my car insurance just jumped up tremendously?
Question:
ok i was living in delaware. my car is registered there. i have a delaware drivers license. now i was staying with my girlfriend in her place and we recently just got a place in pa last month. however, all my mail still goes to my old delaware address. now, i have nationwide and i changed my address. thinking it wouldnt go up by that way. it went up from 1300 every 6 months to 4500 every 6 months. they changed my agent(it was based in elkton, md- 5 min from delaware). my agent is trying to get the policy back to elkton, maryland. however, i cannot afford this insurance. would i be able to change it back to delaware and just say that i decided not to move?

Answer:
Geez...that's ridiculous! I would surely be calling them and also getting quotes through other insurance carriers. If you do not want to change carriers, just call your insurance and tell them that your relationship in PA ended, and you moved back to Delaware. Also, if your still paying a car payment, the insurance company can find out where you live through the address your car loan has (My insurance busted me this way before). So, techincally you would want both addresses to match with whatever you decide to do (if by chance you do have a car payment).

How to stop a neighbor from filming you on Camera?
Question:
My Friend live in Apartment complex which is base off of her income. A real Nice Neighborhood I might add I been there once. However her Neighbor that lives directly across the parking lot from her has a home camera up in her upstairs window pointing out towards her townhouse. This neighbor claims it's for her to look at her car cause she suspect it being tamper with. My Friend States she'd been living there going on two years and never heard of anyone messing with cars out in the parking lot in front of their town homes. My Friend even call the police to say she feels like she is being spy on and the police said it's not against the law. Nor is in the law that prohibit this. Then the lady turn the camera towards another area and now other neighbors are complaining about her camera in the window. It is residential property that is funded under HUD. She even complain to the Housing Authority and they said it's nothing they can do cause she is not breaking the law. The police even told her she can put a camera up to point towards her. She is so outrage with this little town she moved in and she does not know many people. That can lead her in the right direction about this. With so many people doing weird things with the camera and internet she is scare. She lives in a small town call ELKTON, Maryland. Do anyone have any sound advice for this?? Please Help my friend in that little one light one shop town!!!!

Answer:
If your friend feels harassed or threatened by the neighbors behavior she can file for an injunction in court. It would help if she had the support of her other neighbors. Messing with the camera (intentionally trying to cause damage to it or the recording) would be considered a tort, or possibly a crime. She doesn't have a great chance of success, but this appears to be her last option other than moving.

Answer:
Buy some curtains that let light in and keep prying eyes out. Keep the blinds turned so no one can see in during the nighttimne. Or have her buy one of those 1,000,000 candlelight powered flood lights and shine it directly at the camera. The auto adjustment in the camera will set it so that all but the light is darkness. This will make the lady irate, but unless there is a law against flood lights I doubt she can do anything about it except remove the camera.

Any suggestions on how to prove that an old Toyota accident was caused by accelerator problems?
Question:
My mother and her cousin were traveling on I-95 in Elkton, Maryland a little more than two years ago. Her cousin was driving my parents' Camry when he suddenly lost control and went slamming into a guard rail. At the time, we all had conjecture about what might have happened. They knew a white van was nearby but didn't feel that they hit it. Maybe a tire blew? Her cousin kept saying he was being attentive and really didn't know what happened. The police took statements and created an accident report, I assume. I have told my mother how she can get that, assuming there is a report. My mother was hospitalized briefly and the car was totaled. Her cousin was not injured badly, but he has not driven a car since then because he was traumatized and began thinking that at 60 years old, maybe he shouldn't drive anymore. He lives in Brooklyn, so he can get by with driving only rarely. Any other suggestions on how to prove that sudden acceleration may have been the cause when you no longer have the vehicle? I'm assuming there's not much to get anymore other than the accident report.

Answer:
I suggest joining one of the 75 class action law suits against Toyota....
