This goo is hot and it burns skin.so we ran upstars and th goo was going up the steps. Then there was some random people in my car port and it was everywhere burning people and u tried not to touch it. i guess it was happening everywhere bcus there were people running & screaming. So i stepped out and it began falling out of the sky in little orange goo dots. So people were running everwhere this stuff burning our skin and we went under all kinds of stuff to get protection. after a while this group of people and i found a semi small shed with bunk beds in them. So we all stayed in there. There were people in there making christmas cookies in there so we ate some and i woke up.

can i have some feedback on my short story?
Question:
I'm 16 years old and a beginning writer, be gentle heh heh As Seen Through the Lens I rolled out of bed, the view was nice, central park…slightly frosted from the cold. I moaned out my complaints of early morning grog as I shuffled towards my closet wardrobe to pick out today’s outfit. Stylish, but snug as well to keep out the cold that seemed to have consumed New York City this early morning. I slipped on my shoes and grabbed a cold slice of pizza from the fridge as well as my camera on my desk and head out the door. Today was my trip to the country. The car port was a mass spiral and platforms of cars towering over me. I sighed and cursed under my breath as I dread the oncoming walk and treasure hunt to find my car. I pulled out my keys and clicked the wakeup button on the pad and was responded to happily by my awaiting car as it stood now silent in a spot I overlooked moments ago. I climbed in and enduringly proceeded with my routine examine of my car for missing items; thievery was sadly common in New York and I wasn’t about to take any chances. I pulled out of the maze of cars and head down the road towards the exit of town but not of course before being bombarded by the steady stream of traffic that was New York. After what seemed like forever I finally made it through and was on my way down the highway. Not sure an exact location I was bound for I just improvised and let my heart take me to the nature. I only get a chance to take these shots once a year and the greeting card companies were sure to hound me for them eventually as Thanksgiving neared. The scenic adventure down the road was quite unique to say the least. The leaves of the trees were a spectacular array of color ranging from a deep red, a glorious orange, and an utmost luminescent yellow. I felt a warm glow from my childhood car rides through the country stir within me and brought a much welcome and needed smile to my face as I whizzed down the street steadily observing my surroundings, and the road of course. I finally arrived at the secluded meadow I was apparently destined to be drawn to. I unlatched and grabbed my camera as I exited my car and inhaled a sharp gasp. Knowing mostly only the city my entire life the open nature was mysterious and beautiful to me. I couldn’t help but be captivated by its glory and spectacular view. I could only imagine the scene at night with the moon illuminating the tops of the trees accented by the sparkling stars. I snapped a few shots of the area before me and proceeded to adventure into the waiting forest to admire its splendor. The fresh foliage and soft grass accented the what seemed like ancient wooden monoliths rooted into the grand with a fiery collage of fire nestled upon their limbs. I wandered about, not sure of direction but still aware of where I’ve been and where I ha vent, and luckily I remembered the position of my car. My camera clicked relentlessly as I captured the beauty held before my lens. The pictures though seemed to do little justice to the amazing mural held before my eyes. The few hours rolled by in what seemed like minutes and the fatigue from walking hit me like a brick wall. I packed up my supplies and head towards my car. I set out to the open road again during what was now the late afternoon. ‘’how did the time fly so fast?’’ I wondered to myself aloud. It felt like only moments I was honored by the nature showing itself to me but in reality it was much longer a trip. I kept a steady pace on the road as my eyes scanned the nearby hotels contemplating staying the night for not wanting to deal with the hectic new York traffic. The childhood memories of my parents taking me on similar trips flooded back to me and made me feel exceptionally good inside. I realized how much I was missing of the spirit of our earth as I spent my days socializing with assorted people day by day in this concrete jungle of towering buildings suffocating me. I kept going down the road pondering with myself these newfound mysteries I have been encumbered in now. At last I decided that I needed this more often, I had grown sad and lonely inside and the outdoors made me feel alive again….’’I think I’ll make this a regular trip’’ I spoke aloud to myself with a smile and kept going.

