Public transport from philly to new castle county, DE?
Question:
I'm looking to get from Philadelphia to Townsend, Delaware, and I don't have access to a car. I have a feeling that Townsend (being a small town) wouldn't have any stops inside the town itself, but it is located within New Castle County. Is there any bus or train from philly that would take me relatively close to that area? (Preferably within a 30 minute drive from Townsend, if someone were to pick me up)

Answer:
Take the SEPTA R2 to Wilmington. There take DART (Delaware's transit system) bus 45 or 301 to the Odessa Park and Ride. From there, it's about 5 miles to Townsend. DART 301 Schedule (includes Route 45) http://www.dartfirststate.com/information/routes/pdfs/summer /rt301.pdf SEPTA R2 schedule http://www.septa.org/schedules/rail/pdf/nwk.pdf

I Live in New Castle PA?
Question:
and i want a remote car starter installed. Is there anyone that knows of any Good place to get this done around New Castle or close to it?

Answer:
You are about 350 miles from Philly. Chances are that no one here will be able to help you. I did a quick search for auto service in the New Castle area and did not see anything that appealed to me, but if you know of a Pep Boys, I would think that they would do it for you. Either that, or you could take it to a service department of a dealership that sells the type of car you drive. You might also post this question in the Cleveland, Ohio section. You are a lot closer to Cleveland than Philly and someone who answers there might have an idea.

Question:
I saw the commercial played during the new episode of Castle on ABC. The commercial had this guy simply driving as light waves go through and past the car. The song went something like "All systems are go--it's not that serious--Countdown starts now," and then the countdown begins.

Question about the new Texas Castle Doctrine Law signed into effect.?
Question:
This law allows one to defend him/herself in their home, car or place of business by anyone committing an unlawful crime in their place of residency, in their car or work. Does this law also protect owners of their dog who attacks perpetrators as well?

Answer:
This law doesn't apply. Your dog can attack an intruder with no problem, but they had to be on your property, and the attack had to be provoked (i.e. you can't just turn him loose on someone unless you are sure you are about to be attacked yourself). If you think this law means you can take your dog in a truck and sic them on people, you're wrong, and you may be dead wrong if that person happens to be carrying.

What do you think about congresses new law?
Question:
There are two new laws trying to be passed for our great nation. One is legalizing prostitution. I love hoes, they make me happy, and would make any straight guy feel like the king of the castle. It would help boost our economy greatly as they could tax the brothels. Secondly they are thinking about banning women drivers. Women drivers are terrible, crashing every single car they have. They need to stay off the road for us men so we can drive the way we want to, LIKE BA'S. SO here, people, help me debate, this is a good question

Answer:
sounds like troll to me.... While congress might pass a law legalizing prostitution, it would have to be equal opportunity, which would mean for every female prostitute there would need to be a male prostitute... as women who are paying for sex would only except equipment of a certain size, and most men couldn't measure up, it would end the brothel business.... As for women drivers, most congressmen are men, and most are married, and their wives would never allow them to pass such legislation.....

Why does it take 20 minutes to get an order filled at White Castle?
Question:
Not sure if anyone else has experienced this but I have to ask. I live in suburban Detroit but have lived IN Detroit and within spitting distance of the city my entire life and no matter what White Castle it is nor what time I go, I rarely (1 in 10) get my order in under 20 minutes. This includes locations on Woodward in the New Center Area, Woodward just North of 8 mile, Woodward and 13 mile, S. of Big Beaver on John R, Telegraph at 9 mile, 13 mile and Van Dyke....the list goes on. This counts both drive-thru and walk-up although wait time tends to be much greater in the drive-thru. And length of line is also not a factor, for instance last night I was in line at 1:04am and I received my food at 1:36am, there were two cars ahead of me. In that time, we counted more than 5 cars leave and at least 3 drive around the building complaining about the wait (wasn't the first time at this Castle and common at the others).

Answer:
I can't imagine why anyone would wait twenty minutes, for whatever is served at White Castle. I have heard you either love it or hate it. My opinion is of the latter. The food is seriously not considered food is it? Maybe they get so surprised that someone actually stopped and ordered something from the menu, caught them off-guard and it took them a while to recooperate. lol. I suspect poor management. Have you ever seen the conditions those people have to work in. Do the people look like they are sanitary? I stopped at the one in Kokomo, IN. I walked out. The place did not have a.c. The workers looked sweaty, it made me gag to think they were actually allowed to prepare items for consumption by humans. Not to mention the grill looked filthy. Their workspace was close to non-existent. Yuck!!!!

The Castle law in Texas. I've heard that under the castle law you can legally carry a pistol in your car?
Question:
I know in TX. to have a pistol inside your car where it could be considered to be on or about your person in most cases is against the law under the unlawful carry law. Unless you have a CWP licenses. How ever though I was told that under the new castle law that your vehicle is considered an extension of your home and it's now legal to do so. Is this true ? and if so it would be nice if someone could post some links I could go to to verify this as I'm sure there will be some buts and ifs, Such as you must own a home or the vehicle your in must be in your name. I'm assuming you mean a drivers license ?

Answer:
You do not need a concealed carry license to have a weapon in your vehicle, as long as it is not in plain view. If you are not engaged in criminal activity and the weapon is not in view, you are not in violation of the law. You do not necessarily have to own the vehicle. Note, that (a)(2) states,"inside of or directly en route to a motor vehicle that is owned by the person or under the person's control" If you rent a vehicle or legally borrow a friend's vehicle and you are operating it, then it is a vehicle under your control. Here is exactly what it says in article 46.02 of the Penal Code: Sec. 46.02. UNLAWFUL CARRYING WEAPONS. (a) A person commits an offense if the person intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly carries on or about his or her person a handgun, illegal knife, or club if the person is not: (1) on the person's own premises or premises under the person's control; or (2) inside of or directly en route to a motor vehicle that is owned by the person or under the person's control. (a-1) A person commits an offense if the person intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly carries on or about his or her person a handgun in a motor vehicle that is owned by the person or under the person's control at any time in which: (1) the handgun is in plain view; or (2) the person is: (A) engaged in criminal activity, other than a Class C misdemeanor that is a violation of a law or ordinance regulating traffic; (B) prohibited by law from possessing a firearm; or (C) a member of a criminal street gang, as defined by Section 71.01.

Who do I complain to for bad treatment at the Delaware DMV?
Question:
I went to the New Castle location of the Delaware DMV to turn in tags for a friend who has sold a car of his. The female clerk at the help desk was not only unprofessional but nasty too. Who in the Delaware DMV does someone like myself talk to if he or she has a grievance?

Answer:
Call 800-652-5600 and ask for Bob King, Gary Laing, or Dawn Hopkins. They are all community relations officers with the Delaware Dept of Transportation.
