Is there a way to get from Chicago Union Station to Alpine Valley Music Theater in Wisconsin via the Metra?
Question:
I am trying to make it to the DMB show tomorrow at the Alpine Valley Music Theater. A car is not an option so I was wondering if there was a way of getting there via the metra??

Answer:
car is the only option. Alpine valley is out in the country. No buses and it is aways out of milwaukee. Taxi could do it from Milwaukee but would cost a lot.

Where is a trolley station in Cairemont?
Question:
Is there a trolley station in Cairemont, San Diego? Where is it, and if there is not, whats the closest one to it? I live in Mission Valley and i dont have a car...

Answer:
The closest trolley station is the Linda Vista stop, down the hill from the University of San Diego. Take the 41 bus from Mission Valley instead. It goes up Genessee Ave. The trolley will expand north to UCSD and stop at the foot of Clairemont Drive next to SD Visitor's center, but that won't be available until years from now.

Anyone who is using car mp3 modulator in klang valley, malaysia, would u please tell me which frequency u use?
Question:
I've been using FM 88.7, but recently there is a new radio station came on that frequency. since then i couldnt find any new frequency. Thanks

Answer:
Adjust the channel setting if the signal clashes with radio signals (87.7, 87.9, 88.1, 88.3, 88.5, 88.7, 88.9MHz) or (106.7, 106.9, 107.1, 107.3, 107.5, 107.7, 107.9MHz). Press the “CH” key to select the desired preset channel without signal interference. (87.7-88.9MHz) That is the normal setting procedure. But varies from brand to brand.

Do I really need a car when I move to San Diego? I will be living in Fashion Valley, going to school downtown.?
Question:
I want to spend as little as possible while I'm in school. Do I really need a car? My apartment is right by a train station, and my school is, too. It all depends on where I work....Hopefully, somewhere downtown, or in the shopping area across the street from my apartment. Is a car really necessary?

Answer:
The weather is good, get a bicycle and go dual mode. If you are from a colder city with bad public transit, you will think San diego is great. Doing without a car for a young student saves a boat load of money.

Bike Station! I have the business plan. How do I get funded?
Question:
Plenty of bike riders in Silicon Valley. I just need to work on getting a loan. It would be great to have less cars on the road.

Answer:

A 1500 kg car traveling at 15 m/s runs out of gas while approaching the valley.PHYSICS HELP!?
Question:
A 1500 kg car traveling at 15 m/s suddenly runs out of gas while approaching the valley shown in the figure. FIGURE CAN BE SEEN IN LINK BELOW: http://session.masteringphysics.com/problemAsset/1070463/ 3/10.EX13.jpg What will be the car's speed as it coasts into the gas station on the other side of the valley? can you please explain how you did the problem?! thank you!

Answer:
Use the law of conservation of energy (assuming no friction losses on the road), (KE + PE) @ Point 1 = (KE + PE) @ Point 2 where KE = kinetic energy PE = potential energy Point 1 = starting point (on top of 10-m hill) Point 2 = location of gas station (on top of 15-m hill) (1/2)(m)(V1)^2 + mg(H1) = (1/2)(m)V2)^2 + mg(H2) where m = mass of the car = 1500 kg (given) V1 = speed of the car at Point 1 = 15 m/sec. (given) g = acceleration due to gravity = 9.8 m/sec^2 (constant) H1 = 10 m (given) V2 = speed of car at Point 2 H2 = 15 m (given) Since "m" appears on both sides of the equation, it will cancel out and the above simplifies to (after appropriate substitutions) (1/2)(15)^2 + 9.8(10) = (1/2)(V2)^2 + 9.8(15) Solving for V2, V2 = 11.27 m/sec. Hope this helps.

Anybody Live in the San Fernando Valley?
Question:
I was bored and scanning through FM radio in my car and am trying to find this station online but so far have found nothing online about it, i'm pretty sure its low power, you have to pull your antenna up high to receive it, the frequency is 87.5 FM there is no call letters on it, I tried looking up the FCC to see if there is anything on it but nothing, it only comes in the San Fernando Valley except North Hollywood. It plays standards as well as Gunsmoke on the radio. yeah old programs its weird, my friend said it doesn't exist, that I am just hearing things, but I hear it. It cannot be heard on walkmans or clock radios, they only go to 87.9, walkmans/mp3's, go to 87.5 FM but their antennas are smaller and cannot pick it up, well if you late owls are bored and can hear it say a call sign or something with radio on it please let me know. thanks

Answer:
Robert S Like you I cannot find any station by those call letters in San Fernando Valley. I am wondering if someone near you has low power unlicensed radio station. They find those once in a while. * Have a Good Day * ~ Don ~

( o _ 0 ) Woman Severely Beaten During Attempted Carjacking At Gas Station. Why did this have to happen?
Question:
Deputies: Woman Suffered Bruises, Cuts By FOX Carolina Staff POSTED: 4:00 pm EDT May 13, 2010 UPDATED: 4:17 pm EDT May 13, 2010 HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. -- A woman was severely beaten by a man who tried to steal her car after she had filled it was gas on Wednesday night, Henderson County deputies said. The attack happened at the Apple Valley Gas House on Chimney Rock Road. Deputies said that the 19-year-old woman was getting back in her car to leave when a man approached her. They said the man told the woman he needed her car and to scoot over. They said the pair struggled and the woman managed to escape with the keys. Investigators said that was when the man put on a pair of gloves, chased the woman down and beat her. The woman suffered bruises and cuts in the attack, deputies said. They said the woman ran to a nearby subdivision where she got help. She was taken to a local hospital, where she is recovering from non-life threatening injuries. Deputies said that it appears that the man was waiting to ambush someone at the gas station. Anyone with information about the attack was asked to call the Henderson County Sheriff's Office.

Answer:
She had cuts and bruises. It doesn't fit my description of "severely". I think the news story used hyperbole for effect. It didn't have to happen. Whoever did it was whacked or high on drugs. But we kind of knew that, since carjackings make no sense. ∠°)

Why are illegals setting cars on fire I don't understand what is to be gained by this ??
Question:
ADELANTO • For the second time in two weeks, an illegal alien was arrested on suspicion of arson, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s officials said Wednesday. Deputy Roosevelt Dutra of the Adelanto sheriff’s station found the two vehicles on fire in the driveway of a residence in the 14600 block of Agave Way around 2 a.m. Saturday. Dutra evacuated the home after the fire spread to the residence. He then used a garden hose to slow the fire until the San Bernardino County Fire Department arrived, sheriff’s officials said. No one was injured, according to authorities. Through an investigation, Dutra learned Noel Santiago, 23, was responsible for starting the fire, officials said. Santiago was arrested for possession of a destructive device and booked at the Victor Valley Jail. He is being held in lieu of $1 million bail, authorities said. Investigators later learned that Santiago is in the country illegally and Immigration and Naturalization Services had placed a hold on him, sheriff’s officials said. This is the second illegal immigrant in less than three weeks to be arrested after allegedly setting fire to a vehicle in Adelanto. In February, illegal alien Hector Escobar, 38, was arrested for setting a Ford Expedition on fire on Palmdale Road. According to Pamela Hoffman, spokeswoman for the Adelanto station, the two arrests have no connection. http://www.vvdailypress.com/news/setting_11173___art icle.html/adelanto_vehicles.html
