Can I sue Walmart for discrimination and unethical practice? Question: Hi my name is Joshua Ruano and I used to be employed by Sam's Club in Pinellas Park, FL. I worked for this company for almost 2 years and I was terminated on August 19 2011. The reason I was terminated was because I was on my cell phone while I was on the clock... which I find ridiculous since all the managers are always on their phone.. including the GM. Most people would say that its work related but I highly doubt they are always on their phones dealing with work issues. How do you expect your employees to follow the rules when the managers aren't setting the example? Not only did I lose my job but I also lost my home and have had trouble looking for employment ever since. I have went back to the club several times to to speak to managers about getting my job back. I have spoken to them in person and over the phone numerous times but they always tell me they will call me back and they don't. I'm at the point were I feel like I am begging for my job back and they can't give me a answer. It upsets me that I worked my butt off for them under circumstances that no one should have to go through. The lot associates are very hard workers and it seems as if their hard work goes unnoticed. We were always short handed outside and I always had to work twice as hard and come in when they didn't have anyone in the lot. I have stayed past my shift many times and worked in terrible weather conditions but they could care less because I'm a nobody to them. There was a COS I used to work with that got fired around the same time I did and she just recently got her job back and she got promoted to team leader in the bakery department. Where is the justice in that? I don't want to belittle a COS' job but I feel like I worked way harder than she did and I'm still unemployed. COS aren't the ones working outside when its 100 degrees or when its raining. The lot associates are the ones busting their behinds so members can have carts when they shop or when they need help loading groceries into their car. Walmart expects the lot associates to do all the hard work and only get paid minimum wage with no tips. I remember having to work outside when it would rain with no proper rain gear. My manager would send someone to the dollar store to buy the lot associates plastic panchos so we can "cover" ourselves when we worked in the rain. I'm upset at the fact that they won't take me back and the also because they gave my old COS her job back but they can't even return my phone call. I don't want to play the race card but I feel like they would take her back over me simply because of my ethnicity. Can I file a lawsuit against Sam's Club for discrimination and all the unnecessary working conditions I had to endure when I worked there? I apologize for ranting.. but I feel like I have to get this off my chest. Answer: You got fired for breaking the rules. "Other people did it" is just childish. They don't have to hire you back. You can file any lawsuit you want, but you won't get anywhere with it. Do you really expect us to believe that WalMart bought ponchos at the Dollar Store? |

So I parked in 2 hour parking today for about 4 hours, I had two chalk marks on my car but no ticket.?
