Who's Hiring in Georgia?
Question:
I live in Lawrenceville (Gwinnett County) and I am in bad need of a job. I am 18 years old and I really need a job to pay my insurance and my payments on my car. Can someone please help me???? Do anyone know a good place to go. Or do you know if anyone is hiring right now???

Answer:
Culver's minimum hiring age is 14 with a workers permit. I called many stores because I am 14 looking for a job. This was the response they gave which makes me happy after looking for so long. Find a local one go online and apply and go in store to apply or call and ask if they are hiring. What I did was Google a bunch of business near my home and found their numbers using Google maps or their sites and I called and directly asked if they are hiring and what age do they hire at. Try local grocery stores, pizza parlors, retail stores, fast food restaurants.

The new 'thug finder' used by ATL police is racist, right?
Question:
http://www.wsbtv.com/news/22319514/detail.html New 'Thug' Finder Device Makes Debut In Georgia Posted: 9:39 pm EST January 22, 2010 Updated: 12:24 am EST January 23, 2010 BARROW COUNTY, Ga. -- Police officers now have a new tool for use in their daily efforts to fight crime. The “Thug FindIR,” created by a local company with a former DeKalb County police officer at the helm, uses thermal imagery and infrared technology to help police officers detect what the naked eye can’t see. “You can literally use it like a periscope,” said David Ratliff of Integrated Technology Systems. Channel 2 Action News reporter Tony Thomas got an exclusive look at the new device. In addition to tracking criminals, authorities said the small device will help find missing children, injured people and Alzheimer’s patients too. The first unit went into service Friday in at the Auburn Police Department in Barrow County, with the second unit headed for Lawrenceville. “It doesn't do anyone any good if a SWAT truck you need is an hour away from a scene. I need it right then, when I need it,” said company CEO Greg Davis. Although the technology has been around for years, the cost could total in the tens of thousands of dollars. However the “Thug FindIR” costs under $5,000 and its creators hope police departments across Georgia will buy them for every squad car. “I wish I could buy one for everyone of my officers,” said Auburn Police Chief Fred Brown.
