How to get Hired BY bank to repo cars *ohio*?
Question:
I was wondering how to go about getting hired by banks or other companys to repo cars. Im going to by a truck and repo unit for the truck. I know you have to be insured and bonded. But insured how much. What woud be the best way going about this

Answer:
With the minimums required by the banks, insurance bond, and such, also a back round report on you, more then likely some type of business records, you would also have to offer them something the other existing companies don't. Like lower contract rate, lower storage fees, reconditioning services, etc. It's a lot as down the line if something goes south, they are the ones who hired you and could be held liable in a suit. Don't expect a lotta help from the other companies in the business, you are a competetor and takeing money out of their wallets.

Does anyone know the law in Ohio for buying and selling cars?
Question:
Is there a certain limit of cars you can buy and sell a year in Ohio? I am just a car lover and I purchase different cars, keep them for awhile, then sell them to get something else. I looked on the OHIO DMV website and found nothing. Does anyone know a website that would disclose this info? Thanks.

Answer:
I think after selling 4 in 12 months you need a Vendors License.

Does columbus ohio have ordinances regarding how many cars can park publicly and legally for one resident?
Question:
My neighbor across the street from me has four cars in which one is never moved but every six months and he takes turns with the other. I usually have to rush home just to get my spot in front of my own house. Where can I find information on Columbus, Ohio parking ordinance and who can I call to get help with this.

Answer:
no such law. Hence, you can have a party and your guests can take up the whole street.

What football program in Ohio offers cars for 0 down, 0% interest, and 0 payments to their players?

Answer:
Ohio State's football program and coach are as corrupt as Chicago politics. "I has a hat" seems to be in denial. OU has been nailed with major violations at about once a decade since about 1950. OU has taken cheating to a new level and, like football, they don't do it very well because they get caught all the dang time. OU is garbage. Ohio State is garbage.

why does Ohio have a split speed limit for cars and trucks when it is unsafe?
Question:
Ohio has a 65mph speed limit for cars and 55mph for Trucks. As a truck driver I feel this is unsafe. I drive from Ohio to PA and back everyday. and In WVA the speed limit is 70mph with curves and hills. Ohio roads are pretty straight. Any thoughts?

Answer:
It's sheer madness, I tell ya. Though I did hear "trucker rumor" that a prior governor of Ohio had a kid killed by a speeding truck. Or something. At least that's the story on why the law was initially passed. Try California....a 70/55 mph split, and most of the 4-wheelers do 80 on the interstates, without even a sideways glance from CHP. Let a trucker DARE to drive 64 mph through the desert, though.... I almost feel like putting a sign on the back of my truck, every time I have to get into the passing lane and inevitably cause a line of cars to drop their speed 15 mph....the sign would say "TIRED OF SLOW TRUCKS HOLDING YOU UP? CONTACT YOUR STATE & LOCAL REPRESENTATIVES- REPEAL THE 55 MPH SPLIT SPEED LIMIT FOR TRUCKS. ONE SPEED TRAFFIC FLOW IS SAFER & EASIER FOR ALL. HAVE A NICE DAY" One of these days I'm gonna get by a graphics shop and have a sign made, I'm just afraid of what Cal DOT would say about it LOL.

Is there mandatory liability insurance for rental cars in ohio?
Question:
I live in NY and rented a car from Avis in OH, without taking out liability insurance (ALI). I bumped someone's car and I want to know if by law I'm covered up to a certain amount even without having any personal automobile or credit card insurance. My questions was regarding the other car. I understand that the rental company has insurance for themselves; my question is if that covers me also, or will I have to pay out of pocket to cover their expenses to fix the other car.

Answer:
Ask the hire company. In the UK, the only option you have is to pay a small fee when you hire a vehicle to waive your portion of the claim if you have a crash. In this country you have to have third party insurance BY LAW. I can't see any state in the US hiring a vehicle out without insurance. If you crashed, how are they going to get their vehicle repaired, let alone the third party?

Can I buy cars at auction and sell for profit in Ohio without a license?
Question:
I am interested in reselling cars purchased at auction. Do I need a license in Ohio to do this. I do not have a lot and want to do it from my home. How many can I sell without a license?

Answer:
Q17: How many motor vehicles can I sell before I must obtain a motor vehicle dealer's license? A17: Five (5) motor vehicles within a twelve (12) month period.

Is there a website that I can get an idea of what cars are going for at a dealer auction for cars in Ohio?
Question:
Looking to buy a 2002 Ford Escort ZX2 with 58,000 miles on it. Dealer wants $6000 for it but I don't think he will get that much for it. Wanted to get an idea of what he will get at an auction for it for better haggling power.

Answer:
just search it on google.com

is there an ohio law that states cars have to be parked a certain distance from a mailbox?
Question:
The post office has stopped delivering our mail because they say they can't get to the mailbox. It's blocked. It's not blocked. The mail carrier just doesn't want to have to back up. Any cars parked in front of our house are at least 7 feet away from the mailbox. I don't see what the problem is here except that our mail carrier is just lazy. It is a public street and cars are parked on it everywhere.

Answer:
It's the USPS policy, not state laws that dictate where they will deliver mail. I had the same problem and also noticed it was only specific carriers that complained and wouldn't deliver the mail if they couldn't comfortably reach the mailbox from inside their vehicle. We had a different mail carrier almost every day. Some had no problem with the vehicles and others would slow down, look at the box, and just drive on to the next box. I think it's laziness, because as you said, it's a public street and cars will park everywhere. The postal customers have no control over who parks where or how close they get to our mailboxes..........

At Mid-Ohio, how fast were the Le Mans cars and Indy Cars going at the end of the longest straight?
Question:
Me and my dad went to watch the ALMS race at Mid-Ohio. Earlier in the day we watched the Indy Car practice and qualifying. Our seats were at the near the end of the longest straight after the exit to the "keyhole." The Indy Cars were going fast enough to see the wind coming off of the back wing. This was the first race we went to ever and we want to know how fast the Indy Cars and the LMP1 cars were going at the end of the longest straight.

Answer:
The vapour you're seeing is more a result of the aerodynamic differences between the LMP cars and the Indycars, and actually a sign of the increased drag that open wheel cars have to fight. Still overall the Indycars are slightly faster. Looking at qualifying times for that weekend, Indycars held a 4.5 second/lap edge over the fastest ALMS prototypes (which should be expected - the ALMS cars are endurance racers are are designed to be able to run much longer periods of time than the Indycars). In terms of top speed, I've not seen any team from either series release their race telemetry, but from segment times and other data, it looks like the Indycars were seeing a little over 180mph top speed. The fastest ALMS cars were likely a couple MPH shy of those numbers. In race trim, the top speeds would be very close, with the main difference in speed coming in the corners and on corner exit (which is where the Indycar would ultimately gain it's small speed advantage on the straights).
