Is there any lemon laws in Idaho that pertain to used cars? Question: I bought a used car less than 1 month ago and I'm having very minor transmission problems. I'm afraid it will turn into something worse or just be expensive right now. Anyways, I declined the warranty offered (regretfully). I dug through Idaho laws and even checked the BBB and couldn't find any lemon laws that pertained to used cars, only new. Im starting to think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and pay for this potential problem myself. For ther record, I bought this from a dealer. If you have any information, it would be greatly appreciated. Answer: There are a few states that have Lemon Law protection on used vehicles, but the vehicle must still be under the original manufacturer's warranty. Even if you were covered (and you're not), it would take quite a bit more than "minor transmission problems" to force a Lemon Law case. Depending on the state, it usually takes 3-4 instances of the dealer trying to fix the same issue with no resolution. The BBB is useless, by the way. Any used vehicle purchase is deemed "as is" unless noted in writing. However, if you go in and nicely ask for help, the worst the dealer could do is say "no". However, they can legally tell you to take a hike. ***ADD -- Edward... nice copy/paste of my answer. Keep that crap up and I'll gladly report you. My daughter wants to move from Calif to Idaho. She got a DUI and suspended license. She has completed all of? Question: her court appointed class and paid fines. She still has DL suspension. She is moving to Idaho. Her car is in Ca with expired tags as it has not been running. She is wanting to sell car to us. We just paid to fix it. How do we do all this and get it ready to be legal to drive it from Ca to Idaho? Also what will she need to get a Idaho ID card with DL still in suspension when she gets to Idaho? Answer: what a mess, sorry. Whomever is going to be driving the car is going to have to get it licensed somehow, in California. You can't take Idaho tags with you to CA for a car they haven't even seen in ID. When your daughter goes to DMV in Idaho, they are going to ask for her license from another state, and if she doesn't have it, they are going to communicate via computer on the spot with that other state so they will see that it is suspended. You could always call your local county courthouse motor vehicles dept. in Idaho to get their suggestions. |

Just enter the information you have and they calculate different times and costs. In my experience UPS Ground Service is a little cheaper than Fedex, but I am shipping out of NY. |

You might check with Enterprise to se if they do something like that. Unfortunately U-Haul doesn't offer auto rental one way outher than a small truck. |
