I just bought a brand new car in Arizona and I live in Arkansas. They made me pay a 2% sales tax city fee.? Question: And then I have to got back to Arkansas to register the vehicle and have to pay them sales tax. I bought a car in Texas one time and they didn't charge me a city tax. Is it different in Phoenix Arizona? Or is this bogus. Maybe I should check withe the Arizona DMV. Thanks for any input Answer: Its MVD. And you pay sales tax to the jurisdiction where you bought it. Not where you will register it. Do you defer sales taxes on clothes until you get home? |

where would you like to live when you turn 18,arkansas,tennessee,or iowa or anywhere else? Question: It's very nice in Tennessee because you get to see Meriwether Lewis's monument.theres waterfalls and mountains and there really pretty the air is so fresh it doesn't stink,theres alot of Amish people there theres alot of things to visit in Tennessee you can go to the Ripeleys Believe It or Not stadim, you can go a see old fashion cars,Iowa it stinks in some part of it you can go to Iowa City which is very cool it has high buildings.Iowa has really really good restaraunts.There food is awesome.Chatnooga thats where all the stadiums and old fashion stuff is.Just to let you know that Tennessee is the best out of Arkansas,and Iowa. Arkansas is pretty ,and it has alot of waterfalls. Theres alot of mountains. I would want to either live in nashville Tennesee or Arkansas, but i live in Iowa. Do you think Arkansas should have a NBA team? Question: I think if Arkansas were to have a NBA team,there would be no doubt in my mind that they would be lacking in support. Take a look at the Razorbacks of the U of A,you can go as far south as Texarkana and almost be guaranteed to see someone with a red razorback flag or a razorback sticker on their car. The state of Arkansas is growing rapidily and our capital,Little Rock,is already as big as some of the cities who already have NBA teams. So in my opionion,we have all of the qualifications to have a NBA team,but what do you think? I think that teams like Memphis and Oklahoma city would make great rivals. Answer: That is probably one of the last places a NBA team would be. |

Do you know what City is Women's Paradise in the USA? Question: I actually know where it is ,its in (Russeville) Arkansas ,this area this region , there are more Men out here that Women, a large number of Women here are the players, they play with mens feelings, as there is so much opportunity for Women here its insane, its to be observed and watched closely ,even good looking Guys and studs are in many many times left single, because its to many of us men here, Russellville almost looks like the Ukraine where there lots of hot chicks models? and Men play with Women ,but we are the U S I m not gay, I m realistic ,here its the other way around, its the Women who have the last word and advantage over men, as we men try to get with Women here its a challenge for us Males here, Women here "can"afford very much to be very picky, by what I mean picky is Job security and cars,stocks ,houses , cash...they can acutally afford to be judgemental and rather choosive over who is better,what male is better that the other , financially ..and this is at a nightclub level,Bar ,cantina level , like one night stand level , the female species are of a high figure here , they represent alot more than regular Women ,than in other towns , it can be quiet difficult to understand or grasp this paragrah if you never been in Russellville AR , I m not making this up , if you are very attractive Woman , and want to vacation here or check it out, well you will be very very pleased , you will get hit on by all sorts of people here, if you walk into town you will automatically represent the female species, and many Men shall want you , some will have very good stable high paying jobs,other s will have regular 9-5 jobs, I have been researching this for four years , and it comes up the same as if it were a basic equation, it always never fails , never ever , even the ugly Women get hit on , yes ! its insane yes I m bragging about it , because I (wish) it were the opposite here,but can't change Russellville AR 72801, We Males here are very extremely friendly when it comes to pretty girls because there is a shortage of Women here, of coasre there more Women in College, but in town No! its way way more Males than females ,you go to the Bars or clubs you bet all your drinks are going to be paid for free by other Males in Russellville , catch is are you sexy ,beautiful , or even just regular can get you that, yes ! Sueing someone over a dog being hit by a car? Question: My mom lives outside the city limits of Eureka Springs Arkansas and her dog got out and hit by a car passing by..now they have contacted her telling her they are going to sue her because their bumper got messed up..sueing for the deductible they have to pay on their auto insurance..can they really sue her over that?? anyone know? Answer: If there are leash laws where she lives, then yes, your mother is responsible for the damage her dog did. NO it doesn't matter what happened to the dog, because (in the eyes of the law) your mom should have prevented the dog's escape. If there aren't any leash laws, consult a lawyer. Every county will be different, and you need to know what applies in your area. |

