Yep that's normal. It takes a while for driving to become second nature. It's also been a while since you took your test. Also, your new car may be different from the one you learnt in. Take your car to an open car park when it's not busy and practice your maneovers and clutch control before going out on the open road. Take someone with you for company. If not, why not? why don't more cars have heated steering wheels. it seems a warm steering wheel during the winter offers a more perceivable difference in wintertime than heated seats.
