Has anybody noticed that there are SO MANY Arizona cars here in California since yesterday? Question: Since yesterday, I have been seeing SO MANY Arizona cars roaming the streets it's not even funny! I felt like I was in North Carolina seeing so many California cars. Are they running away from SB1070 or what? Obviousman - Actually, we get so many Bakos coming to Pismo Beach. I find it so weird that all these Arizona people started coming yesterday (on the day before SB1070 was to pass.) Answer: We call them zonies, they visit by the thousands every summer to get away from extreme heat, if you go to Coronado island it's even worse, they invade the town, but hey I guess they contribute to better SD's economy. |

Question: I want companies still in business and that all i have to do is drop of my car and cash and pic up a full electric car. Answer: Most of the conversion can be done by any garage. That's ripping out the gas engine and accessories. For the fabrication of brackets, and any cutting, drilling and welding that needs to be done, you have to get a job shop (machine shop). Then it's back to the mechanic for installation. To minimize your cost at the job shop, there are kits that have custom adapter plate, love joy coupling, motor and battery brackets, made to mount specific motors, like the Netgain Warp 9, in specific cars, like a Toyota Tercel. Actually, now that think about it, any custom chop shop should have the capability to convert your car over, all in one place if you drop off the components. What is the sales tax for cars in Arizona? Question: My mom is buying a car in NY for me. I live in NY..but the car will be registered as an AZ car (I will be moving in about 6months- 1yr). Now my question is....I know we're paying AZ sales tax but...with that AZ sales tax (maricopa county 6.3%) are we adding the city tax where my mom lives? Answer: With most states, when you purchase a car from out of state and you bring the car into the state and register it there, the state will charge sales tax as if you purchased the car there. If you paid sales tax in the state in which the car was purchased, you can claim that as a credit against the sales tax charged by the registering state. Therefore, if you register the car in AZ, AZ will charge sales tax upon registration. However, since you will have paid NY sales tax, and the NY sales tax rate is higher than AZ, no AZ sales tax will need to be paid. Generally, an exception to this is if you owned the car for more than one year prior to bringing the car into the state and registering it. |

Help :) Thanks in advance! Answer: Salt on the roads. Arizona uses sand (if anything) on the roads on bad weather. Ontario has snow all the time and uses lots of salt on the roads. The salt causes the metal on the cars to rust. |

Answer: Well I've actually attended both, and I would have to say this has nothing to do with what school the girl is at. Girls will date you if you can't drive, but it is REALLY annoying. My boyfriend doesn't have a car. I am always having to drive him around everywhere! It'd be nice to not always be the one doing the pick up and driving for dates. But yes, if a girl really likes you then she will put up with you and date you. |
