Any body knows of a good auction that has Repo cars in Maryland?
Question:
I'm looking to buy a car and since I actually want to own it ..I'm thinking of buying one at a auction but I don't know where it will be a good auction here in Maryland I'm willing to travel as far as 3 hours away from Maryland. thanks

Answer:
I am an auctioneer in MD and we sell Montgomery Co. Police impounds. It is Once a month in Rockville. Drive like your going to the MVA there, keep going straight past it and over the train tracks. The next one is 23 of Feb. There are a lot more around though. Our website is gregoryandwarfield.com A good web-site to go to is auctionzip.com and it can tell you about near by auctions.

What's a reliable website to buy used cars in Maryland?
Question:
I'm looking for a used car, and I don't want to look on websites with postings on fake cars. I need a reliable website where I can start looking for cars. If you've personally used the website before and liked it, please let me know too :) ...thanks!

Answer:
autotrader.com is typically reliable. However, I would advise you to contact the current owner and request a Carfax report before making any purchasing decisions.

does the lemon law in maryland apply to used cars purchase or its only new cars?
Question:
i bought a used car in maryland with warranty, and drove it for less than 1000 miles,it started giving me problems and i took it back to the dealership for repair, they gave their rental car instead and its driving smoothly,my car has been in the shop for a month ++ and they have still not repaired it,do i have the right to claim the rental car they have given me for exchange?

Answer:
A used car is not covered under the lemon law in Maryland, and you can not keep the loaner car in exchange for the car that you purchased. You do not say what the problem was with your car, but they dealer has provided you with transportation, and they are not required to do that. Call the dealer to find out what the delay is in getting your car repaired.

Driving thru Maryland today, we noticed many cars with a barcode on the left passenger window. What is it?
Question:
We saw this on a trip today. It was just a barcode on the window of the passenger. We thought it might be an EZ pass thing, but it was on cars from Maryland, Virginia, New York, etc. We could not figure it out but we saw so many cars with it. Does anyone know what it could be? Thanks

Answer:
It has nothing to do with the vehicle registration. It is for prepaid tolls, sold to commuters. They are phasing the bar code stickers out, and are replacing them with the EZ Pass transponders!

I have a question about passing cars in Maryland...?
Question:
When I change a lane to pass a car, you obviously have to get in front of the car before you change back to your original lane. My question is, in Maryland, how far do you have to be in front of the other car before you change back to your original lane? I am not looking for opinions, I would prefer an answer that would be what the MVA would agree with. A source would be appreciated. Thanks!

Answer:
at least a couple of car length before pulling back into your lane.

Does anyone know reliable auctions for cars in maryland?
Question:
My mom wants to buy me a truck or van, it is also for the family. She wants to buy used, so I am trying to find something, though she is leaning towars a van, a truck is what I want. Also what costs more to insure? Thx

Answer:
Define a "reliable" auction. If you're talking about a police auction, consider the source. They're all vehicles that have been impounded. So, either they're cars left on the side of the road, vehicles seized during drug busts, etc. All that they've done, is clean them up somewhat, and put them on the auction block. That said, it's not their personal vehicles. They don't care what condition they're in, because it's total profit anyway. Plus, just because they're advertised at $500 Police Auction, that's just the starting bid. Most times than not, the vehicles go for close to what you would pay for them anyway. There's really no benefit to it. If she wants to buy a used vehicle, buy it from a person, not an auction.
