Anyone know a good spot that no other cars go to learn how to drive in hawaii?
Question:
Oahu is such a busy island and I am 22 was in a car accident and I am devistated of cars. But I am moving to the mainland for a year and I need to learn how to drive in at least 2 months. I have tried but it is hard. Plus I am scared of other cars in the area and I just want to get used to the truck first before I drive on the road. Should I put a "student driver" sign on the trucks window??? so other cars can be aware of my driving??? I have my permit..I want to drive in like a parking lot. I live in wahiawa in a military housing complex and the roads here are curvy and busy...anyways...would driving school be better??? anyone know how much would it cost me?? and where is the best place to go too??

Answer:
Go to a cemetery. They usually don't have many cars there and you can drive really slow while you practice making turns. Just don't hit any headstones. You can use that window chalk to write "student driver" on your car window. It's not a bad idea to let people know you're just starting out. They probably won't get so pissed off when you make a mistake and they will give you plenty of room.:)

How can a friend of mine get some help where the US Army is involved?
Question:
My friend married a guy in the military. They were living on base where he was stationed in Wahiawa, Hi. They both flew home to SC in March. He found out he was leaving for Afghanistan in April. He went back to Hawaii alone, to pack up the house so everything could be shipped back to SC. He didn't finish the packing. He was suppose to take his deploy orders to housing, and sign a limited power of attorney to her so that she could do certain things. She was suppose to finish packing so that the army would ship all the furniture back to SC. She wanted to have a home ready for him when he gets back. She was to get out of their housing lease, because he would not be returning to Hawaii. She was suppose to try to sell their car, because they have two cars in SC. She made calls to Hawaii. He did none of these things before he left. Now she doesn't know what to do. The car is in both of their names. She is wondering if she can even fly back to Hawaii to get the rest of her clothes and the baby's clothes. She can't get in touch with her husband. Someone please tell me, what can this poor girl do? Is there any help for her at all?
