Where should I move when I'm older?
Question:
I live in New England, in a city in westerrrn Massachusetts, and it's really small, and really boring, the type of place where kids do the same thing every friday night, and its boringggg! When I graduate high school,I plan to move far awayyyyyy, like my older siblings did. :) But i dunno where that is? 1. I'm a really chill, laid back kinda girl. 2. Uhhhh, i like all seasons, (i think that's only because i've lived in New England all my life!) but maybe somewhere that's always warm wouldn't be bad, then i wouldn't get fat every winter! 3. ... I like water! I'd love to live behind a river, or near a beach somewhere. 4. I like walking places, I like nature too, 5. A place with a nice indie scene. I like hipsters, I like thrift stores, I like record stores :) 6. I want to ride my bike places. 7. A place where I can go to concerts in my own town/city! Where I live, that doesn't happen. We either go to Hartford, CT or the Six Flags in Agawam. :P 8. A place with a nice view. :) My parents have friends in northern MA and I love looking up at the mountains on the car rides. 9. A place I'll never be bored. 10. Could you also name a college in/near the place you suggest for me? (: I'll take any suggestions! Thanks!

Answer:
How about North Carolina? It's far enough South to be warmer than New England, but you may still get some snow in the winters. Especially in the mountains. So, yeah, they have mountains too, even a bit taller than New England. North Carolina also has great beaches. Of course they're not right next to each other, but that would be a lot to ask :-) If you were to move to the Triangle area, both are in easy reach for a weekend trip. Outside of the bigger cities, North Carolina is still very rural. Great nature, and an awesome place for bike rides. To not get bored, you should move to the main areas of the state, i.e. the Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill), or greater Charlotte. They have plenty of concerts there, as well as colleges. And if you're into hippies, you will love Chapel Hill :-) And it's not terribly far from MA. I think 2-3 hours by plane, or 15 hours by car if need be.
