Can anyone provide info on a 1956 (?) assembled Corvette convertible?

My husband and I saw this gorgeous cream colored assembled Corvette with the license plate "Duntov" and "roar to Zora and Field of Dreams decals on the windshield at the Classic Corvettes and Collectables Museum in Tarpon Springs 3 years ago...Does anyone have any additional info on this car? For example, was this Zora Arkus-Duntov's personal car? Is the year right? My husband seems to think it is a commemorative edition and that it is perhaps a 1954? What about engine size?

Answer:
The 54 Model had single headlights and round tail lights. The 56 had single headlights and different style tail lights. The 56 tail lights were round but they were in the body with a chrome insert around it.

I would not own a Land Rover. I know a few people that had owned rovers and the car was always in the shop. And they are pricey to repair . Get the Acura, they are a Honda with Honda reliability and parts are easy to obtain if it ever breaks.

I am leaving for my honeymoon on 5/27 and coming back 6/2 We got a condo, and plan on visiting beaches and universal, and taking it easy. Well here is the problem. Me and FH are 24. We need to rent a car. All i can find is where they charge you and extra $25.00 a day, and then put like ALOT of money on "hold".,... I dont have all the money for them to hold, and no credit cards, only my bank card. Does anyone have any suggestions, or know any mom and pop places, or anything? The condo is in Tarpon Springs, and we will be flying into Tampa. I am afraid of getting stuck at the airport for my honeymoon :(

Okay both answers above are correct and it is a sad fact that you have to be 25+ to rent with out giving up your first born. I worked for Tampa International in the Traffic department for many years on the drives (arrivals and departures). I have talked to many people and found a lot of use full information from them. 1st there is a go around for a rented vehicle, its Ryder or U-hal they have a 18+ on their rentals and offer pick up trucks. I have seen companies rent box trucks for guys that had to have transportation in town but the drivers were under 25, Truth. 2nd contact Super Shuttle 1-800-282-6817 they will cost $24 per person to Tarpon Springs. http://www.supershuttle.com/htm/cities/tpa.htm then use a taxi service to other points of interest or the bus system. Also if you are pleasant to other guest where you are staying you may be able to share a ride with them and split cost. 3rd Universal Studios is really not going to be cost effective unless you get a rental. for a taxi it would be close to $200 one way and a limo is just about the same. There are no shuttles to and from. Grey hound has a route but not time efficient. 4th You may want to see about restructuring you stay. Stay 3 nights in tarpon springs 5/27 5/28 and 5/29. Then switch to a place in Tampa near Busch Gardens 5/30 and do a day at BG 5/31 and go to Adventure Island 6/1. This is the best I can come up with. I think It wrong the way rental car places operate on this issue. It would make sense to treat everyone the same and for the under 25ers make it mandatory they take the extra insurance but not at 25 a day maybe 10 to 12 and limit the car to a economy or coupe only. Even if they only offered the older cars in their inventory would be a pluss. Enjoy your stay and congrats on the marriage, May 27 is my Birthday. and I visit Tarpon springs all the time, enjoy the Greek culture and spend time at the sponge docks.

what to fish for this March and April months in Florida?

Saltwater to be exact, my Grandfather and I are hardcore fishermen we fish as much as we can as possible (I'm a little more hardcore since after we do saltwater i do some freshwater fishing afterwards ;)). Anyway we've been fishing Spanish mackerel at skyway pier and him and I are always the only ones catching them no one else catches as much as we do when we go their as far as mackerel is concerned. But these past fishing trips we have only caught 20 then the next was 13 then the next was 2, the people next to us keep asking how we catch all these Macks and we just say luck but we both know we were the only REAL fishermans in that pier that Know what rigs to use at the right time. Back to my question, Ive been catching very little Macks in a very long period of time I think me and my Gramps should find something else to fish for but i cant seem to find anything very fun (catching alot of fish). We have a Grady White but we cant get it to close to the shore like flats boats its 22ft length wise forgot the model but its 25 years old and still running in tip top shape. Anyway what fish can we go after that will put up a fight and good to eat that we can catch alot of and when i say alot i mean like 25-60 fish a trip. If your wondering why we take so much fish is because we eat them and if we cant finnish them all or dont want to finnish them all we give them to the our other family members. Thanks for the feedback. Oh and BTW we live in new port richey Florida but our marina is at tarpon springs so keep that in mind and we can travel from new port richey - st. petersburgh to go fish which is like an hour to an hour and a half long so anywhere that we can travel to thats within this time range would also be good.(driving a car not a boat obviously)
