What are some sites in interest in between Olathe Kansas to Orlando Florida?
Question:
Me, and my family are planning on going on a road trip to Orlando Florida from Olathe, Kansas. We'd like to know a few sites of interest so we don't get tired of being in the car. Please share?

Answer:
St. Augustine, FL. It's on the Ocean, so it's a little out of your way....but not too far from Orlando. Anyways, once you get into Old St. Augustine (the Historical District) you'll see why it's the oldest city in the country. Wonderfully beautiful! Lots of shops/boutiques/restaurants..etc. You can also tour a ghost house, ride a horse-drawn carriage, see street performers and artists.. A few mins away from the historic district is an Alligator Farm.. You even get to pet an albino baby gator! (among others.) Great day-long event. forgot to mention the fort...lol duh!

Free car that runs in Olathe,Kansas area?
Question:
Elderly Lady's old car broke ,cant be fixed (no money) .She needs a car that runs to get to church,Doctors etc.Can you help?

Answer:
Sure! Just guide her to one of many transport services for Seniors and they will gladly take her to appointments, the Grocery Store, etc.. and all for much less than the price of gasoline. I'm sure the Pastor at her Church will get her a ride to and from Sunday Services and Bible Study. By sending her old junk car to the Salvage yard, she can get $200 or $300 for it which will go a long ways in her budget!

How Much Would A Rental Car Be?
Question:
In A few months i'll be having to take a rental car from Mississppi, to kansas. maybe only need it most at 3 or 4 days. i'm curious does anyone know how much or about how much it would cost to have a rental car for 3 or 4 days and from Brandon, Mississippi. to olathe kansas. and back to brandon, mississippi? i just need a rough figure at least. someone please help me cause i really need to know and all websites require to sign up and stuff first

Answer:
I don't know where you have been looking but you don't need to sign up for anything. Just select where you want to rent and for how long. If you're under 21 you can't rent a car from any of the major rental companies except Avis and Enterprise. If you're under 25 Avis is the only one that will rent to you without an extra fee. Enterprise will rent for an extra fee. It will be about $150 for the basic rental and another $150 to get full insurance coverage, total $300. If you don't have full coverage on your personal car you would be well advised to take their full coverage. Even a minor accident and you could end up having to pay thousands out of pocket. Under 21 you will need to look for a smaller local company. There might be one that will rent to you but I doubt it.

desperately need a car?
Question:
NBC news had a short news story on tonight ( Nov 13 2010) on a man living in Olathe, Kansas, who helps poor people by getting them cars. I am a single woman, no family, 68 yrs old, living outside my city limits. No bus or affordable taxi service out here. My only income is from SS Disability payments. While I greatly appreciate this help, it is not enough to live on. I could find odd jobs I could handle if I could get into town. This news blurb sounds so wonderful, I have to look into it. However, I couldn't get a pen & pad in time to write down the website or the man's name. His name may have been ---Franz---- and he was in Olathe, KS. I've tried looking up any web site name I can think of relating to the subject, the town, or what I think was his name. No success. Did anybody else out there see this ? Could you help me with the contact name or address ? I would certainly appreciate it. Thanks. Jacki

Help me fight this ticket!?
Question:
Yesterday it was raining, not too hard might I add and I was driving home. I was getting ready to turn left as was the car in front of me. The car in front of me starts to go to a gradual stop because the car in front of it had stopped. Seeing this I also put on my brakes, well that was when I hydroplaned. I continued to hydroplane for a good 8 seconds before I rear ended the car in front of me. Well we exchanged info and then an officer showed up to file a police report on the accident. After typing his report the officer ticketed me with a $125 ticket for following too closely. Well I believe I might have a chance too fight this because the officer assured me that had I not been following so close I would have had enough time to stop even though I hydroplaned, along with that he assured me I would have had the choice to swerve into a different lane. Well the lane to my right was a steady string of traffic and had I swerved over there I would have taken out about 2 to 3 cars easily. If I swerved to the left I would have hit a light pole, putting myself at risk for more injury. So my question is how do you think I should fight this ticket? If not fight it what should I do? What options do I have? P.S This is all in the state of Kansas. Olathe if that matters.

Answer:
Your supposed to drive accordingly to weather conditions. If its snowy and icy out you obviously give your self a lot of space and drive slowly right? same idea with rain and wet roads... hydroplaning happens at higher speeds, you had to have been moving pretty fast if you hydroplaned before stopping. I think I'd just pay the small fine and drive more cautiously personally... I know thats probably not what you wanted to hear but ill bet the judge is going to give you the same response.

i have a legal question about dating?
Question:
I have a friend who lives in Olathe Kansas, and her bf lives in Wichita. They met online..Now, she met him and his family and they all fell in love. She stayed with them for a month because her parents didnt like the bf at first and she wanted to prove to them she could do it. She is more tom boyish but she did everything they asked and all that. Her bf's dad started causing trouble with them for no reason trying to find reason to hate her. idk why. but she has MS in the early stages and she had to go to the hospital one night and they took her. her dad caused a bunch of trouble about it for the night and he convinced chris that she needed to go home cuz she was just bringing too much trouble and splitting their family apart cuz he needed his son to take care of him. Sabrina was mad for a while but then they worked it out. Everytime they had troubles and argued and had a small break up, it was his dad who was instigating it. it was all too hard to deal with because Chris' dad has a medical condition and uses all chris' paychecks and disability he gets for ADD to get around instead of being a dad and letting him save it to move out. Chris is 19 or 20 I forgot exactly. He wants to support himself and get out and see his gf but he cant...Then Chris' dad's gf was getting involved and calling sabrina or taking chris' phone to say "you stay away from chris or else..." they got engaged a few weeks ago and he came to Olathe Kansas to give her the ring personally. His dad has been shouting in the background of their convos ever since and tonight Chris was talking to my friend, his gf, Sabrina and she heard his dad shouting that she better back off and if they dont break up he will call the police on him and get him arrested for harrassing him. His dads gf is there to fakely whittness. sabrina said that if they do have to break up for this stuff that shes gonna throw the ring in the river and he told her to. Her parents dont hate him, they just dont like all this. But, they did say that its up to her that they cant stop her and that if Chris' dad pushes, its just gonna bring Chris and Sabrina that much closer together. He has stuck up to his dad once and told his dad that she is his gf and he loves her and they cant stop them. But, Chris' dad takes all his checks and isnt that illegal? and chris doesnt have a car without that money to use. He cant go anywhere cuz he lives with his dad. His dad thinks his son is there to serve him and baby him cuz he has a disability. but he can still do more than he leads on that he can do. Is there anything they can do? I told her that the police cant do anything because he never said that stuff to his dad and that sabrina, tho she is in Olathe Kansas and Chris is 3 hours away in Wichita, she can vouch. but she said that malina is too good. is there anything that can be done from a legal standpoint? sorry if this is in the wrong catagory. I just didnt know where else to put it. like what kind of loop holes? does anybody have any good advice?

Can someone help me write a poem on the book In Cold Blood?
Question:
Heres the summery: Herbert Clutter inspects his ranch on the morning of November 14, 1959. That same morning, on the other side of Kansas, Perry Smith meets up with Dick Hickock. While the Clutters go about their daily business, running errands and baking apple pies, Hickock and Smith are tuning their car. After a long drive, they pull up to the Clutter home with a shotgun and knife in hand. That morning, the bodies are discovered by Susan Kidwell and another of Nancy's friends. Initially, the police are baffled. Bobby Rupp is a suspect until he passes a lie detector test. Alvin Dewey, the KBI agent in charge of the investigation, thinks that the killer must be someone close to the family. Rumor sets the small town of Holcomb on fire. Hartman's Cafe is the center of numerous theories. Meanwhile, Perry and Dick have returned to Dick's hometown of Olathe. Dick passes some hot checks, and the two flee to Mexico. Perry has always dreamed of finding sunken treasure in Mexico. While the investigation in Kansas begins to methodically follow up dead end leads, Perry and Dick spend some time entertaining a rich German tourist before they run out of money in Mexico City. While packing to return to the states, Perry goes through his personal belongings and remembers his childhood. His mother and father rode the rodeo circuit until they had a falling out. Perry was passed from home to home as a child. Now, two of his three siblings have killed themselves. The investigation of the Clutter murders seems to be heading nowhere. However, a man in the Kansas state prison at Lansing, Floyd Wells, hears of the murder case. Sure that Dick Hickock is responsible, he begins to think of talking to the authorities. Meanwhile, Dick and Perry are hitchhiking in the American desert. They try to steal a car, but fail. By this time, Floyd has confessed, and Dewey and his team are beginning an elaborate manhunt. Before they are caught, Dick and Perry steal a car, return to Kansas City, pass more hot checks, and take up residence in Miami. They eventually backtrack to Las Vegas, where a policewoman recognizes their license plate number. Dick confesses after intense questioning, and Perry follows suit. The trial goes smoothly, and the two are condemned to death. During a five-year appeals process, Dick and Perry languish in Death Row. Perry tries to starve himself while Dick writes letters to various appeals organization. They are kept company by various appalling criminals. When death comes, Dick is awkward and Perry is remorseful.

Answer:
Keep it simple...it doesn't have to rhyme, but it can have a rhymed couplet at the end...something like... Dick and Perry were bored So they grabbed a shotgun And killed some time by ending The lives of innocent Clutter Stayed and played in Mexico Till the bodies had gone stone cold And their checks started to sizzle Back in the states their time had run out Floyd dropped a dime and the law was quick To put an end to sorry Perry and awkward Dick it isn't prize winning...but I hope it gives you some ideas
