If a car company repos your car are they allowed to touch or even take personal possessions that are in it?
Question:
My husband was buying a car from a company called J.D Byrider in Henderson Kentucky and we missed a cpl of payments so they repoed our car but when my husband went to get our things which consisted of a stereo system, my purse and some money, the money was gone, they cant do that can they, wouldnt that be considered stealing, im thinking that the douche that repoed it took the money because the manager of the car lot said that he didnt know anything about it, we know that whoever did it smokes GPC cigarettes because there were butts in the ashtray and we never used it.

Answer:
The laws may vary from state to state, but here where I am it is pretty simple. Anything attached physically to the vehicle stays with the vehicle. Any personal property is the rightful possession of the person whose car was repossessed. In your situation, it would be impossible to prove what you had in the car when the repo man came and got it. If you COULD prove that you are missing personal property, it should be returned to you. good luck

Do these characters seem realistic?
Question:
Also, please mention if they're cliche or boring and be as brutally honest as you can. No sugar coating! I can take it. With that out of the way, there are two characters of mine I'd like to list: 1. John Henderson (age 24) Born and raised in Radcliff, Kentucky, John is an easygoing guy who just happens to be a great cook. After getting years of practice and encouragement in his parents' kitchen, he decided to make a career out of it by moving to Chicago and enrolling in a culinary program. Upon his arrival, he was in for a rude awakening when he found out the true cost of going to school and finding his own place, which forced him to put his education on the backburner and pick up a job at a diner to make ends meet. He loves adventure and exploring new things, which fuels his tendency to make impulsive decisions and rarely think of the long term consequences to his actions. He also seems to take certain things and people for granted when he's stressed out. 2. Cassandra Martinez (age 18): Cassandra grew up in a wealthy community in florida with her surgeon mother and politician father. Although she always had the finer things in life, she began to place less and less value on material things and vowed to live a life of simplicity; selling her car, most of her possessions, and soon hitch-hiking to get around (notably to chicago). After figuring out she could get by with so little, Cassandra developed a holier-than-thou attitude and felt it was in her place to force her morals on other people. She began to get obsessed with how superficial she thought everyone was, even to the point of attempting to shut down a charity organization because "It only teaches the poor that without money, they're nothing". While getting so wrapped up in materialism, the media, and how everyone was living their life the wrong way, she forgot that she had her own life to live. ********* So, tell me what you think! By the way, these characters aren't a couple- they're not even friends. They just happen to know each other. Thanks for the criticism, everyone! Most of you brought up very good points. I'll than likely tweak their backgrounds and make it so John isn't so boring and Cassandra doesn't have all of this life experience as an 18-year-old. More answers are certainly welcome.

Answer:
John is slightly cliche - no money for culinary school & gets a job at a diner. Kinda boring. Get him a different job that he might be good at without realizing it that could use similar skill set. Maybe he's a fantastic artist that can paint food - he envisions it and poof! lol idk really just a suggestion. Cassandra on the other hand is fantastic. <3 that character. She drew my interest immediately.