How Do I Fight a Bogus Traffic Ticket in Arkansas? Question: I live in a small city just outside of Little Rock, Arkansas. About a year ago, I filed a complaint against a local police officer. A local man (who is the landscaper for the police grounds) began screaming at my daughter and me in the parking lot of a local gas station after I asked him to move his vehicles (which had been blocking all of the gas pumps, while he chatted with this police officer). While this happened, the officer was watching and laughing. When I asked the officer to assist me, he refused and told me, "Get back in your car." I then asked for his name, and he refused to give it to me. So, I got his number off of his cruiser and filed a complaint against him. Two weeks ago, I notice a police cruiser pull up behing me as I left my subdivision. He followed me for a few blocks then pulled me over. It was the same officer. He was very rude and asked if I had "made a complete stop at the stop sign." I responded that I had, and he shouted at me, "NO YOU DIDN'T!" He wrote me a ticket. The citation has no official offense stated. There is a box at the bottom that says, "Other (offense) - Include Statute Number." Here, the officer only wrote "stop sign" with no statute number. Clearly, this is just an angry guy looking to get even with me. I intend to fight this...any thoughts on how to proceed? I would especially like to hear from law enforcement officers. My mom wants to move to Arkansas? Question: I'm completely scared of it, and I could NEVER leave my home state of Michigan! But she wants to move because of her family, and she thinks she can get a higher paying job there, especially in Little Rock. She says she went down there a while ago and it wasn't very nice. But she went down there recently, and she says it's RICH; people are driving Mercedes Benz, BMW, all of those richy cars. She also says the air and the grounds of the city are very clean. How do I convince her to not move? I really want to stay here and my friends are really sad and basically everyone in my city loves me. Well your "Favorite Line" is in fact true. Why would I lie you fagg? Why would I lie you queer? Answer: It is not rich. It is a city like any other. Some neighborhoods are nice, some are not. I have lived in Ark and Mich. Little Rock is much better than Detroit. Detroit is a cesspool. You would like the mild winters for sure. The people are redneck as are the people in Mich. Not much different other than the weather. Summers are long and blistering. You must be very young if you are afraid of a move. I can tell the economy is much better. Ark has always been a poor state and this recession has not hit them hard like it has Mich. Chicken farms and processing plants are in almost every little town. People are still eating chicken in this economy. |

What should I do, I don't want to go to jail?(long story)? Question: Okay, I just found out through the state of Tennessee that my driver's license is suspended byway of the state of Arkansas. In 2001 I got my very 1st ticket, that I completely forgot about, forgot to pay(I was 17, and stupid), for speeding, 43 in 35. Anyway, I forgot about it, until 2005 at about 3a.m., I was coming from a late night trip to McDonald's, I hit a bad bump going on an overpass, when my headlight goes out(it had been giving me problems, I usually just smack it, and it would come back on). I'm heading over the overpass, an Arkansas State Trooper, spots my car, turns around, pulls me over, arrests me for driving while suspended. Long story short, I was detained for 3 hours, got bail, blah, blah, paid my fines, and thought I was done. Nope! Last year, I was taking my sister somewhere, cop pulls me over for my sister not wearing a seat belt, 5 second out of the driveway. He informs me, that my drivers license is suspended...again, for this crap in 2005! Got a ticket, forgot about my court date, and moved back to Tennessee. Now I have an Arkansas state warrant for the stuff that happened in 2005($300+), and a local warrant that's $3K+! So now I cant get my license in Tennessee b/c of Arkansas! now, my city(Memphis) has these camera-radar things on top of some of the cop cars that read the license plate(FYI: you don't need a DL to get tags here), and I am so unlucky to have one of those cop get behind me, then I'm busted! I can't go to jail, I have 2 great jobs, and a nice apartment, and I know if I get caught then I'll loose my jobs, my apartment, and my car! I hope and pray I never get caught, and if i do I will arrested in Memphis, wait to see a judge, then extradited to Arkansas, to spend time in jail again. i don't have the $$$$ to pay the fines, nonetheless a lawyer, so what should I do? Answer: All you can do is pay the fine, it happened long ago but you never bothered to pay it. Just save a little money everday, it will add up sooner or later. Drive responsibly, police migjt catch you.if you dont do other wise and fine you even more. |
