how much is the price of a lease car in Marietta, GA?
Question:
how much is a lease car in Georgia. I want to rent one here help me

Answer:
leasing is for the long term, renting is just for a short term, leases are always under 1,000 bucks per month and renting is always under 100 bucks for a day. In Georgia they have some silly rules and laws, like it is okay to marry your cousin and taking your sister to the prom is no problem, I mean just driving her there of course, but It will be best if you can afford it to check around ant get a lease that will fit your budget. If you like to drive different cars then renting will be better for you. Hope this helps, you do need all the help you can get, and I enjoy helping those who have lost their way.

Unlicensed Driver in Georgia (International Student)?
Question:
Hello. I go to school in Marietta, Georgia and my friend is international student from China. She is really nice girl, 25 years old and she has 3.8 GPA and is honor student who is graduating this summer to go to ivy league school Columbia university. She said she need to be able to drive when she go to Columbia so she wanted to learn driving. I got her driver permit test book and let her read over it, and teach how to drive for road test on my car in school parking lot at mid night and campus police came and stop her because she was stopping randomly and wobbling side to side. We did not damage anything or was not involved in accident nor were we drunk. She didnt have license so she game him her information and I gave him my information and my driver license. Luckly he did not arrest and just gave her citation with court appear. It says OFFENSE: "Driving while unlicensed" in voilention of code section "40-5-20" of state law. REMARKS: "DVD#178" From here what should we do and how can we prepare for the court day? What is the situation? Would this be charged with a misdemeanor or can become infraction? I who has license were with her at the time. She is good student. She has Visa. It was at mid night therefore no cars, and no accident. So, if she were to get permit and license before court day will it help? If she get safety driving class which known to reduce charges be any help? Should she hire a lawyer? I really need to help this girl. Please help. Thank you.

Answer:

Answer:
I am not a lawyer. here is what you were cited for: (a) No person, except those expressly exempted in this chapter, shall drive any motor vehicle upon a highway in this state unless such person has a valid driver´s license under this chapter for the type or class of vehicle being driven. Your best defense is "a parking lot is not a street" In most cases, parking lots are private property, and do not fall under the traffic laws. A 6 year old can drive a car in his backyard and not be breaking any laws. You say you got the test books and everything, but did she apply for a permit? Lastly, unless your school is special, campus police are not real police. Are you going to "college court" or a real state court? This should be easily thrown out, but you might want to check with a lawyer just to make sure there arent any "gotchas"

How much are local movers in Georgia?
Question:
We are moving SOME stuff from a house to an apartment...about half the (two car) garage full plus some furniture in the room above a garage to a 2br apartment 10 miles away. How much do local movers charge? It's in Marietta (a suburb north of Atlanta) if that makes any difference.

Answer:
Any time I've moved, I've called a few companies to get quotes. When I moved from NY to Atlanta, price was based on poundage. Across town, it's frequently based on time. Any reputable company you call, should be able to estimate the charge. It doesn't seem like you have all that much. You have to decide if you want a registered and insured company (which will be more expensive and professional) or a couple of guys with a truck that advertise with a classified in the paper. I've always gone by gut instinct when I've spoken with movers -- and have never been burned. Good luck.

Answer:
Spitting should be illegal in any public place unless into a garbage can. I like the idea of everyone owning a firearm of some sort. And how in the world can i ever clean my own "ASS" if i am not allowed to keep my donkey in the bathtub?

Are these SERIOUSLY laws in present day Georgia?

Answer:
I can say for sure it the others are true, but I know it is a law in Kennesaw that every head of household must possess a firearm of some kind. The great thing about that laws is that it reduced violent crime, home invasion, burglary, and breaking and entering to almost nothing in Kennesaw. Great law in my opinion.

