Question: I'm buying a new car in Wyoming, it is cheaper to license the car in Montana and all that but I don't want to change my driver's license since i just got a new one for Wyoming. Why do midwesterners sit on their front porch and watch cars go by? Question: I used to live in Wyoming, and I moved to Wisconsin. I see people who just sit on their front porch and watch cars go by. It is kind of weird. I know people grill/entertain/socialize, in the back yard, but the front is kind of weird. I never used to see this in Wyoming or in New Jersey, where a lot of my family lives. Why do they do it, and why here? Answer: It's a rural habit left over from the time when no one had air conditioning. It's February, BTW. I don't know where you are in Wisconsin, but when I lived there it was damned cold in February. No one should be out on the porch. |

My car is registered and titled in Wyoming, but I want to sell it in California, what do I need to do? Question: I am trying to sell my used car, but am unsure of how to go about transferring the title. I am living in San Diego and I'd like to quickly sell my old car. Does anyone have experience selling a car with out of state plates and title? Is it even possible? Answer: It is really no big deal. You need to give the buyer the Wyoming title, bill of sale and odometer statement (you can get the form at Calif. DMV) and a smog certificate. He then needs to go to California DMV and have the car verified which is free and only takes a few minutes and then transfer it like any other car. |