You're mixing up past tense with present tense on a few occasions, but I think it was pretty well written for a beginner. Keep up the good work!

can dogs get kennel cough from cats that live with dogs? (story included)?
Question:
***SHORT: My dog killed a cat a week ago and has been choking for the past few days, i thought it was just a bone or twig stuck in her throat but i noticed she's sneezing while she's choking. i havent heard her gag for i think to be an hour but it might start again. Could she have gotten kennel cough from the cat? i believe the cat lived with dogs, maybe it was a carrier, though there have been cases where cats can be infected with it. ***SHORT SYMPTOMS: gagging, sneezing while gagging, snot spraying out while sneezing while gagging. runny nose only after she stops gagging, then she's fine. ***LONG: (minor explicitly detailed, and somewhat boring. if you like stories, true of fiction (this is true), then read on. if not, please dont skim and start posting things that dont make sense because you didnt read the whole thing. thank you to you readers. i find readers to be of equal value to answerers. though answers are great and i kinda need one, knowing that people read it and that my question wasnt skipped (never read, they usually are and i never get answers) is great.) NOTE: (so all is understood, i've never met our neighbors, never seen them and dont know their names. our properties are divided by a 12ft brick wall with barb wire across yet we can hear them speaking with "indoor voices" as if they were right next to us. we've lived behind each other for 8 years) *******(about a week ago, maybe 11 days) right behind us lives a family with i think to be 2 dogs (hard to tell, i've never seen them, only heard) and a bunch of cats, mostly kittens (maybe a month old). i went out to the back yard to bring the laundry in from off the line and heard the 2 children that live there and their classmates singing "we are the world" (a little pitchy if you ask me). how do i know classmates? its that time of the year here where all the elementary schools have social programs with students performing numbers in lightly competitive events only to raise awareness for whatever theme the school chooses. that or they perform at high school or college graduations. i go inside and finish cleaning up when my 2 dogs (8y/o mutt (terrier mixed with something) and her 2y/o daughter (mom mixed with poodle/shi tzu father)) go stark raving made in the back yard. i ignore them for a while as they normally do this 27 times a day. they bark at the garbage men, little kids running down the street, other dogs, cats, Jehovah's witnesses, everything that moves, except birds because they finally learned that they cant catch them. i heard whining and growling and thought something was up, but what really got me going was when May (mom) "attacked" Lulu (2 y/o) and Lulu yelped. when May's in "the zone", you dont mess with her. i came out to see a rust and brown cat, cornered, hissing and clawing at my dogs. i tried to get them away from it (verbally, you dont want to get into May's way in a fight. Dad learned that the hard way 3 years ago) then got the hose out and sprayed them. Lulu cowarded and hesistated to stay (my dogs HATE water) May didnt move, neither did the cat. i yelled and spray all of them (including the cat) in the face and they all gave in. Dogs ran for the front yard to hide from my "lethal weapon" and the cat hid behind the clothes line post (5inches from where it was when i went outside). i put down the hose and blocked off the the narrow path from car port to back yard with an old white board leaning against the house jus as May and Lulu came back for more. i went over to the corner and looked at the cat (wet, muddy, scared, furious, and a collar). A blue and orange collar was around its neck with a little brass bell dangling, but no name tag. (oh yeah, there's a really small gap that goes half way down the wall on the right edge so you can kind of see the neighbors back yard, just big enough for May to squeeze through but luckily she cant reach it). i look over to the neighbors yard and cant really see much but the back door and a rusty gas tank. i call out to them (it had only been at least 10mins since i brought the laundry in) and asked if they were missing a cat. no one answered, but when i put the board up i could hear the mother talking to her kids. i called out and asked 3 more times and never got an answer, but i did hear the son go "where's Chris?". it didn't sound like they were leaving or going inside, their voices were still as loud and clear as if they were standing in the middle of their yard. 1. is Chris a common name for a cat? 2. they had friends over so maybe he wasnt referring to the cat. 3. i know they have cats, they have LOTS of cats and our other neighbors dont have cats. they have dogs that hate cats. so am i wrong to suspect them for not taking full responsibilty in keeping their pets inside THEIR OWN property? next thing i hear is rustling and see Lulu looking up next thing i hear is rustling and see Lulu looking up at me like she's the cutest thing to ever walk the planet (she kind of is :3). i worried that May was coming next but saw she was still waiting behind the board while Lulu decided to go around the house. while this whole thing was going on i was texting my father asking what