What are the means of transportation open between Terra Haute, Indiana and Bloomington, Indiana?
Question:
I live in Bloomington and would like to go to Terra Haute, but I do not own a car. I'm open to whatever can get me there: Buses, trains, whatever. Links to these services would be helpful. Thanks so much to whomever can help.

Answer:
Trains: Nope, there are none. Buses: Like the other person said, you could take the IU airport shuttle and then the ISU airport shuttle. Rental car: If you have a license and are over 18, you can rent a car. If you're just going for a day or a weekend, this will be faster and cheaper than the bus. Most places require you to be 25 but there are a few places in Bloomington where you only have to be 18. I think there's a Budget on Walnut like that. Bicycle!? It's only 60 miles. One day I just got up and rode 40 miles for fun, it's not *that* difficult. I'd say it would take you 5 hours or so to bike there. Bum a ride: You know there are tons of IU students with ISU boyfriends/girlfriends. I bet if you put a note on a bulletin board (like, the one in the union) you could find a ride. Chip in $5 for gas and you're good to go.

How much gas does it take to drive to Bloomington, Indiana from Evansville?
Question:
it's a small car that takes regular gas

Answer:
Mapquest the distance to see how many miles there are total between the two cities. Let's use 100 as an example. Then, see how many miles per gallon your car has. Let's pretend it's 20. You take the miles driven (100) divided by the mpg (20), and that's 5 gallons. In Southern California, it's about 3 dollars/gallon. So 5 gallons times 3 dollars a gallon is $15 in gas

Indianapolis to Indiana University @ Bloomington?
Question:
Hi, I have to do a campus visit at the Indiana University. I'm from New York, and I have never been to Indiana. Is there any public transportation to go to IU? Or is it better for me to rent a car with a GPS to go there? Going there in two weeks :(

Answer:
Rent a car and take your GPS and look at all the scenery as you drive there If you are coming form Indy it isn't that far of a drive. Depending on what route you take 37 or 65 even but there is not much in the way of a bus route except Greyhound and if you like buses then there you go. But what a drive and how much fun you can have if you have a car to take you to Nashville IN close to Bloomington, Brown County State park is gorgeous too. You can find a lot of interesting places in and around brown county and bloomington so you can get to know what is going on as well. Good Luck and have a safe trip
