Where is there free parking nearby the Glenmont Metro Station in Silver Spring, MD?
Question:
The closest and, therefore, most convenient metro station to my new home is Glenmont. It, however, cost $4.75/day to park there and although I am reimbursed by my employer for using public transportation, we cannot claim parking fees. There are nearby apartment complexes, fast food joints, and a shopping center, but I would hate to come back and find that my car has been towed!!

Answer:
Go to Wheaton it is only $4

Question:
I need my microwave fixed but I dont kno how to go about doing this. The door isnt closing, it doesnt have any internal roblems, bc i just bought it. Help! My wife and I are moving from Southern California to Silver Spring, MD. We just need our bed moved?
Question:
We knew we'd be moving so after we got married a few months back we decided to invest in one thing--a bed. It's a Queen. The rest of our stuff can fit in our cars. I can't seem to find anything less than $1000.00 that's at least reputable. It's just the bed you know. Does anyone know what we could do to get it out there? We are stuck

Answer:
Sell it and buy a new one in MD. It'll be easier and it may be cheaper in the long run.

Quickest way to Silver Spring, MD from Baltimore, MD with car and public trans with an arrival time of 8-9 am?
Question:
I am moving to the Baltimore area and need to commute to Washington, DC area on a daily basis soon. I have a car and don't mind driving 30 minutes to a station or whatever is best but I know I don't want to try to mess with parking or traffic at these hours in I -95 traffic to DC. I was trying to use the wmata.com website to make an itinerary but not sure if its correct. Thanks So if transit costs are paid by my employer and if I can drive I am better off living in Montgomery County? Its more expensive but probably is close when you bring in transportation costs and time if you live farther away. Whats the furthest out I should consider living? Any city names or more specifics would be appreciated. I am only going to be making 42k a year so the max I would want to spend on a place is probably 2k a month and I am married. I am pretty comfortable with a 45 minute commute and would go longer if it substantially saves me money. Does everyone use wmata to get schedules, does that cover all of md/dc?

Answer:
I strongly suggest you find a place closer to Silver Spring. There are many cheap apartments close by the area. Try looking for "Enclave" along New Hampshire Ave. Its pretty decent and affordable. Im not sure where in Silver Spring you work at, but there are also some apts in downtown silver spring.. obviously they'll be more expensive. look it up on apt postings zip are 20903 and 20904.. see if one fits you. Anyway, trekking through I-95 from B-more to Silver Spring is just crazy, even with transportation costs paid by your employer (traffic is insane, back-and-forth / Mon-Fri). If you want to go outside silver spring, try up north (ie. Towns: Laurel (lots of apartments), Rockville, Columbia) Try to avoid Prince George's if you can esp. with towns ending in "Heights" or "Park".. kinda rough neighborhood. But I know you'll find plenty of apt options in silver spring. Also, the red-line, which is the one that runs through silver spring, experiences a lot of delays nowadays due to major constructions... so expect heavy delays. Essentially, if you can move, move closer to Silver Spring.

How can I deal with a 25% premium hike by my car insurance company after a minor accident?
Question:
I had a minor accident with a lightly scratched bumper and the other car getting a little dent on the door. My premiums have suddenly gone up almost 25% from about $85 to $105!. I am shocked at this because my deductible is pretty high $500and the cost of the repairs was less than $2000 dollars. This is the first incident i have had...I need advise on my options, should i leave my insurance company and find another? Are there any recommendations? I live in silver spring, Md and work in washington dc. I am very disappointed, please advise. Thank you I reviewed the estimate and it cost less than 1100 to fix my car and less my deductible it was $566!! The other guys car's dent was so minor it could not possibly cost even 150 to fix, I think this is extreme and am quite shocked at the degree of the hike

Answer:
If your not happy with the service or the premium then by all means, shop around. Even though your loss was less than $2000, the insurance company still has the right to take that into consideration when factoring your premium. Thats called a loss threshold. Most states have a threshold of $750-$1000. That means any loss above that can be considered when they factor your premium. I know this because I'm an Insurance agent. I may sound like I'm on the company's side but I'm not. I don't agree with the increase if they have been a good customer with a GOOD driving history. I suggest that you call your Insurance company again and ask them to review the premium increase, provided you have a GOOD driving record and payment history. Hope this helps.