to do because i was NOT going to touch that cat and i was NOT going to wait for the people behind our house to finally get the gall and say, "oh that's my cat". (we have no animal control here. animal control would be like calling your local butcher or any guy on the street willing enough to risk a few cuts and scrapes to "remove" an animal, just as long as you pay him) yes, its that bad. i was too busy texting to notice May sneaking up behind me and didnt realize what had happened (a loud bark ringing in my right ear, saw a white and orange flash and heard a high pitch meow) til it was over. May had grabbed the cat at the neck and dug her worn down canines in canines in deep. Lulu joined in and started yanking at its tail and hind legs in the same manner you would see when dogs play tug of war. (*dont get me wrong, im not proud of it but there was nothing left for me to do to make it better*) i stood there watching as my dogs mangled the cat lifeless. it only took less than a minute for it to stop clawing at May's neck and kicking Lulu's nose. the cat was dead but May didnt let go. I told them to back off but only Lulu walked away. a few moments later, May dropped the lifeless body, stood up and looked me. "what? you want a trophy?" i said. all she did was give me a little smirk (its creepy when dogs smile) then laid down next to the cat, admiring her work. i was through with all the fuss with the cat and the killing and the nasty dogs that just took their bath the day before, that i grabbed the shovel, and dug a hole. i was satisfied at knee deep and May looked at me bad. she knew what i was going to do and she didnt like it. i "threatened" her with the shovel (just for her to move, i would never hit a dog with a shovel unless i really really really had to or i was being attacked by cujo) and buried the cat, i piled in broken hollow block pieces into the hole, packed the dirt in tight, laid more bricks down and i even gave a short (somewhat hurtful) eulogy. "here lies dumb***t cat" yep, that's all i said. i pet my dogs, went inside, washed my hands like mad, and gave them half a banana each. (what? they like it). i finished cleaning and told dad everything when he got home. he was a little angry for me burying it but am i supposed to do with the cat? i dont know. where am i going to take a dead cat? the ice parlor? so i did what i did. 3 days ago, May dug it up. RANCID! the cat was black, and i could everything incuding bare bone. the only thing, ONLY THING i couldn't see was the cat's hind legs. (they were gone) yeah, i know. sick. very sick. dont yell at me, i didnt do. i tried to save the cat. yes i didnt do my best, but its animal natural for dogs to kill cats, jus like cats to mice, is it any different if i witnessed the whole and tried to call the owners and do something about it? does it make me bad? it shouldn't. ***LONG SYPMTOMS My dog is 8 years old, mutt, mix breed of probably everything, no front teeth, canines that look like rejected jelly beans, back teeth all still there and stays outside 24/7. yes, she is exposed to every sort of disease out there but this is one of the only times that she's ever been sick and it just happens to be right after she ate a week dead cat. maybe its not kennel cough, maybe its worse. but her symptoms are gagging, retching, hawking whatever you want to call it, running nose with sneezing only when she coughs. her eyes look normal (i would know, i stare at them constantly, they're pretty) she's not irritable, sensitive to touch or sound, she stills gets wired up when she sees me eating cheese. nothing wrong with her stool, no blood anywhere, no whining at night, she still sleeps in the lawn chair, on her back with her legs up in the air. she always runs towards the gate to greet people we know and ward off the solicitors and people that just stand there in front of our gate for no reason. she's just as normal as she's always been but she's coughing like mad. AND she's still the most ROTTEN DOG EVER. jus earlier she walked over to me when she was coughing and sneezed all over my leg, then looked up at me with that big old goofy smile of hers. yes, my dog's does that. and Lulu's just as bad. i dont know, maybe they get it from me. hahaha well thats it. i'd tell you what i had for lunch but i dont know if you want a 40ft long story about me eating a hamburger from Kokomo's. thanks everybody who post answers, comments bout the story, my dogs and the cat, rants about animal cruelty and those who want to get Kokomo's number for delivery. their burgers and tropical salad are boss. everything else is ok. but dont take my word for it, i only work there. ***FAILED TO MENTION!!!*** the closest vet here is a whack job that needs to get shut down. first day we ever met the owner (also the head vet and always there) he freaked us out and we left. the good vet is all the way across town and expensive, we only go there to get routine shots and if there's an emergency, kind of like when Ginger, (May's other daughter) swelled but like a volleyball and died on the operating table, her veins collapse. the vet said she had severe hemorrhaging that happen at birth. she was 2 months old when she died. the other pups are all very healthy and were given as gifts to very good friends of ours. we see them from time to time. swelled up not but.., wow i just now noticed alot of typos. my apologies

