how to get to the met museum in new york? Question: me and my friend have to go to the met for a class trip. how do u get there. which bus do we take, what subway . we don't want to take a car because its too much money for parking. we would like to go this Wednesday, the day before thanksgiving. and we live in Elmwood park nj Answer: The easiest way is to take New Jersey Transit, which has stations in Paterson and Clifton, which I believe are close to Elmwood Park. There's a train about once an hour, which takes about 50 minutes to get to Penn Station in New York. You'll have to change trains once, at Secaucus Junction. Once you get to Penn Station, you can take the subway to the Met. You'll start by taking the uptown 1, 2, or 3 train from beneath Penn Station to West 42nd Street/Times Square, where you'll get on the Shuttle train to Grand Central (just follow the signs). At Grand Central you'll take an uptown 4, 5, or 6 train to East 86 Street. From there, it's a 10 minute walk to the museum, which is on 5th Avenue at about East 82rd Street. Dog Lovers, Help me because the Police Won't! ? Question: Hi i am going to try to sum up all this drama for you and maybe someone can help me. I lived downstairs from a man who is 65, has 3 dogs and does not take care of them! One of the dogs has already bit my young son, and he was fined 75 dollars! He lets his dogs run wild all over the neighborhood, poop all over the place and leave them out in the freezing cold. One of his dogs has a huge tumor looking bump on her face and i am sure he has not taken her to the Vet. These dogs have attacked other dogs because there are NEVER leashed! They jump up on me all the time when i get home, and there have been nights where i have has to sit in my car for up to 20 mins because his pitbull has been roaming outside, and is very aggressive! I am concerned for myself and my son, and also the welfare of these dogs. he lets them run out into the street and he physically abuses them, i have people who have witnessed that other then myself! Please dont answer telling me to deal with it, and how putbulls are friendly, etc., i just want to know if there is anything that i can do to make this situation better. The Police here do absoulty nothing! I live in the suburb of Elmwood Park, illinois, thank you! Answer: I love animals, all animals, and dogs of any breed, I really do, but if I were you now would be the time where I would take drastic measures. If no one is willing to help you, arm yourself - a stick, pepper spray, bear mace(I recommend it), something, anything and when the dog is in your way or leads you to have fear don't hesitate to defend yourself. But also don't go crazy and start beating the dog or chasing it with whatever weapon you choose. If the police won't help you and animal control won't help you, call the media. Make the news understand your story, shoot some video of your own to show people what you have to put up with. Broadcast media like the news is pretty good at inciting action in situations like this. |

I want to go to a beauty school.... I have a couple questions!? Question: well i am in new jersey and i am 20 years old.... in january, i went to school for massage therapy. once i started, i was not interested AT ALL. especially the fact of learning the human body....not my thing!! it put me to sleep in class. LOL. In January 2009, i went to a community college but dropped my classes due to stress (working 40 hours a week as a waitress) and i didnt have a car so i would wake up too early i barely had time to do ANYTHING. i had to pay $2,000 ...and i am still waiting on what i owe this massage therapy school (the penalty letter..) i just dont want this to be the right choice. i cant afford for it not to be. i decided i was interested in being a makeup artist... i do my make up almost every day before work and i find so much interest in doing it. so i thought about going to school and getting paid for it! :) how much does is tuition for a beauty school, like for a makeup artist? ...in the new jersey area, clifton/elmwood park/garfield area... if you can please give me any advice, thank you! :) Answer: If you are researching beauty schools, have a look at beauty school adv they have great resources. |
