Where in the Kansas City/Johnson County KS area is there a place where I can get a new wheel for my car?
Question:
I recently had a rim and a tire stolen off of my vehicle and it has just been a total nightmare trying to get new a new rim. I ordered one online but when I took it to walmart I was told it was too big, that it needed to be 14 inches instead of the 15 inches that I ordered. So now I have to send it back in order to get a refund and lord knows how long that will take. My car is a 2005 Saturn Ion 1. Does any one have any idea of where I can get one locally, so I don't have to wait any longer to drive my car. Anywhere but the hubcap and auto store on Shawnee Dr. They hung up on me while I was still talking. Thanks in advance.

Answer:
Check the yellow pages under auto salvage yards or junkyards. There are several in the Kc area. Some body will have one or can find one for you................&&&

Can my license be either suspended or revoked??
Question:
i am 17 about to be 18, i live in Shawnee Kansas. I was with a week one day when he asked me to drive his car, i did. We hit a pile of snow on the side of the road. The car spun out and hit a pole. There is only liability insurance on the car. The situation is that the father of my friend and i are in a dispute over the payment of the damage. i feel that i should pay half, since i was asked to drive and i was riding with the mans son. He feels i should pay for all of it. The question is, i am being told by the father that he is going to get my license suspended of revoked, is this possible, can my license be suspended because of our personal dispute over how much of the damages i should have to pay? my friend is 16. and i have been told that if it does go to small claims court they will make me pay like 20 dollars a month? alright. to answer some questions. i live with my grandparents and they also agree with me that i should be liable for half. there have been two estimates, one for 1500 and another for 3800. yes he trusted me. but i do not feel i am entirely liable for all of the damages. Also i can not manage to pay for all of them immediately as his father so wishes even if i felt i was liable. as far as it going to court, thats were i would like it to go. i feel that is a far more reasonable solution that to have an immature squabble threatening to remove my license,

Answer:
Personally, I think you should pay for the whole thing. Your friend trusted you with his car (and his life), and you failed that trust miserably. Luckily no one got hurt. I assume you're a decent driver, or he would not have asked you. So why do you think that his trust should be rewarded with paying for half of the cost of the car? Your friend TRUSTED you, and this is how you repay him? By saying that you should not have trusted me, and since you're stupid enough to do so, you should pay for half of it? Some logic you got there. As for getting your license suspended or revoked, while he personally can't do that, as there's no law or whatever that'll cover that, he may have connections with sheriff or whoever who can be keeping a close eye on you. Small claims court has an upper dollar limit depending on the state or county. Depending on your income and circumstances the judge may order you to pay monthly, or he may just order you to pay the whole thing. You may also see a mediator who's going to negotiate the whole thing before you go see a judge, if both sides will participate. If you go to court, I think you'll lose, unless you can prove that your friend was somehow interfering with your driving. You were the driver, you are responsible for the car. You accepted the keys and drove, which means you accepted responsibility for it. EDIT: So offer $2400, repaid over period of 1 year. You can make $200 a month, right?

20 years old, charged with DUI (professional answers only please)?
Question:
Okay this may be a little much but bare with me please: So i'm 20 years old and in July I was stopped in a mandatory DUI checkpoint. I drove from Paseo in Missouri to 75th Quivera in Shawnee Kansas (for those of you who aren't familiar with the kansas city area, they're about 30 minutes away from each other) with no problems, no cops pulling me over or anything. HONESTLY I WAS FINE! I had 1 26oz bud light lime and I thought (please correct me if i'm wrong) beer only stays in your system for about an hour? From the time I had the beer up until I left was about 45 minutes in itself then the 30 minutes it took me to drive that far. Well anyway I was stopped at the checkpoint only two minutes away from my destination and I was on the phone and everything at the time, just being my normal self. He asked for my license blah blah and then asked how much I had to drink. Well I panicked and I told him I had a beer. I was taken out of the car and asked to perform the sobriety tests. And I was given two breathalyzers. I passed the tests, but not the breathalyzers. I was over the limit to be a minor, but under the .08 limit, i supposedly blew a .074. I am honestly finding this hard to believe considering the amount I had to drink, and the time since I had drank it. Also I read online that the signs of .07-.09 are loss of coordination, slurring of words, etc. On my pink slip, he checked absolutely NONE of these boxes, he only checked that I had told him I consumed alcohol and my breathalyzer results. Then I had to have a friend pick me up from the checkpoint and park my car. Now My question is, is any of this arguable in court? What are my chances of possibly beating this case? And is there any helpful advice that anyone can give me? THANK YOU! I don't know if this counts for anything but I also read that the breathalyzer uses a standard ratio of 2100:1 and assumes you're the "average person" well i'm well below the average ratio i'm 5'4" and about 102 lbs. so could this mean anything? I do have an attorney and they're telling me otherwise, that there's stuff to argue..so I dunno. Im just gonna go with the flow and do what seems best. Also I didn't know I had a choice to take the breathalyzer. I was trying to argue how could i be .074 WITH NO SYMPTOMS. especially since im so small i should show signs. also i would like to meet the person who is trashed off one beer. also i would like to meet the person who is trashed off one beer. well they want to give me a diversion...you guys are acting like they're trying to throw me in the slammer! JEEZE

Answer:
There is nothing that you can present in court that wil help you; since the legal drinking age is 21. REgardless of what your B.A.C., is there is no reason for you to legally drink, so you really don't have a valid legal defense. Regardless of whether you were showing syptoms of intoxication is irrelevant, at the end of the day, your B.A.C. was over the limit for someone under 21. As for how long alcohol stays in your body and how it affects people varies on any number of factors ranging from body weight, tolerance level, etc... in short it effects evetyone differently.
