What is the best way to get from Orlando to Daytona Beach without renting a car?
Question:
Me and 9 of my friends are going to Orlando, Florida for 2 weeks, and we definately want to make a trip to Daytona Beach. Now, renting a car seems like a great option. Oops, we are all aged 19 and 20... not old enough to rent a car. There is one or two companies that offer vehicles to 18+, but being from Canada, and also being broke, the ridiculous surcharges that we would have to pay make it not worth it. We would probably have to rent 2 seperate vehicles too as they would not allow us to rent a 10 passenger van. So we have scratched renting a vehicle. Is there any good shuttle services in Orlando that offer a 10 passenger van service from Disney Property to Daytona Beach, how does it work, when should we book it, and who should we contact about doing this. Do we simply pay for the ride + gratuity, or would there be other fees involved? Any other options that keep the cost low would be helpful. There is 10 of us and we are at Disney's Pop Century Resort.

Answer:
yes there are tons of suttle services at your hotel and in the whole area! i live in orlando. trust me you can get to daytona with no problem. when u get to your hotel just ask, you'll get the info. you need!

How much should I budget for a road trip to Daytona Beach?
Question:
I would be driving from Kansas City to Daytona Beach and my car gets 240 mpg. I found nice hotels on the beach for $49 a night and I would like to stay for three or four days. How much should I budget all together for food, going out (no shopping and I don't eat alot, I would mainly be going to enjoy the beach).

Answer:
I'd budget maybe $4,000, just so that you will definitely be able to cover everything that'll be coming at you.

Is there an inexpensive way to get back and forth from Orlando to Daytona Beach w/o renting a car?
Question:
I'm taking a vacation to Orlando and staying in Orlando all nights of the vacation, however we would like to spend the day in Daytona on a few of the days. Quite frankly we'd like to have some cocktails on the beach and don't want to be saddled with driving ourselves back. Doesn anyone know of any shuttle services or anything like that? Any guidance will be appreciated. Thanks

Answer:
You could try www.dots-daytonabeach.com. I think you would be better off just renting a car, and spending the night in Daytona.

What to do on our road-trip to spring break in Daytona Beach...?
Question:
10 of us are packing into 2 cars for spring break in March and heading down to Daytona Beach, FL. We're leaving from Virginia Beach on Friday and our hotel check-in isn't until 3pm on Saturday (14 hour drive) so we've got some time to kill on the drive down and want to make the most of it. What attractions would be great to stop at when were driving down the east coast for a group of college students?

Answer:
For college kids your most fun will be right in Daytona Beach, so get there early and hang out on the beach. You can park on the actual beach there and start your spring break before checking into the hotel. Or if you really want to break up the trip go to Savanah GA and see sights or stop in St Augustine, FL and look around. I've heard it is a quaint older town or go to Myrtle Beach South Carolina and spend a few hours there. But you like to drink (Don't drink and drive though) and party and have fun, you should go straight to Daytona beach because that is where it is at. Even if you don't go crazy, watching other people do it, is somewhat entertaining.

how would today's Nascar drivers do if they raced on the old Daytona Beach track?
Question:
suppose the Daytona Superspeedway was still the Beach track that it once was, how would drivers do on it today, how would the COT's or the past cars before the COT's have done if raced on it?

Answer:
Well, the COT would be difficult. That splitter would throw sand up, and it'd likely clog the grill causing them to overheat. As for the old car, it'd probably do OK. I can't think of any problems it might have.

Are there any authentic places to dance or eat in daytona beach? I mean NON TOURISTY places?
Question:
My husband and I won a free vacation to Daytona Beach and besides the beach, everything seems overpriced and commercialized tourist junk. Are there any residents who could suggest less "disneyland" places to go. We like latin culture including salsa dancing. What about places to eat? Any great local bars or restaurants? We will have a car so a bit of a drive is ok for us.

Answer:
Sorry not that I know of, everywhere here is really for tourist, what I mean anywhere near or kinda close to the beach its geared to them. Anyway there are a few places that doesn't really have tourists in it but I only know of Asian restaurants and Italian, am not so sure about any Latin diners but I have seen some Mexican ones. Sorry I couldn't help but maybe when you come here you may fall in love with another culture.
