop was on the other side of the road and saw the whole thing. If this is true and he shows up to the court hearing, unfortunately the judge will take his word over yours. Fair? Not even the slightest bit since it would be one person against another with no evidence either direction - in which the defendant should get the benefit of the doubt. Without the cop, your chances of beating the ticket is very high since he is the only witness. If the cop shows up, you will almost certainly lose - but a good argument will lower your fine.

What happens when you call 911 to report a tailgater?
Question:
I was driving on the expressway south in Boston/Quincy area and was tailgated by this jerk who kept on flashing his high beams at me. So I called 911 who put me through to the state police barracks on the South Shore. I gave the woman, the make of the car, model, color, and the license plate. She said to stay away from him and they will take it from there. For anyone that does live in Massachusetts, what happens? I know they can run the plate and find out who the owner is. But will they get a ticket or something? For all you losers saying that I should not have called 911 and saying that they would take my word. All I can say is go F-yourselves! No it is not an unacceptable use of using 911. The State Police stated that it was right for me to report it. SO THERE!

Answer:
The police will come and join the party
