Should I take my car to college? Question: I am going to be a freshman in college, and I don't know if I will need my car or not. The parking permit is not that expensive, but don't think there's going to be enough parking space at the dorms. Realistically, how often do college students use their cars? I am not that much of an outgoing person anyways; I don't really party, none of my friends go to the same college, and I might only need to go to the store once in a while... so should I bring my car? If it helps, I am going to Idaho State University in Pocatello, ID. If you go there, can you tell me if you think a car is necessary or how the public transport is there? Thanks.
Answer:
you're almost never going to use it. that being said.. get it.
trips to the grocery store for snacks, trips to target or walmart for all the random things you'll need, the freedom to go home.. or any other place without being at someone's mercy..
yes. you're going to have to hunt for parking or just give up and park in that random lot that's a hike from your dorm every time you leave, but it will only be once or twice a week, so it's not that bad
