Questions Related to orange, connecticut cars

In Connecticut, is it illegal to remove the orange tip from a airsoft gun?
Question:
I just purchased a chrome plated 1911 airsoft gun online. It comes with an orange tip that ruins the look I want to remove the orange tip, but I'm unsure if its illegal. I also bought a gun case of the pistol since i will be transporting it around in the trunk of my car (unsure if this would help if I were pulled over).

Answer:
The act of removing the orange tip is not illegal. Having it in public without an orange tip is. A dismantled weapon in a locked case in the trunk of a car is not illegal so that is fine, just make sure you never use it anywhere that is not private. Also, if your gun breaks, no airsoft shop will fix it for you without the orange tip because it is felony to do so.

Could I take a train from Stamford,CT to Orange New jersey?
Question:
I am buying a car in Orange New jersey and would like to know if it is possible to do this from stamford connecticut? If you can leave a schedule!

Answer:
You can take Amtrak as noted and have to go out of your way for $5 (or more) or you might consider the following (OK it will take several trains but these operate much more often than Amtrak does and will come out cheaper). From Stamford via MetroNorth to Grand Central - $12.50 one way (off-peak) r $16.50 one way (peak). Travel time is approximately 1 hour From Grand Central via subway (Fare $2.50 for a single ride ticket or $2.25 if you buy a MetroCard with at lest $4.50 on it). Take the 42nd St Shuttle (S train) to Times Square. At Times Square transfer (free) to a Downtown 1, o r 3 train (numbers in red circles) to 34th St-Penn Station (one stop). Travel time is about 15 minutes. From Penn station (exit the subway into Penn Station) take a NJ Transit MidTown Direct train to Orange NJ. Fare is $6.25 one way. Travel time is about 30 minutes. ****Train's final destination may be either Dover, or Summit ***** The total cost is $21.25 (off-peak) or $25.25 (peak) IMPORTANT NOTE: Make sure you buy your ticket(s) BEFORE boarding the train(s). Tickets purchased on-board will cost from $5.00 to $6.00 more. How Do I Recover From The Worst Day Of My Life?
Question:
I just had the WORST day of my life and I don't know what to do. It was AWFUL, from the moment I woke up until now. I'm just waiting for the next bad thing to happen to me. I cant stop crying and I have totally humiliated myself and everybody in the whole world hates my stupid guts. I'm Frank, I work part-time at Walmart and I'm attending the Connecticut Career College (CCC). I am working on an associates degree in Medical Office Assisting and hope to be a secretary at a medical facility in the future. I am 39 years old and single and live with my parents. This morning, mommy woke me up for school but I must have been having a nightmare because when she pulled the covers off of me I started screaming and jumped out of the bed and ran into the wall. My hip still hurts. While I was getting bathed and dressed, mommy made me a magical breakfast: Ham and eggs and fried potatoes and sausage and grits and toast and bacon and flapjacks and biscuits and gravy and coffee and buttermilk and orange juice and bamboo shoots. I only took a couple of bites until I got TERRIBLE diarrhea and had to run to the potty. I pooped like a dog and then throwed up. I made a mess and didn't even get to finish my breakfast. My carpool partner, Lois Kennedy, showed up and I got in the car (I don't have a driver's license). It takes about 30 minutes from my house to the parking garage beside the campus. I had to have Lois pull over about 10 minutes down the road and I got out and throwed up again. Stupid idiot people were driving by honking their horns and yelling mean stuff at me while I was throwing up. We got to the parking garage and parked the car. As we were walking towards the school this really cute girl I have a crush on named Kim Mays came out of the parking garage and was walking behind us. I was talking to Lois as we walked and was trying to act SUPER cool when I accidentally stepped off the curb. I fell into the street on my bad hip and not only did I let a really HUGE fart when I landed but I started to cry. I was SO humiliated. By the time I got up and got myself back together, I was late for class. When I walked into the classroom (Mr. Dlugos' typing class) everyone started laughing so I knew Kim must have told everyone what happened. While in typing class, I realized I had forgotten my dinner pail. Without thinking, I screamed and started to cry. Everyone laughed at me. I had to borrow a quarter from Lois to call mommy and have her bring my dinner pail to school so I would have something to eat for lunch. The rest of morning classes went OK. I farted in Medical Facilities class but it was silent and my farts don't stink so I don't think anyone noticed. But I think someone else farted at the same time because a lot of people started complaining about a terrible stench in the room. For lunch I had a hunk of bread, a slab of cheese, a pickled onion, a tomato and a lettuce leaf. I had buttermilk in my thermos. I managed to keep all of my lunch down but I got terrible indigestion and belched all afternoon. It was so embarrassing. Then came the WORST. On the upper floor, there is one bathroom, and its for either boys or girls. Before our final class of the day, I went to the bathroom. I sat down to take a poop and started thinking about Kim Mays and the little short skirt she was wearing so I decided to flog my dong while I was pooping. But I forgot to lock the door. Kim's best friend, Heather Rohulich, opened the door and saw me. She gagged and then ran out. I have never been more humiliated. My dong just shriveled up and I knew she went back to the classroom and told everybody. So I pulled up my shorts and my pants and left the bathroom and started back down the stairs. I tripped on the second step from the top and fell down the entire flight of stairs. It hurt so bad, but luckily no one saw me. I went to the parking garage and waited for Lois to come. As soon as she saw me she started laughing and told me that EVERYBODY in the whole school heard about me flogging my dong and pooping. I cried all the way home (while Lois was laughing at me) and when I got home I told Lois she was a stupid, mean old witch and I hoped she got cancer in her butthole. So now I have no way to get to school anymore. I guess mommy is going to have to drive me to school every day forever. What can I do? I have just been sitting here squalling all night. I am so miserable and stupid. I dont care about your stupid acai berry you stupid poophead buttwipe! You are just making my day that much worse! I wish I was dead!