Obscure Laws (Long but FUNNY)?
Question:
The Greek sage Aristotle once penned, "Even when the laws have been written down, they ought not always remain unchanged." Not only is this wise advice, but also prophetic. Especially when you focus on some of the driving laws that loiter on the pages of state statutes. Tennessee, for example, has a law that bans shooting game, other than whales, from moving vehicles. Apparently, this law was authored during an unusually high tide or after too many dizzying spins on a Tilt-a-Whirl at Dollyworld. Chances of any whale finding its way into Tennessee via the Cumberland River are about as likely as Tony Danza winning a lifetime achievement award at the Cannes Film Festival. Yet, it exists. So as to assure that your next cross-country vacation does not get pricked by the thorns of legality, we at DMV.ORG have organized a list of arcane state laws that you should be aware of. For nothing can be more embarrassing than having to phone your attorney from Kentucky for help in escaping a fine for trying to transport an ice cream cone in your back pocket. Alabama It is illegal for a driver to be blindfolded while operating a vehicle. It is legal to drive the wrong way down a one-way street as long as a lantern is attached to the front of your car. Driving barefoot is illegal. Alaska It is illegal to tie a dog to the roof of your car. Arkansas It is illegal for a person to blare the horn on a vehicle at any place where cold drinks or sandwiches are served after 9 p.m. California Any woman dressed in a housecoat is prohibited from driving a car. It is illegal in San Francisco to buff or dry your car with used underwear. No unoccupied vehicle may exceed 60 miles per hour. Florida If an elephant is tied to a parking meter, the owner or attendant must deposit money in the meter. Georgia State Assembly members are immune from being ticketed for speeding while the State Assembly is in session. In Marietta, Georgia, it is illegal to spit from a moving car or bus, but is okay from a moving truck. Illinois In Evanston, Illinois, it is unlawful to change clothes while inside a car with the curtains drawn, except during a fire. Kansas In Derby, Kansas, it is considered a misdemeanor to screech your tires while driving. Kentucky If you stop for ice cream while driving, be aware that it is considered unlawful to transport an ice cream cone in your back pocket. Massachusetts You will be ticketed if you drive with a gorilla in the backseat of your car. Michigan If you car breaks down in Detroit and you are waiting for assistance, be aware that sitting in the middle of the street to read a newspaper is illegal. Minnesota It is illegal to cross state lines, regardless if you are walking or driving, with a duck on your head. And, if you're crossing into Wisconsin, the law also applies to chickens. In Minnetonka, Minnesota, if you drive a truck that leaves mud, dirt, or sticky substances on any road, you will be considered a public nuisance who is harming the peace, safety, and general welfare of the town. You cannot ride a motorcycle without a shirt. Montana In Whitehall, Montana, vehicles are prohibited from driving with ice picks attached to the wheels. Nevada It is illegal to drive a camel on the highway. New Jersey Drivers are required to beep their car horns before passing another vehicle. If convicted of driving while intoxicated, you permanently lose the option of registering for a vanity license plate. North Carolina In Dunn, North Carolina, it is illegal to drive on a sidewalk. Ohio In Oxford, Ohio, authorities will ticket you if you consecutively drive around the town square more than 100 times. Keep in mind that if your car breaks down and you phone for a cab, you will be ticketed if you opt to ride on the cab's roof. Oklahoma It is considered illegal to read a comic book while driving. Oregon You will be ticketed if you leave your car door open longer than is deemed necessary. You will be slapped with a Class A traffic violation if you use your car on an Oregon highway to prove your physical endurance. It is illegal to pump your own gas. Pennsylvania If you spy a team of approaching horses, you are required by law to pull to the side of the road and cover your car with a blanket or dust cover that has been painted or sewn to blend into the scenery. But, if the horses react skittish to your efforts, you are then required to disassemble your car and hide the parts in the nearby underbrush. South Carolina In Hilton Head, South Carolina, you cannot leave trash in your vehicle out of fear of attracting rats. Tennessee It is illegal to fire a gun at any wild game other than whales from a moving car. West Virginia It is perfectly legal, for road maintenance purposes, to scavenge road kill.

Answer:
Now I'm sitting here wondering WHY!!! Somebody must have done these things making them have to pass a law prohibiting these things!! WTF!! Strange stories of the day!! Road kill anyone??? hahahahahahaha!!
