What is the cheapest car to buy new in Britain?
Question:
I dont want to spend a lot, but I just want a new car for once!! Also - when can we buy a Tata, for example?? Or is that just in India?

Answer:
The cheapest cars in the UK are made by a company called Perodua. The cheapest in their range is the Kelisa. To be honest, you'd be better off buying a second hand supermini though.

do new honda's cars built for Great Britain specify 5w20 weight motor oil?
Question:
in the US new honda cars specify 5w20 weight motor oil, i've been told that 5w20 motor oil returns 1% beter fuel mileage but negatively impacts engine life

Answer:
It depends what motor oil you're comparing it to: Most UK spec cars now specify 0w-30 or 5w-30 oil. I assume that you are comparing this to 'old' heavier multigrade oil, from 10w or 20w up - this isn't deemed necessary any more due to the machining tolerances of modern engines - at one time, if you put a thinner grade of oil into an old engine, you'd get a problem with oil consumption. The idea of specifying lower viscosity multigrade oils is that they circulate quicker from cold & therefore cause less wear in the long term. I use 0w/30 semi synthetic in my Nissan 2.7TD with 150k miles on, no problems with wear or using any oil. Just looking at Castrol's website, looks like they show manufacturer's spec as 0w/30 for virtually all Hondas.

Do new cars in england have to be in the country when they are registered?
Question:
Are brand new, unregistered cars have to be in mainland britain to be registered? For example can they be registered when they are at the factory in another country.

Answer:
They are registered in whatever country they are in when registered. Many, in fact most, new cars are built abroad and brought here unregistered to be distributed to the dealers. When they are to be put on the road the dealers register them here. Those which the ship has delivered, say, to France would be registered by the French dealers.

What is the cheapest new car in Great Britain today?

Answer:
The Perodua Kelisa starts at about £4,520 but there's not much to recommend them beyond initial purchase price.

what is the cheapest new car available in Britain?

Answer:
I remeber seeing on TV it is the PERODUA KELISA, at £4,499 http://www.perodua-uk.com/4499offer.pdf The Aixam is classed as a "quadricycle" rather than a car :- Under EEC Directive 92/61/EC (superseded to 2002/24/EC) a new vehicle category was created. Quadricycles are defines as having a maximum unladen mass of 400kg and a maximum power of 15KW. AIXAM vehicles are specifically designed to meet these specifications.

Do you think the car bombs in Britain were organised by britain to make the new primeminister look good?
Question:
Just think the "terrorist" attacks, even the twin towers in the U.S.A. could have been organised by the U.S. and the car bombs in the U.K. also. Strange how the U.S.A. used their "terrorist" attack to invade, firstly, Afghanistan, then the invasion of Iraq. Why have the car bombs happened straight after Tony Blair resigned as Prime Minister? Are they to make Gordon Brown look good, as a new leader? The opinion polls in Britain were asking "how Gordon Brown coped with the attacks"? as the new P.M. I am really starting to wonder if these things are organised by their own officials, to justify their own agendas? I mean ,"Where is Osama Bin Laden, now.?" Nobody seems to care, now that the Middle East has a war going on. What do you think?

Answer:
Good question. I can't help but believe Osama bin Laden is dead. Last report I saw, read... he had liver failure and had to be on dialysis. I can't know for certain, though. As far as 'conspiracy theory' it certainly seems like it, sometimes. We may never know for certain. Those who may be involved will certainly never tell... When the writers tell our story, history, they will most assuredly have their own slant on things, so, who of us knows the real truth?

New cars in US & Canada compared to UK?
Question:
When I visited the US recently, I found that not a lot of brand new cars (from last two years) were driving around. Is this just me not being differentiate between old and new (because I'm use to Euro-spec and European cars), or are Americans and Canadians just not as compelled to buy new cars? In the UK with our number plate system which dates cars (XX11 XXX OR XX61 XXX for 2011/12) where the "11" designation is for March 1st 2011 til August 31st and "61 will be for September 1st 2011 til the last day of February in 2012. It seems Brits are more inclined to purchase new cars as their cars will be clearly showing their age, but surely in the US & Canada they could easily afford newer cars? At least more so than people in Britain for sure; seeing as North American taxes are no where near as extortionate. To "A war on life"; of course I do! But don't forget the Global Economic Crisis hit the UK extremely hard, the United Kingdom was actually one of the worst affected and was THE slowest recovering developed country in the world. But even then, one of our worst years (financially) was 2009 yet there are plently of 2009 registered vehicles that can be seen around the UK.

