Who shall I hire a car from at Sanford Airport Florida?
Question:
My family and I are going to Florida in August, landing at Sanford Airport. I want to hire a car but am unsure which one to go for. The price isn't the main issue, stress limition is probably top of the list with the least queuing and ease of transaction. Do off-airport companies bring the car to you? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

Answer:
Avoid I-4 traffic through Orlando. Use Toll road FL-417, and have some coins ready.

Cheapest rental car in Sanford or Orlando Florida?
Question:
I am going to need a car in Sanford, FL. Who has the best rates, national chain or not?

Answer:
You can try renting form http://www.pointcarhire.com/us/index.html as they are a broker company which lists cars from major rental; suppliers like Budget, Alamo, Enterprise etc. So the you will get all the prices and discounts at one place and that will help you to get cheapest of deals.

I got a speeding ticket in Sanford Florida ( going 85 mil/hr in 65 mil/hr zone). it is my first ticket?
Question:
it was 1 AM and the high way was almost empty maybe only three cars. I really don't want points in my records plus my insurance is high enough right now. So should I higher a lawyer? if yes which lawyer or office do you prefer? for some reason my grammar and spelling sucks in this question !

Answer:
Your first ticket. Pay it and go to traffic school. As long as you stay out of trouble, you will not get points on your license. I guess it depends on the time that you have to spend though.. If it costs more to pay for the ticket and traffic school vs the lawyer, then go for the lawyer. Some lawyers pull you in with a low fee then hit you. So weigh your options carefully.

Hertz car hire Sanford Airport?
Question:
Has anyone out there hired a car from Hertz at Sanford Florida. If so, got any tips? I must admit, I've read reviews on all the top car hire firms and it scares the life out of me...hard sell tactics for insurance you shouldn't need, extra charges for no apparent reason, the list goes on. I have two small children and after a long flight we just want to be on our way with no stress. Is that possible?? Thanks

Answer:
all car rental agencies are about the same...how you handle it is different. Reading reviews online is NOT the real world...most people get the insurance because they HAVE to...if you don't, don't take it. Extra charges for what ? my husband drives a rental every two weeks all around the US. He uses Hertz and has never had a problem ( NV, TX, CA, MD, FL, AZ..) Things are only problems if YOU make them. Hertz has online service ( I've used it and gotten exactly what I wanted.) no problems. (and no my husband didn't tell me how and I didn't use his name...)

I am 23 years old, who is the best value company to hire a car in Florida?
Question:
I am looking for a company who hire cars to under 25's in Orlando, preferably from Sanford airport. Without a young drivers penalty.

Answer:
(Didn't think you drove Jescikka!Good to see you have been reading my previous answers tho!) Yes, most companies will actually hire to renters over 21 years old, with most imposing the payment of an additional fee. I always hire a car and have used www.yescarhire.com and www.carhire3000.com. You can also approach Alamo direct, but you might not get a good deal, but the two companies above generally end up givng you a car from Alamo. Fortunately, the Alamo office in Sanford is usually quite empty, with Dollar being the provider of choice for Holiday companies. Personally I would steer clear of Dollar... If you are looking to get a Sat Nav, take one from here with US maps because the prices they charge over there for 14 days hire, you can buy a cheap Sat Nav for!!! I wouldn't recommend TomTom either, unless you want to get lost! Go for a Garmin. Sanford is the best too, as it is soo easy to get out of and not busy at all. You don't need to take the toll road though, just head for the I4 which is about 8 miles west from the airport and pretty much in a straight line too. You'll have a great time!

What is the quickest route from Orlando Sanford International Airport down to Disney World Hotels?
Question:
We are going to Disney Florida and flying with First Choice into Sanford International Airport. There seem to be a few possible routes does anyone know which is quickest? I don't mind paying 4 tolls I just want to get there quickly! Also has anyone hired a car through first choice.. is pick up easy at Sanford etc? How much time would you allow to get to Disney from landing. Want to book a character meal 4 my daughter but land at bout 4pm... Thanks in advance!!

Answer:
Personally the 417 (especially if it's your first time to Orlando) is the way to go. We fly in from the UK and arrive in Sanford around 4pm, every time we've arrived, its taken around 1 hr from the plane to sitting in our vehicle...so the time is now 5pm and the locals are leaving work to go home!!!!!!!!!!! Here's one of our links straight from our website, if you go to http://maps.google.com/maps?q=%22SFB+to+Lake+Buena+Vista+3283 0%22&spn=0.4 this will supply you with the map and directions to the Disney area. Just make sure you have around $10 dollars handy for the tolls....honestly its worth it, also it allows your driver time to acclimatise to the vehicle. Your journey should take you around 1hr 15mins. Hope this helps, if you require further information about Orlando please visit our family run website at http://www.sunkissed-orlando-holidays.com Have a great time! David & Denise

Sanford Airport near Orlando! What's the cheapest way to get from Sanford Airport into Poinciana Town Centre ?
Question:
I'll be visiting Poinciana (near Kissimmee, Florida) for a short vacation. A taxi from Sanford Airport to Poinciana Town Centre will cost over $100. Can you suggest a cheaper alternative? (I also need a cheap solution for the journey from Poinciana Town Centre back to Sanford Airport at the end of my vacation) Please note: renting a car is not an option. Thanks for your help in advance !

Answer:
I don't know much about Lynx, so I don't even know if they will take you to Poinciana, that would be something to check into though. I would suggest doing a town car. The prices are not too high and compared to a taxi you will save money. I beleive the company I uses charges $130 from Sanford. You would need to actually talk to the town car company to get a better idea of what they would charge, since I always go to Orlando that is what I am basing it on. Hope this helps!

Where can I find the movie schedule for AMTRAK's Auto Train?
Question:
I frequently travel on AMTRAK's Auto Train (which goes from Sanford, Florida to Lorton, Virginia) a couple times of the year, and am actually going on it today. I was hoping to find out where I can find a schedule of which movies they are showing in the Lounge Car on which dates? I know they usually play movies in the car which have recently come out on Blu-Ray and DVD. Thanks.

Answer:
Amtrak does not post this information. You'd have to call Lorton or Sanford and ask (the check-in staff will know). The Auto Train typically shows two movies for a month: one north bound and the other south bound. At the end of the month they get in two new movies.
