Questions Related to bowie, maryland cars

Provided By Y! Answers

i am trying to find a newspaper article from feb 2006. most sites charge. Are there any sites that don't?
Question:
The details are this: a woman named Wanda Magan was in a car accident in Prince George's County Maryland. It was alcohol related. It occurred on Feb 10, 2006. She was 39 years old and lived on Morlock Lane-Bowie, Maryland. Is there anyone who could help me find any newspaper articles on this incident? From what I gathered there were feedback (letters to the editor) in reply to the original article.

Answer:
Yes, through your local library. Nowadays many libraries offer access to their online databases (for free!) so you should be able to access a newspaper database from your office or home with a library card. You can also always call or email the library for additional support. Good luck.

Windells Camp or High Cascade?
Question:
ok i really want to snowboard but i live in maryland and dont exactly have snow around my area as far as i know. ive never done it before and wanted to learn and stuff so i googled it and came across the high cascade one which looked promising, then i found windells and it looked even better and i thought id go there instead. so which do you think i should go to. which is better for a beginner? also, i wanted to learn how to skateboard, and it makes more sense to learn that since i live around an area more suited for skateboarding, so should i actually do snowboarding or skateboarding, and which camp is better for learning to skateboard? oh and which is cheaper cause i only looked at windells prices and i think it was like 1,500 or 1,700 or something around that for like each session and i wanted to stay for at least 4 out of 7 if not all 7 sessions, so...yea which is cheaper? there was something else....crap..oh yea which is closer to where i live cause im in bowie maryland and i google mapped or whatever the car distance between windelss and here..like 1 day and some hours so...i think i might just get a plane or something...so which is closer. gawd i think theres one more thing...no i guess not ok oh and if you went to either how was your experience? kk thanks okkk

Answer:
Windells Camp is great for beginners through experts....and after spending the whole day in their private snowboard park with your coach, you have access to the largest skateparks in the North West - (5 times the size on High Cascades) Skate Coaches are one site helping kids out too! Great Atmosphere and I reccommend WINDELLS CAMPS.

Should I go to court for Red-light ticket - Lanham, Maryland?
Question:
Hello! I received a red light violation ticket. Honestly, it was not my mistake that I had to skip the red light. I skipped the red light because a Hyundai cut me off when i was changing lanes and I didn't realize I skipped the red light until i was in the middle of the intersection. I didn't stop then because i didn't want to obstruct the traffic coming in from my right. Here are the following details of the event. Let me know if you think i should go to court or just pay the penalty. 1. I was in the middle lane of the road near the signal before the ford dealership (after taking right on lanham-severn road while taking exit to 495). 2. I was intending to go to left lane to be on the lane to take 495S. After going a 500ft, I signaled after checking that I was at least 100 - 400ft ahead from the black car in the left lane. There was green light at the next signal. 3. When I began to move to the left lane, the traffic behind me was slow. By the time I was in the middle of the lane, the black car in the left lane sped up very quickly. Immediately, my instant reaction was to get back to my lane on the right. 4. But immediately I realized I could have intruding the path of some other car. And check to see if I was in right spot or not. 5. Then I moved to left lane, after indicating, of course. 6. By the time I realized I was in the middle of the intersection I could clearly see the red light. I hit the brakes but instantly thought of oncoming traffic from the right and moved up quickly so as to not be an obstruction to the traffic. 7. Immediately I made a mental note of the black car which cut me off. (Black Hyundai Sonata - 3AG0524 - Orisman - Bowie of Hyundai) 8. The image taken by the traffic camera clearly shows the black hyundai ahead of me in my lane. But I don't know if they can see the tags after zooming in. Now, do u think I stand a chance at the court or you think i should just pay the fine?

Answer:
Always challenge it. Red light camera enforcement never considers the one-off conditions like yours. Would a policeman give you a ticket? No. The black car that sped up obviously did so to make it through the light. Beating the light is the outcome of the engineering failure called the dilemma zone. Whether indirectly or directly, you the victim of the a victim of the dilemma zone. BTW, all the red light camera tickets are illegal because of the engineering failure called the dilemma zone. Every DOT builds that failure into the intersection. To read about it, see below.

What do you think of my short story so far?
Question:
I have been working on it so hard and would really appreciate your comments. Thanks you! P.S. I am titling the story Goggles The Story: Goggles You’d think that after a while people would stop. Get it ya’ know? But they don’t. Strange as it may be they don’t. They just kind of, leave you alone. You’re not really friends, not even really enemies- but you still talk about one another; “Yeah, she’s just another dumb cheerleader” or “look at those glasses.” You can’t really help it or hate it even, till they start saying it to your face- and that’s where I come in. “Mallory! Finish unpacking and get down here!” “Ok, Mom!” We had just moved here from Maryland- the place where I grew up…and the place where Mom got divorced. So we packed up our stuff and moved down here- to the place where I now sit unpacking my stuff. “Mallory!” “Coming.” “This nice little girl is here to see you; she says her name is…” “Amanda” she answered, giving me that head to toe look that SCREAMS eww. “Hey” I said ever so slowly, “I’m Mallory.” “That’s…um…cute, well I have to go to practice uh see you at school Mallory.” As soon as the door shut, I was back upstairs unpacking. Clothes were being put away and photos were being hung up. Suddenly, in the mist of extra boxes, I saw them; the one thing that deprived me of a normal teenage life- my glasses. They were blue and had an angular shape. On the inside was a teal and black snake print and a thin green line which rested under the word, Fossil. I had packed them hoping they would broken by the time we finished our nearly five-hundred mile trip, but no, they did’t even have one scratch. After that everything just happened entirely to slowly. Dinner was dull and I went to bed early. The next morning when I woke up it was six AM. I got dressed in a black David Bowie t-shirt, some faded skinny jeans, blue converse high tops, a blue aeropostale hoodie and of course my glasses. I did nothing fancy to my hair nor did I wear any outrageous makeup. I just got some breakfast, hopped into my mom’s old car and drove to school. I had expected this high school to be like the ones I had seen in movies, where the popular girl always gets your parking spot or makes fun of your car. But it did’t happen like that, I got a spot close to the school, and the prius I drove wasn’t very bad, so I did’t attract to much attention.

Answer:
Hey :) To me it sounds like the really good beginning of your story! I'm wondering how the glasses have impacted her life. It's really descriptive, and the outfit she wears sounds cool. I might add something after "Coming." Like I walked down the hall to where my mother was calling. “This nice little girl is here to see you; she says her name is…” “Amanda” she answered, giving me that head to toe look that SCREAMS eww. “Hey” I said ever so slowly, “I’m Mallory.” “That’s…um…cute, well I have to go to practice uh see you at school Mallory.” she then turned and left abruptly. Other than that, it sounds interesting.
