Message me if you want more. It gets to be a romance/mystery/young adult. The town had been peaceful for over twelve years, then. From 1986 to 1997, no crime had occurred, save for the youth’s harmless pranks and endeavors into shoplifting. I haven’t researched this deeply, but I think the biggest crime in those period of years was a case of Grand Theft Auto that involved the local car dealership (owned by my good friend, Brody’s, father), Bruce’s Used Cars. Bruce’s Used Cars provided rental spaces for people (teenagers for the most part) to work on the cars they’d bought there that weren’t in working order. The crime had been that of Mike Payne (17, at the time, 1995, talked out in class, slept through all of World History, and only stayed in school for Shop class) had stolen another kid’s (Robert Shell, 16, bought an old Plymouth that barely ran) car that he’d been paid to be working on for weeks. I guess he’d had enough of working on the car because one day he’d just zoomed off right past the Canadian border (of course, when he came back, two years later, he was immediately arrested). Anyway, the point is that barely any crime had occurred from 1986 to 1997 in Castle Rock, Pennsylvania. I, Kathy Smithson, was born on exactly June 13th, 1983, a Friday on which the last crime before June 13th, 1997 occurred. The crime had been a double homicide of both my mother and my father who’d been taking us home from the hospital at the time. I’m also a part of triplets (fraternal, two boys, Tommy and Warren, and me). Brody (the son of Bruce, the Used Car place owner) was also born on the same Friday the 13th. On our 11th birthday, the first murder in Castle Hills since 1983 happened. It had been a detective by the name of Robert Gray. Robert Gray had been my father’s best friend when he’d died (at age 32, born 1954). They’d grown up together next door (the same house that my aunt, Missy Smithson, had taken care of us in all those years) and gone to the police academy during the same years. When my parents had been murdered, Robert became obsessed with their case. His wife and kids (Patty Gray, 35; Farah, 15; Tommy, 20) left him once their house was littered with case files and old pictures, and after he was fired (after being assigned to another case), he became a recluse. Patty had found him when dropping off Farah at his house for a ski trip. He’d been found dead in his bedroom, under the mattress with five stab wounds in his chest, blood spurting from beneath the mattress. My aunt, who’d been good friends with both my parents and Robert, had told me explicitly about how they found him the moment she found out. I’ve liked slasher movies ever since because it gave me a sense of what he’d went through. We are a family with many young ones. We homeschool for health reasons, but would like to explore private schools for the future. We would like to start attending church, but are their catholic churches out there? Is it diverse enough to raise bi-racial children? We like Castle Rock and Longmont so far. We have not lived anywhere but Southern California, any tips on car and house upkeep in snowy conditions? We love doing family things together, this seems like a great place for that....anyone with experience in Colorado living? Are house,car and health insurance less expensive for a reason? Any info will be appreciated, really!

I vote for Castle Rock, moved here 15 years ago from N.J. love the town. wouldn't want to live any where else. great people, schools , churches , ,one Catholic church. St. Francis. .
