First of all I would strongly reccomend avoiding Greyhound if at all possible! Amtrak and Megabus both have better service and comfort than that of Greyhound for less cost! That being said, the bus system known as "The JO" provides service between Overland Park,KS to downtown KCMO. Once in KCMO the Metro route "11 Troost" can take you to the Greyhound Station. But seriously, Megabus is way better!!! Amtrak Too!

Reliable cars under 3,000 dollars?

Does anyone know of reliable cars for under 3,000 dollars? I am a college student and can't afford anything more than 3,000 (which sucks). The area preferably is Overland Park, KS. Another problem with this area is you need a car in order to have a job. There are no public transportation stops around the area I live in. It would probably be an 1HR walk to one. So currently I don't have a job. It will be a tight budget. But I am hoping becoming a CNA will help me get a job and start earning a good paycheck. I wish I could use my mom's car. However, she needs the car to get to work. Just wanted to say thanks for your help :)

People will say Hondas and Toyotas, but the truth is that in that price range you will probably get the most for your money from a 1990s GM car. Look for a sedan with the 3.1 or 3.8 liter V6 engine, like Chevy Luminas, Buick Regals, Centurys, and Lesabres, Pontiac Grand Prixes, Oldsmobile Cieras and 88s, etc. I bought my first car for $1000 in perfect running condition 3 years ago and it's been great; it will last me as long as I need it to. It's a 1996 Oldsmobile Ciera with the 3.1 liter V6. Hondas and Toyotas are good cars, but I would have had to pay thousands more for a comparable Accord or Camry (which, I like to point out, were in the same class but got lower mpgs and had lower safety ratings). The Accords and Camrys look better but the right American cars can be just as reliable for less money. 1990s GM V6 cars are also pretty much the easiest to find parts for, and I say this out of experience and not speculation. Long story short someone vandalized my car. Farmers has requested a recorded statement. I asked the adjuster if I could have a copy and he told me to get a court order so I was wondering if there is some type os statute in place where I can force them to give me a copy of it? A way to force it? Court order. Many insurance companies don't mind giving you a copy of your own statement. And, since the statement is probably going to be done by phone, there is no reason why you can't go to Radio Shack and purchase a mini tape recorder and the adaptor to put on your phone. Just make your own recording when you give the statement. That's the easy way to handle it.
