How much will this speeding ticket cost?
Question:
I just got a ticket for doing 65 in a 40 zone. I'm almost 18, and I've never gotten a ticket before. I live in Marion County, Indianapolis, Indiana. Oh, and I am eligible for this program that doesn't notify your insurance or go against your points on your driver's license. So that's good. I usually don't speed, but I was in a pack of cars just flowing with traffic. I was unlucky enough to be picked out of the crowd. Lucky me. 56th street and Arlington is where I got pulled over. Go there sometime and see what I mean. People go fast there.

Answer:
I'd guess Sheriff Buford T. Justice lifted about $200 from your wallet.

Answer:
Yes he is still alive. They shot at him because suspect was reported by local police officers "as armed and dangerous". When the regular police can't handle situations/people like that and feel overwhelmed, they call SWAT. Most of the time when SWAT is called alot of bullets fly and people get killed.

What will happen to my 19 year old sister who was caught shoplifting?
Question:
My sister was caught shoplifting at Macy's today, and I'm worried what is going to happen to her. The value of the items was about $15, and she has no prior convictions. Also, after she was taken into custody, the security people called the police, and the police officer took her keys and searched her car because he thought there might be more stolen items in there. There were not any stolen items, but he did find a small amount of marijuana. I am not sure if she consented to a search of her car, but assuming she didn't, was the search legal? Could she possibly get into a pretrial diversion program? If not, will this shoplifting charge affect her job prospects later in life? If this helps, we live in Indiana and the case is being handled by the Marion County P.D. (Any help/input is greatly appreciated, but please don't just say something along the lines of "she should rot in prison, scum of the earth!" I know what she did was very dumb, and I'm not happy with her either. I'm just trying to get some idea of what my sister's options are, so you can keep the blowhard lecturing to yourself.)

Answer:
A caution? Maybe a small fine. But not sure about the marijuana.

Answer:
In American government positions you are trained to always shoot for center mass (larger part of the human body) when in an attack situation. Shooting at tires won't always stop a vehicle hurtling towards you. The reason center mass is important is because in a situation like this trying to fire at smaller distant objects is much harder and by the time you are trained on a good shot you could be already dead yourself. In this case the drug dealer was not killed only shot in the arm.

Answer:
1.) he was able to continue operation of the vehicle, so i assume that at worst he was wounded. 2.) in america, driving a vehicle in that manner towards a police officer is no diffrent than charging with a knife or gun. they returned fire in self defense.
