Anyone know of any cheap Used Cars in the Elgin, IL. Area ?
Question:
I'm looking for a used compact or sedan car not over $1500 for my wife. The area includes, Elgin, Dundee, Hanover Park, Schaumburg, Steamwood, and Carpentersville Illinois.

Answer:
The best place to find vehicles in your area will be through local classified ads or web sites like Autotrader.com that allow you to search by criteria that includes price and zip code. However, at the $1,500 price range, you're not likely to find many vehicles offered by people who are willing to invest a whole lot in advertising. You may also try local bulletin board ads that often exist at supermarkets, churches, and other public gathering places. The biggest challenge you face is lack of availability. "Cash for clunkers" literally destroyed about 1/2 million vehicles in the exact price range you're looking for, and given that "clunker" vehicles had to be insured and registered for the previous 12 months, it meant the most serviceable were among those destroyed. The result is a severely limited supply amid unprecedented demand which means higher-than-ever relative prices and lower-than-ever value for money; and at $1,500, that doesn't leave you with very much. In any event, Yahoo Answers really isn't the best kind of forum for this information. Best of luck. I hope this helps.

Inexpensive Commercial vehicle parking-- Dupage county?
Question:
I have a 16ft box truck that i use to make deliveries during the day, at night i need somewhere to park it. i am currently paying 40$ a month to park it on a gated lot in villla park. This would be fine except my warehouse is in South elgin, my delivery route is in bloomingdale, carol Stream, glendale hts area. ideally i wold like to find a place between South Elgin and Roselle (which is where i currently live). It doesnt have to be gated. I just need to be able to drive my car there in the morning, swap my car for the truck and swap them back at the end of the day, I must leave the truck there overnight almost everyday of the week, outdoors without a canopy or any other sort of protection is fine. If anyone knows anyone who owns a vacant lot, or unused land around hanover park, bartlett, roselle area please let me know

Answer:
As I don't live in the Dupage County area I can only offer suggestions. It might be possible to find a private lot by placing an ad in the throw-away advertiser in your area or to inquire at some of the storage facilities that often provide RV parking spots as an adjunct to their storage lockers. Good luck!

Do you think a parent can truly 'forget' about a child they left in their car?
Question:
Story: Child Left In Car Dies The investigation continues in the death of a 3-year-old girl left alone inside a hot car. Authorities tell us the girl was in cardiac arrest when she was found inside the car at Cool Spring Baptist Church Tuesday afternoon. The Hanover Sheriff's Department confirms the child died of hyperthermia after she was left inside a parent's car for several hours. The girl's father is a minister at the church. On Wednesday, the church went public about the tragedy. 'Kristin Gote, age 3, daughter of Doug Grote, our minister of recreation, died in our church parking lot,' said Cool Spring Baptist Church minister, Tony Ramirez. At this point, no charges have been filed.

Answer:
Some parents try to do too much and when the children are in the backseat they forget them. A father did that last year with his infant......he was taking the child to the babysitter which is what the mother usually did. Since this wasn't what he was used to doing he went right to work instead. He went into his office and after awhile he remembered.....I don't think the baby died though. He was charged with negligence.

What kind of ridiculous sentence is that? 2 years for maiming & seriously injuring a senior citizen, then flee?
Question:
An illegal immigrant who struck a Hanover woman with his vehicle then fled to Mexico will spend up to two years in prison after pleading guilty in York County court. Alejandro Aleman, 35, whose last known address was in the 100 block of Lincoln Way East in New Oxford, was charged after police said he struck 69-year-old Esther V. Rodgers in his 1993 Ford Mustang on Feb. 25 in the 400 block of Baltimore Street in Hanover. The crash left Rodgers with a broken right leg and skull fractures. She remained in a coma at York Hospital for several weeks. She moved from a rehabilitation facility to a nursing home on May 29. Rodgers' eldest son, Michael Rodgers, said then that his mother struggled with walking and memory, and she didn't remember her family members. Hanover Borough Police were unable to find Aleman after the crash and assumed he left the area. Witnesses at the scene told police the Mustang Aleman was driving had two occupants when it struck Rodgers. The car pulled over and paused before driving off. The Mustang was later found abandoned and stripped of its license plate at Littlestown Community Park. An affidavit filed along with Aleman's arrest warrant stated the vehicle and witness reports led police to identify Aleman and the passenger. Aleman was found in early May in Texas as he crossed the border back into the United States. On Thursday, Aleman pleaded guilty to accidents involving personal injury, failing to stop and render aid and operating a vehicle with insurance or a license. Aleman was sentenced to serve six to 23 months in York County Prison and received credit for time served because he was incarcerated on May 28. He is also responsible for paying $403 in related fines. There is also an immigration detainer against Aleman, meaning U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services seek custody of him before his release. Neither Rodgers nor her family members could be reached to comment on the proceedings. What kind of ridiculous sentence is that? 2 years for maiming and seriously injuring a senior citizen, then fleeing the country?http://ydr.inyork.com/ci_10590433

Answer:
This shows another side of illegal aliens. With over 30% of inmates in the US illegal aliens we don't have the room to hold low life ass wipes like this! Of course some pro-criminal people say we have American criminals so we should import all the criminals into the US! What the heck kind of logic is that? If we didn't have to house illegal alien criminals we could give American criminals longer sentences! Of course that goes against principle #1 of import more criminals! Those pro-criminal people want it both ways! Maybe that's the plan! Commit so many crimes that they just don't bother to lock up anyone!

Question:
The softball field at Pole Green Park in Mechanicsville was a favorite spot of 23 year old Casey Bohr."Always talking about softball, always talking about family, those were the two most important things in his life by far," said close friend of Bohr's Hunter Young. His life was taken Friday night when investigators say a drunk driver caused a deadly crash. His closest friends and fellow softball enthusiasts are organizing a fundraiser this weekend...a softball tournament. "He was respected and loved all the way around and this is going to be a great opportunity to remember him and to help his family," said Young. Friends say helping his family was something Bohr did almost daily. They say he worked hard so that help his parents financially. "To be 23 years old and to support his family in any way he can says a lot for his character," said Young. "It's always been his top priority when he got in a position when he could help his family that was the first thing he did," said Bohr's friend Matt Pierce. Friends say the fundraiser will help a least one of the family's burdens. They plan to donate a hundred percent of the proceeds from the tournament to them. And already they've seen an outpouring of those who want to take part. "We don't care if you can hit it out of the in-field or you can hit it 700 feet, it's about support and community outreach to help a family," said Pierce. Pierce and Young created a facebook page titled "In Memory of Casey Bohr", and here is the link: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/pages/In-Memory-of-Casey-Bohr /164436053592852 ------------------------------- Update: 11/27 Police initially reported that Feliciano Suarez was 39.