Answer:
Cat and dog kennel cough are different strains.Usually not transversed from one to the other.I suppose it could happen there are new strains all the time. I would check with your vet

ac problem with car.....what type of oil should I use?
Question:
1995 buick century 3100 40,674miles. ok, this car given as gift....low miles. ac was blowing hot so I charged the unit and noticed orange crust around the port going into the evaporating canister (guess hi pressure line going into the canister) and assumed it was leaking there and used JB Weld to seal it. Recharged the ac and again after two days it blows hot. I also noticed sweating lines....like the low pressure line was sweating around the port area and the line down by what I assume is the ac's radiator was sweating as well. Im no HVAC but again I assume that the sweating was normal since the humidity here was around 80-90% for a couple days. So what would the problem be with these sweating lines? Also, considering the mileage on the vehicle and advancements in oil since 1995 what would be a good oil to use (and filter) for this car? thanks

Answer:
i have to agree with michael s refrigerant can be dangerous as it can lead to severe frost bite and instant blindness if sprayed into the eyes the high side is under extreme pressure anyway you have a leak in the system and jb weld wont fix it you need to vaccum the system down and use a nitrogen tracer with a sniffer to find the leak and repair it then re charge the system take it to a shop and get it fixed

Is there a way to find out my Bluetooth Password? Or is my device blocked forever? :(?
Question:
Hello there, I have recently come to sell my PDA (Orange M600/HTC Prophet). I used to use it as a GPS in the car and as a phone until I got a new one about 8 months ago. The problem is, the GPS device connects to the phone in an unusual way. I have the PDA car holder which acts as a charger and a bluetooth device. The GPS unit (UT-41), then plugs into the car holder via a port that looks like a modem cable. The PDA holder is then Bluetooth, which you would connect to the phone using the pairing facility just like using a bluetooth GPS receiver or headphone etc. But unfortunately, due to the length of time since last pairing I have just totally forgot the pairing code, and due to the PDA not being switched on for a while, it reset itself when I charged it back up. I can not find the code anywhere and have tried all usual codes that I can think of/ find on the internet. Is there anyway I can reset or somehow get the code back using a piece of software? Thanks in advance! The Password was already set when I purchased the device. The device has a built in password so I believe so I cant change it. I purchased the Device from a friend who used to work for a taxi company when they got new models in. The actual device has no name etc on it, so can not trace it back to the manufacturer. I have opened the case to see if any manufacturer is in there, but unfortunately it is just the electronics manufacturer. The only other thing I know is that the Bluetooth name is Mercury, any indication to a company? I'm not sure I have researched it but with no results. Don't mean to sound offensive, but if you are going to respond and say it is 0000/1111/0011/000000 etc, then please don't. I have tried all the ones suggested on the internet, this pin needs to be some how reset, I don't know how this would work or cracked etc. Thank you for all responses. Anybody who is familiar with the Mercury Taxi device, then feel free to also comment.

Car chugs and then dies awhile driving and at stoplights?
Question:
Alright, I just bought a car, and it works great and all has great pick up its just a beater and thats all I can afford at the moment. Its a 1992 Chevrolet Berreta GT with a 3.1 Multi port V6 and has about 146K miles on it. Well everything seems to work on it accept the a/c but that doesn't matter, what I'm concerned about is the fact that I will be driving normally, not hotroding, not anything like that, and then it will chug, the rpm meter will jump up and down and then it will die. It takes me about a minute to get it restarted and its fine I drive away with no problems. Whats annoying is that it does this daily, if I'm lucky I can go the day with out it dying, but it will still chug, I just throw it in neutral and rev the engine to 2k rpm, and it usually snaps out of it. I suspect that it has something to do with the oil pressure or something because the oil gauge keeps jumping up and down. It usually chugs and dies when the meter is up by the 80 mark or down by the orange line saying zero. So if anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear them

Answer:
id check your oil sending unit.. maybe its screwed up and sending a signal to the cars computer to shut down the motor... has the idiot light came on when it does this? (the little oil light telling you theres a problem and generally when they do that your screwed already)
