What is your opinion of Bond denied for illegal immigrants who allegedly shot at Georgia trooper?
Question:
Three illegal immigrants – including one who had previously been deported -- were ordered held without bond Tuesday after they allegedly fired shots at a Georgia State Patrol trooper during a chase, triggering a massive manhunt in Cherokee County. The three Smyrna men are being held in the Cherokee County Detention Center. They had an initial hearing Tuesday afternoon in Canton before Chief Magistate James Drane, Cherokee Sheriff’s Lt. Jay Baker said. Edgar Ortega Maldonado, 35, “was deported from the United States in December 2009 and obviously has returned,” Baker said. He did not know the circumstances that led to Maldonado’s deportation. Maldonado was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and party to a crime of aggravated assault on a police officer, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. His alleged companions, Jose Salvador Vera Lule, 28 (initially identified as Salvado Vera), and Arturo A. Ramires, 22, were each charged with criminal attempt to commit murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of felony and aggravated assault on a police officer, authorities said. The suspects also have had immigration holds placed on them. The incident began Sunday afternoon when a lookout was posted for a Honda Civic. A witness had called 911 to report seeing the Honda's occupants shoot at another vehicle on I-75 in Bartow County, according to the Georgia State Patrol. The trooper saw the vehicle on Ga. 20 and pursued it, trying to get the driver to pull over. Shots were fired at the patrol car during the chase. The suspects jumped out of the car at Woodall Road and Upper Sweetwater Trail, near the Cherokee/Bartow county line, "but not before firing on the trooper again, at which point he returned fire," State Patrol Capt. Joe Hamby told Channel 2 Action News. The trooper was not injured in the exchange of gunfire. Troopers, bolstered by officers from nearby sheriff's and police departments, helicopters and K-9 units, searched a heavily wooded area through the night for the suspects, who were captured Monday. “They knowingly shot at law enforcement and had no regard to his life or other’s people lives, and we’re glad we got them off the road because they were dangerous individuals,” said GSP Capt. Paul Cosper. http://www.ajc.com/news/cherokee/bond-denied-for-illeg al-1194380.html

What do you think of Driver's license laws hit auto dealers Unable to register, illegal immigrants return ?
Question:
http://www.ajc.com/metro/content/metro/stories/2007/07/15/tags_07 16.html?cxntlid=homepage_tab_newstab Jose Genao sells used cars for a living, but lately he's had to turn away customers from his Smyrna dealership. Genao used to sell about 15 vehicles a week, mostly Ford F-150 or Silverado pickups to a Mexican clientele. Now he sells only two or three. Half a dozen customers have returned cars because they can't register them. "They bring the key and tell me, 'Jose, I'm leaving,' " Genao said. Genao is feeling the fallout from a new state law, effective July 1, that requires a valid Georgia driver's license or ID card to register a car in Georgia. The law is cutting deep into traffic for many auto dealers and tag and title services catering to the state's growing immigrant community. Illegal immigrants can't get driver's licenses because to do so, they must prove they're in the country legally. The law also has the potential to cut into sales taxes and county ad valorem tax revenues, though metro area counties say it's too early to measure that effect. The bill's sponsor, Sen. Chip Rogers (R-Woodstock) said he did not target immigrants. "Yes, this will impact people who are here illegally, but my biggest focus is public safety," he said. "If [car dealers and tag services] have built their business on people who are here illegally, I'm sorry

Answer:
I think that is a very valid and necessary law. The guy who said that they are dangerous isn't just talking to hear himself yammer. It's the truth. In my hometown, quite a few years back, a crowded van full of illegals went the wrong way down an interstate (more than likely because they could not read english). If i remember correctly, they killed themselves plus an oncoming vehicle.

what to do when you people at your school shun you?
Question:
well when i started school the teachers lied on my mom and I and we haven't done anything they've tried to steal my awards rig my grades and give the kids they like better good grades and im a really good student im not mischievous I don't make trouble or get in any fights im a really good student but they treat us differently than the others students and parents. One day when my mom went into my school she said good morning to one of the parents there and she gave my mom and evil look in her eyes and all my mom did was say good morning. Then one morning when i was being about to get out of the car to go into the school and one of the parents stuck their tongue out at my mother her daughter is in my class she is nice to me. Even the principle and guidance counselor were treating me differently they were the ones who started all of this by passing information to all of the teachers. I thought my fifth grade teachers were nice their names were Mrs.MCcallister and Mrs. Ross but my mom said that they were behindit because they treated me the same way and i told my friends but they just don't understand what's going on. then when i got to the sixth grade it got even worse my teachers in sixth grade were Mrs.Battle, Mrs.sharp, Mrs. salters Mrs. sanacore and Mr.servy. So one month later the school was having a celebration for the kids who got good grades and who had good behaviors i got a's and b's and like i told you at the beginning i had no behavior problems but they did'nt want me there and it was on my birthday Oct. 8 they did that on purpose because they wanted to ruin my birthday and if you don't get invited to the icecream party they send you into another room to do school work and when i walked in the kids that were in there they were shocked to see me because they know im a good kid and the kids in the hallway going into the party told me that i can't believe they didn't invite you tyler you're a good kid and very smart.I was a little sad because i work so hard and theywanted totake this award away from me,and what they did on my CRCT tests they lied and said that i failed and i actuallly passed my mom was going to get the news crew to come and have them search the school because that is a big deal now where the teachers give certain kids good grades that don't deserve them. You wouldn't believe what i had to go through the name of this school is IIAS imagine international acadamy of smyrna this school is in Georgia t

Answer:
Awh hunny bunny, there are some horrible people out there. ): But dont let those worthless people(obviously not worth your time) affect you. You sound like such a good person this hurts me to read. I know how you feel because I'm a good and nice person and student and I get treated badly, too. You just have to rise above. Good things happen to good people. You sound very mature not to be hateful, bitter, and spiteful to them. Just keep your head high, good things are awaiting for you!(:
