Question:
Also, what color do you drive? I live in Pocatello, Idaho and we have been over run with white vehicles lately. I drive a spruce green almost greyish silver color van!

Answer:
I see mostly silver cars. I live in Southern California. I don't drive yet =[

i need help on a driver's education project?
Question:
we're suppose to plan a road trip to somewhere that is 1500 miles round trip (for example: 750 miles there, 750 miles back. but it can be over 1500 miles.) I picked phoenix arizona (i live in pocatello idaho) I get most of it, but they want to know how much is it to rent a car for 5 days and how much insurance is... could someone plz tell me a website to go to or just the price? thanks.

Answer:
Hertz is a rental car service that should give you estimates. In the sources I included a link to their homepage and from there you should be able to derive an approximate value for any and all details you need. Depending on the car, you're looking at: at least $70 a day for the rental alone. You'll also have to research insurance and miles/milage and the such.

Best/Affordable Commute route from Los Angeles to Pocatello?
Question:
Ok... this one's a toughie... I'm traveling from Los Angeles, CA to Pocatello, ID... Originally planned to Drive up, 12hr min commute, 5 passengers in a 5 seater -- If using personal car (gas fees $150-$250) economy size car ... ugh... sooo crowded... -- Total cost for mini SUV - $700-$800 ($550 car rental and $150-$250 gas?) Greyhound - 21HR - 2 transfers $2000 total round trip (5 ppl) United Airlines/Delta = $500-$550/person total $2500 - $3000 round trip Does anyone know of any other public commute systems that goes from Los Angeles to Idaho??? I couldn't figure out if the Metro Link goes that far, or if Amtrak is an option. Thank you!!

Answer:
I would have to say commute isn't the best term for the type of trip you are suggesting. A rental vehicle would be best if traveling with 5 people as Greyhound has very poor service and would require transferring to another company to complete the trip. Thrifty car rental would likely have the best deal on a weekly rate full size car. Another option would be to fly into Salt Lake City at a lower cost then take Salt Lake Express, a bus service linking Pocatello to the airport. Amtrak wouldn't work for that routing. Hope this helps a little.

Should I take my car to college?
Question:
I am going to be a freshman in college, and I don't know if I will need my car or not. The parking permit is not that expensive, but don't think there's going to be enough parking space at the dorms. Realistically, how often do college students use their cars? I am not that much of an outgoing person anyways; I don't really party, none of my friends go to the same college, and I might only need to go to the store once in a while... so should I bring my car? If it helps, I am going to Idaho State University in Pocatello, ID. If you go there, can you tell me if you think a car is necessary or how the public transport is there? Thanks.

Answer:
you're almost never going to use it. that being said.. get it. trips to the grocery store for snacks, trips to target or walmart for all the random things you'll need, the freedom to go home.. or any other place without being at someone's mercy.. yes. you're going to have to hunt for parking or just give up and park in that random lot that's a hike from your dorm every time you leave, but it will only be once or twice a week, so it's not that bad
