Compare what you have in itemized deductions to what the standard deduction is for your filing status. Use the figure that is going to allow you to subtract the most from your income. Interest rate depends on what make you are looking at, and what dealerships are offering It depends on your credit rating and what you qualify for. You may get a better interest rate at a local bank. It is up to you to do your homework and find out. There is no pat answer for that question in NJ or any other state. As for sales tax, it is 7%

How come people can't pump there own gas for there cars in New Jersey?

I live in New Jersey and at gas stations, we aren't allowed to pump our own gas. They have someone do it for them. Why is that? I hate it. It is the same thing in Oregon.

It's pressure from labor rights groups for the attendants. They rationalize it by saying that consumers top-off which is bad for the environment and it's safer for consumers because they don't have to get out of their cars. It's basicaly just a big scam.

I do not know about that dealership but Carmax has some locations in NJ which are above board when it comes to trust, service and price. I'm not sure if Carmax is equipped to handle sales to Canadians - you need to check on the policies regarding importing cars from the US to Canada and call the Carmax store before traveling down here.

Question about Moving to New Jersey Car registration?

It says i have 60 days to get the title transferred over to new jersey. Are they going to research exactly how long i've lived here in order to determine if I am eligible? It's been a little bit longer than that. I just haven't had the money to transfer everything over. It's expensive in NJ 85 dollar fee for title transfer and 59 registration fee, ugh. I am curious if i go to apply to have the title transferred if they will deny it because they know i've been here for more than 60 days.
