What is the sales tax for cars in Arizona?
Question:
My mom is buying a car in NY for me. I live in NY..but the car will be registered as an AZ car (I will be moving in about 6months- 1yr). Now my question is....I know we're paying AZ sales tax but...with that AZ sales tax (maricopa county 6.3%) are we adding the city tax where my mom lives? Or just the 6.3% since we're not actually buying a merchandise in that certain city. I'm just confused...any comment will help. Thanks.

Answer:
With most states, when you purchase a car from out of state and you bring the car into the state and register it there, the state will charge sales tax as if you purchased the car there. If you paid sales tax in the state in which the car was purchased, you can claim that as a credit against the sales tax charged by the registering state. Therefore, if you register the car in AZ, AZ will charge sales tax upon registration. However, since you will have paid NY sales tax, and the NY sales tax rate is higher than AZ, no AZ sales tax will need to be paid. Generally, an exception to this is if you owned the car for more than one year prior to bringing the car into the state and registering it.

Who has some information about the GM auction in Arizona for oldtimers and special cars?
Question:
Have read in the motorpress that GM sells some special cars of the own collection to make some money. Has somebody got a link to an auction catalogue? Or how could I take part in the auction? When?

Answer:
Do you mean the Barrett Jackson auction held in Arizona? They featured that on The Speed Channel constantly for the past few days, but I think it may be over now. Too bad that you missed it. GM sold some one-of-a-kind concept cars in the auction, and some of them didn't sell for as high as I thought considering how unique they were. Here's some of them that I saw go up for auction - 1992 Chevy Impala SS 510ci (actually had a 510ci big block!) 1994 Chevy Impala SS 6-speed manual (all of the production versions had 4-speed automatics) 1987 Pontiac Trans Am Twin Turbo (I would have bought this one if I had the money LOL!) 1990's C4 Corvette 454 (yes, they put a 454 in a C4 Corvette!) 1990's Corvette ZR-1 with active suspension There were a few others but I can't remember what they were.

Where is a good place to buy used cars in Phoenix Arizona?
Question:
I am mainly looking for Mitsubishi's

Answer:
I don't know if it's still there. Used to be on Camelback and 16th Street many years ago. Miracle used cars had a good inventory that changed every week. Their motto was, "If it's a good one, it's a Miracle".

I NEED A TOWING COMPANY THAT WILL BRING TWO CARS TO ARIZONA FROM WASHINGTON STATE???!!!?
Question:
I have two cars in Blaine, Washington and I need a a towing company to bring them to Phoenix, Arizona... Please can someone tell me of a company that will bring them from Washington to Arizona. Thanks!

Answer:
I personally had a 2001 Mitsubishi eclipse moved from Portland Oregon to Tampa Florida it cost me 1050, You Must do a lot of research, make sure you go to the better business bureau website: http://www.bbb.org/online/ that way you can pick a moving companie that has a C or C+ or Higher rating because a lot of this moving companies will not move your car for months or not move it at all, you want to make sure you just are not giving your car to some thief that just has a semi and steal your car, you have to make sure they have a license to move the cars. Shop around to get the best deal I had companies that would charge me anywhere from 700$$ to 2000$$ But the best thing you can do again is to go to the better business bureau website. There you will be able to read reviews from customers and see what they're rating is, you will also be able to get the contact information for the companie you choose. Good luck and don't get ripped off