Answer:
In the US you are given a license plate number by the DMV and that stays with you not the car so you can't tell the age of a car by the plate.

In Britain why is it they want you to buy cars to look nice and shiny on?
Question:
Your driveway, but they do not want you to use them on the roads. Thats wy they want to charge road tolls, congestion charge, high parking fees, and they are building more and more houses and flats with no garages so they rust quicker so you will have to buy a new one. Cheeky Goverment, what do you think?

Answer:
I think you are wrong. Who wants you to buy a new car? Most people renew their car every 2-5 years. It is more about image and keeping up with technology, more than needing to replace something rusted! People want the latest metal, better fuel economy and safer designs, when they are launched! It is about image! Most cars are electro dipped and zinc coated. Paints are much higher quality and cars are more reliable. Most new houses have a garage, most people fill with junk. All new properties have to have a parking space by law. People need to go to places regardless of whether the government wants to introduce schemes, people will still use cars because the UK public transport infrastructure has been poorly planned for decades. Modern cars do not rust, unlike cars from 1980's, cars can easily do 200,000 miles and many have plastic panels or are aluminium by construction they are safer and better made.

Is Britain the new most hated country in the world?
Question:
Back in the good old days it seemed like the whole world was united in one thing, and that was hating the yanks. But with all the recent threats (7/7, 21/7, heathrow, failed car bombings and Glasgow, all in such a short space of time), does everyone hate us now? Thanks for the answers! Some comments I would like to add... Goldman, I fully understand your frustration,, hence why I asked this question... I am not a supporter of the Iraq war, or Afghanistan and am not proud at all of alot of things we are doing at the moment, or have done in the past. Dadacoolone, I am truly sorry that I was not around to enjoy the empire, or even when we were losing our last colonies half a century ago, as you apparently were. And that the only traces of the IRA I see is when I go to an old firm match! I am saying the yanks are hated because this is what I have gathered from living abroad, and in Britain. For example, when September 11 happened, I was living in Cameroon at the time, or 'The Cameroons' as you might still know it. These people do not historically have a reason to hate America, since very little has happened between the two. However, some of the locals I was watching the news with were LAUGHING at the people jumping out of the towers! Surely there must be some sort of strong feelings there! So I am sorry that I am not as old and wise as you are, in fact I am quite surprised that you manage to work the internet! I will take your advice nonetheless, I will take a history lesson 'THAN' I will grow up. Spannerbox- yeah, but who? Big John Prescott's a likely candidate, he certainly stood up for himself when he got egged!... yes I am joking I dont want him as PM.

Answer:
No, actually, it seems people in Britain hate the country more than the rest of the world. Check out MSN news.

A new britain?
Question:
Now don't take this the wrong way, i'm not racist or anything but i think britain is not british anymore. Our beautiful island that we have and our culture is being taken away from us by outsiders, people entering our country because it is the easiest country to get into and then bring their families over etc etc and we are losing our heritage! Pretty soon there will be no british left... I hate to say it but refugies are coming here to escape whatever nastiness is in their country and we are giving them money, houses, cars and everything that the british people are getting f*ck all of!! Aids is getting into this country because of people carrying aids coming into our country and having unprotected sex with the british... It is wrong! But nothing is being done about it... We are letting pedophiles live near schools and it is totally wrong! I suggest we get rid of anyone that is not british... from our country and start anew. We need to reassert ourselves as a dominant force. If we got rid of the polish we would all have jobs then... compared to asylum seekers we get shit benefits in the UK! that's why they bring their families over because it's so easy and they get paid for by our completely f*ck wit government! Get rid of the non british and start again... ZERO TOLLERANCE!!! you aint british f*ck off and earn or live somewhere else.. We need to reclaim our society! Once all the non british are gone i would stop any monitary problems by having no british currency... All british would be equal... You could walk into a shop and take what you wanted (within reason). We would continue to work and nothing would change other than there being no money exchanged. Import and export of certain things would remain the same but at a cost to the rest of the world. The british would benefit from being british.

Answer:
One would be surprised at how many presumably Brit like people are not actually british but from mainland europe, but still they are very good at their jobs and are part of the british establishment. At some point the UK will probably join the euro due to overwhelming trade issues and reasons, and of course we will be forever tied to the european mainland because we need to rely on our fuel and natural gas resources coming from countries situated over there. Since you mention the polish let's keep it to a mainly european affair, noone has a problem until the typically british looking person opens his mouth and you realise he comes from some country in europe. I personally don't have a problem with anyone most of the people I have met are quite polite and don't look down on everyone else, if it were otherwise I would hold other opinions.
