Aurora, Illinois!... ok, so I have a 1999 Nissan Maxima and I new something was amiss with it last week. It was making a different noise on start-up and running rough and sort of whining... Anyways, I didn't really know what was wrong and was hoping that it would last until I could get it home to my dad. Well, it doesn't look like that is a possibility. The break and battery light both came on today and tonight the lights on the dash seemed dimmer... anyway, I'm 99.999% sure this is my alternator and I think it needs to get fixed asap! I dont want to get ripped off... young, college female, see where this is going?!?!... anyway, I need a good mechanic to fix my car in Aurora, IL or close areas... Camping in Illinois help?

I'm trying to camping with some of my friends. We might have to take two cars if 8 people decide to come. But anyways, are htere any good camping sites that you've heard good things about that are like at most two hours away from Aurora,Illinois. We are also tight on money and the most we can afford it like twenty dollars a night for a camp site. Also, do you have to pay up front or can you make reservations easily online and then pay it when you get there?

Answer:
You will want a state park as you will be hard pressed to find a private owned campground for under $20 a night. Chain O Lakes state park is nice & less then 2 hours away. For a class A site it is $25 a night. This will give you the campsite with water, electric, dump-station and clean bathrooms with hot showers. A class B site is under $20 a night and will give you a more rustic site with outhouses. You can still walk/drive to the class A sections and use the bathrooms/showers since you are camping at the park (prolly better to pay the little more and get the class A site). There are no reservations needed, you just pay when you check in. At check in (if you want a class A site) they will ask if you want to stay in Honeysuckle or Fox Den. Tell them Fox Den as this was just added to the park and everything is new. If you go when it is not crowded, they will leave your ticket blank other then a "F" for Fox Den or an "H" for Honeysuckle, and you can pick any open site in that section. If it is crowded they will assign you a site. If you want to pay less, then you want Turner Lake South, which is only a 3 - 5 min walk from the bathrooms/showers at Fox Den. They take some reservations and do have a few cabins that can be rented (but they are more then the $20 a night).

No need to be nervous. Do you think the guy in front of you cares what you think when your following him? Your right there are a lot of cars but most of the time we can hardly go the speed limit. Your already use to going 65 on the 2 lane state highways so even if the volume of traffic is heavy & moving, the speed should be no problem as it's only 55. The Great Lakes area will not have a lot of traffic & Aurora will be about the same. Traffic is heaviest at the morning rush 6 A.M. to around 8 A.M. & again from about 4 P.M. to 6. You have GPS so what's the worst that can happen? You get off at the next exit. turn & get back on the highway. Just don't stop & ask for directions if you think the area doesn't look good. Get right back on the highway. You'll be fine.

All this is saying is that if you pay off the car before the terms of the contract, and the contract is written for less than a period of 61 months, they will refund the unused finance charge, after deducting a $25 finance fee. If the terms of the contract are for longer than 61 months, there is no service fee. Basically, when you finance the car, they assume they are getting X number of dollars over the life of the contract. If you pay it off early, they are getting as much money as they thought they were, and actually make less profit. Hence the rule of 7/8s and the service fee. Aurora huh? Used to work at Cat in Montgomery decades ago. Hope this helps clear this up.

Some guy found my keys but...what the hell is going on?

This dude who found my keys...(has house key on it in addition to car keys) walks into Blockbuster and brings them to the counter. The woman at the counter scans the Blockbuster card on the key chain. It comes up with my phone number, but it has been disconnected (A T T is a B, as soon as I considered switching to their services they went ahead and deactivated house phones). So anyways because the guy who found my keys wasn't able to reach me (the rightful owner), he wanted the keys back and left. The woman at the counter for some strange reason gave them back...(she claims the dude was like charismatic). I'm thinking this guy wants to ensure a reward for finding my keys. (all this dude is ensuring is me beating the shit of him...(if he has intentions of breaking into my house or demanding a reward). An intelligent person would leave the keys with Blockbuster.
