Legal to drive a car without an inspection sticker?

Today I just bought a USED car from Gaithersburg, Maryland. As I was driving it back home (located in northern va), I noticed how there wasn't an inspection sticker on the front windshield. Among the many papers in the glovebox, there was one with the inspection certification paper from maryland which shows that the car is fine, however, there's no sticker. 1) Can I drive the car to and from work even without the sticker? 2) Because it's a just-bought car, how many days do I have to place a sticker on there? 3) Will I get fined if a police officer sees that I don't have a sticker on? 4) How do I prevent receiving a fine if this were to happen?

Seems like a lot of questions that can be only answered by Virginia vehicle code. Go on the web site, DMV site and look it up. Don't you have to have a current Virginia inspection sticker to GET registration and license plates? What do you have for plates? Is the Maryland plate still on it? If it is the police probably wont bother you for not having a Maryland sticker because it is not their jurisdiction. There must be a grace period to have out of state cars inspected and registered. Call the DMV and ask what it is.

Car windshield broken need help?

I have a Kia Rio 2001 and when I was driving on i-270, MD, my windshield got hit by a small piece of rock. When I looked at the damage it is really small mark. Two days ago I turned my car heater to melt the ice on my windshield and I heard a cracking noise. When the ice melted, I saw my windshield crack like 14 inches long. I talked to my car insurance and they told me I have to pay $500 (participation fee) for them to fix it. Also, my car insurance is Hartfort. I live in Gaithersburg 20879, Maryland. If you know a good windshield replacement somewhere near here, can you recommend it for me and how much will it cost me. Thank you in advance

All three assailants then fled the scene. Though seriously wounded, both recovered, the woman’s unborn baby also survived the shooting. Last month, Portocarrero was arrested by Loudoun County sheriff's deputies on unrelated charges. In custody, he admitted to being an MS-13 gang member, as well as to his role in the 2008 shooting. In recent years, Northern Virginia has been inundated with illegal alien, and the notoriously violent Salvadoran gang known as MS-13 has emerged as the area’s most prominent gang. The FBI's National Gang Task Force Director Robert Clifford, said: "The migrant moves and the gang follows. If you follow the construction trade, that is where a lot of these immigrants go." MS-13 set up shop in Northern Virginia during the 1990s, lured by the region's fast-growing Salvadoran population, later expanding into the Maryland suburbs of Langley Park and Gaithersburg. During 2004-2005, there were two machete attacks in the Northern Virginia area. An Alexandria teenager lost four fingers during a savage encounter with MS-13 members, while a Fairfax man also became a victim of an MS-13 machete attack. MS-13's are not just blending in w/ the construction trade. (Although you might see them around the construction sites, because probably their targets are other illegal hispanics that work in construction). MS-13's blend in with a lot of other environments too. 13's and the 18's are especially dangerous in Guatemala City. Try to look them up on Youtube. ALthough they are a violent crowd, they are VERY respected amongst their contemporaries.