Answer:

Help about where to stay in DC!!!!?
Question:
On Friday, I have a job interview at 11:00 a.m. on connecticut avenue, which I believe can be accessed by either the red line or the orange line. I have another interview at 2:30 in tysons corner. I need to know where to stay and how to get from a hotel to the 2 interviews. My original thought was to try to stay somewhere on the metro and take the subway into DC for the first interview. Take the metro back to my hotel, collect my rental car and drive to tyson's corner. But i do not know of any reasonably priced hotels on the metro line. Can anyone advise? please help. I should have mentioned the fact that i had already contact the courtyard and the only room they have available is a suite, for over 200. they agreed to give it to me for the going rate of a standard room if I stayed 2 nights. By reasonably priced, I would like a room for one night for less than 100. Thanks. Julie--how are you able to get those rates on the mariott website? they do not appear when I go there.

Answer:
Depends on what you mean by reasonably priced. There are a number of options. Marriott has a Courtyard, for example, at Dunn Loring, with rooms at the end of this week as low as $99 a night. It's directly across the street from the Metro station (orange line). In addition, you can take the metro to West Falls Church (one stop) and take a cab to your interview and back for less than renting a car. Addendum. Try going through the Marriott web site - that is where I got the $99 rate, and it was bookable through the site at the time I tried. There is also a Residence Inn in Tysons for $89 a night on the web site, however, it is not near metro, so you would need taxis to get to metro (unless they have a shuttle - that info is not available) Another option is the Wolf Trap Hotel in Vienna. This is pretty basic but clean, and rates for this weekend are $96. 430 Maple Ave West Vienna, VA 22180 703-281-2330 PLEASE NOTE - this weekend is the end of the Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington DC. This is THE MOST EXPENSIVE time of year to go to DC, and all the hotels are booked up. I'm very sorry but these rates really are unbelievably low for the area and this weekend. You will not do much better. Under $100 is extremely unlikely. This is particularly true if it must be on the metro line. Another Addendum, and I can still get a standard King room at the courtyard, but the price is now $109, through the Marriott Web site. Don W is also right about the Econolodge - I didn't mention them because their web site has rooms only from $129 and up. But they are very convenient to East Falls Church Metro.

When will the dangers of police work stop?
Question:
I was reading this article in pure sickness as i read what transpired on this day. The danger this culprit has put onto this lawman is sickening. Here is the article. And please respect the hard work of these heroes. AYER -- Key chains, baseball caps and T-shirts are acceptable souvenirs from a trip to Massachusetts. But a Connecticut man opted for a slightly different keepsake -- a highway traffic cone. The problem was that Alimi Veton, 19, lifted the bright orange cone from a busy highway work site on Interstate 495 in Westford. On June 16, State Trooper Edward MacDonald was working a paid detail at 8:20 p.m. when a motorist stopped to report that the driver of a Volkswagen Jetta with New York plates was driving erratically stealing traffic cones while driving. When the trooper caught up with the car, he saw the Jetta changing lanes and stopped it. Approaching the vehicle, MacDonald wrote that he saw a pilfered traffic cone on the back seat. But Veton was perplexed as to why he was stopped. Veton told the trooper that he drove along the highway at a safe speed of about 3 mph, opened the driver's side door and scooped the cone up, passing it in front of the steering wheel before tossing it in the back. MacDonald asked, why take a cone? Veton casually responded, "I was on vacation and it was a souvenir of my trip to Massachusetts," court records said. The trooper cited Veton for negligent operation of a motor vehicle because he could have caused an accident. In Ayer District Court, Veton recently admitted to the charge. And he was given another vacation souvenir -- a $400 bill for court fees. Tonalc- The issue is the danger needs to stop. These boys in blue are in dangers way all too often.
