New car purchase prices in Florida?
Question:
Do these prices seem a little high or about right? This is my first car (first title, tag, ect) $662 tax $659 title $279 new tag I bought the car at Kendall Toyota $7,998 - no need to scream ;) Sorry. The car I purchased was a used car an '04. There was only one previous owner and like I said, its the first car being registered under my name, hence new tag and veh registration.

Answer:
The title fee sounds ridiculously high. Some unscrupulous dealers will tack on fees in hidden places to cover some of their extra fees like advertising or, in this economy, a weak few fiscal quarters. This is NOT your responsibility so I would have questioned the salesperson when I saw that. The new tag fee also seems very high if it isn't the first tag issued to this car (not you -- the car). I don't know of many $8000 new cars so I'm going to say you got ripped off there, too. A tag for a previously owned car should be $125 plus an electronic processing fee charged by the DMV in Florida. I think you might make a good case for them to cut you a check for at least a few hundred dollars. What they did was unethical and, in the state of Florida, illegal. Remind them of this and see what happens.

Everyone should live in NYC in their 20's. There's time enough to waste your life in the sun later.

Auto Dealer Sold me Crashed Car!?
Question:
I bought a Lexus IS250 2008 on 09-28-2008 with 3,000 miles at Michael's Auto Sales in West Park, Florida. From the day that I bought the car I pointed out a few things that the car needed that I noticed were not right that they told me would be fixed. I have taken the car to Lexus of Kendall a few times because the car promps me that things are not wroking correctly. They have discovered that the car was involved in a car accident and air bags were deployed when it happened. The left front drivers side is where the impact was and Lexus discoverd that wires are servered and the water resevoir tank is cracked due to a collision with poor work done to the inside. I have had the car for three months now. Is there anything that I can do to have the contract voided and all money invested in the car returned to me? Should I seek legal help. I have a good feeling that the dealership knew the car had problems because they dont answer my phone calls, neglect to call me back and dont serve me! Please help.

Answer:
Sorry you didn't like my answer before, but it still the same result, reading right out the laws in Florida. 1. The dealer can not disclose previous damage if they had no knowledge of the previous damage. 2. Florida dealers are not required to tell you about damage. Florida is a salvage vehicle state. They only have to tell you if it is salvage vehicle, which by Florida definition is a "total loss". Florida will then only issue a "rebuilt" title. 3. Florida is a non damage disclosure state. You are better off if can prove if they committed fraud of some sort.

DOES THIS SOUND INTERESTING? SOMETHING YOU WOULD WANT TO CONTINUE?
Question:
*This is my first time writing, so I was just seeing if this is something I should continue writing or scrap it. If you have any critisim that would be great!* Every person that comes in and out of our life makes our story worth telling. Some people come for only a chapter and others stay an entire book. I had come to the realization that it’s okay to let some people go, and others you needed to find a reason of why they left. I had another dream about her last night, this time she walked back into my life. My mother had left my father and me, eleven years ago on my seventh birthday. I can still recall the smell of the freshly made pancakes, and the screaming coming from the kitchen. I had woken up early that day with the hopes of being able to open a present early. Instead, I walked into a war zone with my mother throwing a vase at my father and everything else that was in reaching distance. Footsteps got louder and louder as they reached my bedroom, my mother kissed me goodbye and headed towards the front door as she walked out of my life forever. Glancing at my clock, I realized that my alarm had not been set the night before; I was going to be late for my last exam. I hurried out of bed, threw my clothes on and ran to the kitchen for a quick bite to eat. I saw that my dad had already made me a cup of coffee, freshly heated pop-tarts and a note telling me Happy Birthday. When my mother left, I had become my father’s whole world. I was the only person that he had left, and he wanted to make sure that I was completely taken care of. He had always reminded me that it wasn’t my fault my mother had left us and that she loved me. I always reminded him that she may have loved me but she couldn’t have been twice the parent he had become. I had gotten to my Psych Exam with minutes to spare. Skimming through as many notes as I was able to, I felt a tug on my shirt. “Lillian are you ready for this?” Kendall said with a concerned voice as she sat down next to me. “ I am more than ready for this, trust me. Knowing that this is my last exam of the year, I studied all night so I was actually able to enjoy my summer break.” “ Students you have exactly 90 minutes to complete this exam, once the 90 minutes are up, you will need to sat down you pencils and hand it in,” Professor Casem instructed. Once I had opened the packet, everything I had remembered about psychology had completely gone out the window. The only thing I was able to remember was the perfume my mother was wearing when she left. Why did her memory have to come at exactly this moment? I tried to shake it off, trying to remember what I had exactly studied that night. Once I had finished my exam, I slowly walked to my car. “Lillian, wait! I need to ask you something!” “Yeah?” “What are your plans for the break?” “ Haven’t really thought about it why?” “A bunch of us had thought about going to California, we all want to head over there go to the beach and maybe meet a movie star!” “ That sounds interesting but I might actually go to Florida.” “Florida? Why Florida?” “That’s where my mother is. I think its time I find her.”

Answer:
The real question is: Do YOU think you should continue? If you're enjoying writing then continue doing it. This is only your first time writing something. It is not going to be brilliant or exceptional from the first draft, that you need to learn right away. Keep writing if you want to and forget what we have to say as far as critiques are concerned.

Answer:
I don't think Griffin makes it past the 4th pick because Cleveland should definitely consider a quarterback. Some experts think Colt McCoy is a lost cause, and Griffin is extremley versatile if you surround him with a good offensive line. Its time the Browns developed a mean offense to compete in the AFC North. Also, I don't think the top 10 is too early for Michael Floyd and you have Quintin Coples going pretty late for maybe the top defensive end in this years draft. But overall, its a good mock draft. By the way, interesting pick for the AFC championship.
