Please EXPLAIN, how the hell will this work? Question: How the HELL, will rasing taxes incourage people to spend more, invest more, and buy more?
How the hell does wasting the PEOPLE'S money, on failing, bad companies, good for our economy?
How the hell is taking money from the small business and big business--the people who DO produce the wealth in America, and then giving it to failed companies and lazy bastards who collect welfare, help our economy?
How the hell will more government spending on useless programs help our nation?
How the hell is a stimulus, filled with 90% JUNK, help our nation? The amount of useless spending in this bill is very shocking to me. How is $60 million dollars for sex prevention going to help our economy!? How is $40 million dollars to the liberal company ACORN going to help us!? How is $600 million dollars, which will be used to buy federal employees hybrid cars, going to help the economy!? How is $2 billion dollars towards the new FutureGen near-zero emission power plant in Mattoon going to help our economy!? How is $1.6 million for Detroit teams going to help our economy!? How is $198 million dollars which provides compensation for Filipino veterans who were enlisted to fight in World War 2, going to help our economy!? How is $60 billion dollars for corporate welfare going to stimulate our economy!? How is spending $75,000 dollars on the “Totally Teen Zone” in Albany, Georgia, going to help our economy!? How is $332,500 to build a school sidewalk in Franklin, Texas, going to stimulate anything!? How is spending $6,838,000 dollars for the “John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts” going to help our economy!? How is $1,049,000 to combat Mormon Crickets in Utah, going to help our economy!?
Please do explain in great detail...

I'm no ideologue, maybe the stimulus could work, IF it wasn't filled with 9000 earmarks.
Answer:
Well, the logic behind Keynesian economics has to do with the multiplier effect. The thinking is that in order to boost the economy someone's gotta spend. The people aren't spending, so government has to force the money away from them and spend it themselves. And it does have some positive results. Historically, for every dollar government spends, GDP raises 1.4 dollar. For every dollar it does not usurp, however, GDP has risen 3 dollars historically. Kind of makes you realize what this stimulus was really all about: gov't growth.
To tax is to slow down or destroy. For every dollar that government takes in, it must usurp from someone else. Every figure on that list will, at some point, mean someone gets laid off. It means someone buys less bread from the baker who buys less flour. The grain mill then pays their employees less. For every bridge that government builds in the name of economic stimulus, countless jobs are destroyed. The idea that government stimulus is necessary is equal to the idea that government better knows how to spend your money than you do. Judging by your list and the list on recover.gov, I'd say that such an idea is quite false.
